Dani found herself roped in by the guys to ask Gustavo yet another favor.

This time it was Prom.

Dani could only imagine going to prom.

It's the one night she grew up dreaming about: the perfect dress, a date, and a great time with friends.

Dani stood in the center of the group as they smiled, standing side by side as Gustavo made his way towards his office with Kelly beside him.

"Well, this should be interesting." Gustavo mumbled, eyeing the group cautiously.

Logan pressed play on the boom box sitting on the table beside him, causing upbeat background music to play.

"All over the world this month, teens are participating in a right of passage." Kendall explained. "And that passage is simply known as... Prom."

"Give it to them!" Dani quietly snapped at the duo beside her, not once taking her eyes off of Gustavo and Kelly.

James and Carlos pulled out a corsage and a boutonniere, quickly putting them on the record producer and his assistant before stepping back.

"Mr. Rocque, we've given you over a year of our lives to pursue pop stardom." Carlos spoke, causing the other four to nod. "Now please, don't make us give up that magical, magical night of dancing, smooching, and prime rib."

"Now we beg of you, Gustavo Rocque, will you give us the gift of Prom?" James questioned.

"Good Speech." Gustavo admitted.

"Yes!"

"Aw, I remember my prom, and Dani and the boys deserve one too." Kelly said, turning her attention to Gustavo. "And, oh, look, a letter opener."

"Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please.!" The five teens begged.

"Fine, I'll pay for your prom." Gustavo sighed, caving in.

That caused the five teens to cheer happily.

"He said yes. Why the 'Uh-oh?" Dani questioned, looking around at the boys.

"It's the boom box." Carlos said, pointing over at it.

"It's playing Big Time Rush." Logan explained, trying to turn it off. "I can't shut it off."

"Just press the button on the left." Gustavo said.

"Shut it off!"

"It won't turn off!"

The five teens made their way into the lobby of the Palm Woods, where the rest of the teens waited for an answer.

"Well?"

"He said yes!" The group announced, causing everyone to cheer, but only for a split second.

"We need dresses!" The Jennifers quickly raced out of the Palm Woods along with all the other girls, knocking over the boys of Big Time Rush in the process.

"Gotta love girls during prom season." Dani chuckled as the boys got back up.

"Is Prom supposed to hurt?" Logan cried.

"Yes," Dani replied.

"So should I go rent a tux?" Steve turned to Camille, gaining the group's attention.

Steve is the same guy that Camille went to see Kiss and Tell with a few months ago, and to Dani's surprise, the pair was still together.

"Well, if that's your way of asking me to the prom, then let's go." Camille said, causing the boy to grab her hand before pulling her through the group.

Camille sent a quick smile and wave to the group before she disappeared with Steve.

The four teens quickly turned to Logan as he watched the couple disappear out of the doors before he turned to their gaze.

"Pfft. Okay, I'm fine, okay? We're not going out. And she can go with whoever she wants."

"Don't worry. When I'm Prom King," James said, pulling out an actual crown and placing it on his head, causing the others to share a look. "There will be plenty of room for you and your other non-kings in my court."

"You bought a crown?" Carlos questioned, narrowing his eyes at the boy as he pointed at the crown placed on his head.

"Yeah, prom crowns tend to be made of cardboard. I wanted something more authentic." James stated, pointing at the crown on his head with a smile.

"You do realize, your highness." Dani sarcastically spoke, causing the boy to smirk. "Prom King and Queen usually goes to the longest couple, which is technically Camille and Steve."

"They're not together, okay?" Logan snapped, causing the girl to put her hands up in defense.

"Sorry, they're not together." Dani corrected herself. "Which means that crown is up for grabs for anyone."

"I'm not afraid of you." James said, causing the blonde girl to glare at the boy.

"Unless, of course, the sentimental vote rules the night, which goes to the most liked person at the prom. And that would be Dani and her date." Logan spoke.

"Ha!" Dani smirked.

"Or the hottest couple vote, which would go to me when I pick my queen. Mm-hm." James explained before leaning in toward the blonde girl. "You might want to bow now."

"I might want to hit you now." Dani threatened.

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!" Carlos said, holding his arms up between the group. "Let's not forget about the underdog vote, given to the most unexpected couple at the prom, which will be me and Jennifer."

"Which one?" James asked.

"I don't know yet." Carlos admitted, shrugging his shoulders. "But that is why I hired my Jennifer consultant."

"Okay, let's get you a date to the prom." Katie said, appearing beside Carlos. "Take off the helmet."

Carlos quickly waved to the group as he followed closely behind the younger Knight.

"Still waiting for that bow." James said, looking at the trio standing in front of him.

"Well, you'll be waiting all day then." Dani said, sending the boy a smile before she walked away from the group.

Dani received an urgent message from Kelly to meet her and Gustavo at the studio.

As Dani made her way down the familiar hallway, she noticed multiple tables set up with Gustavo dressed as a chef.

"What's going on here?" Dani hesitantly asked, causing the two adults to turn to the teen girl.

"Gustavo here decided to fire the only available chef, photographer, and DJ in all of Los Angeles for Friday, and now we have to put on the prom ourselves." Kelly explained.

"I still don't see how this involves me." Dani trailed off, motioning towards the multiple tables.

"I need you to work the prom." Gustavo announced, causing the girl to quickly shake her head.

"No."

"I'll pay you 100 bucks an hour." Gustavo offered. "You can have three 5-minute breaks, and I'll let you announce the Prom King and Queen."

"No."

"200."

"No!"

"300."

"This is my first real prom, and I actually really want to go! I want to be like everyone else; get all dressed up, enjoy the night with my friends, and maybe even find a date." Dani confessed.

"Aw, we can't make her work her prom." Kelly sighed, smiling at the girl, causing Dani to shake her head.

"$500! My final offer." Gustavo said, pointing at the girl.

"Gustavo!"

"Fine, you can enjoy your little dance." Gustavo sighed, causing the girl to grin. "But I expect you to perform one song."

"Done!" Dani said, quickly nodding her head. "So what do you guys have?"

"We have Chef Gustavo with the Prom's two-choice delectable menu."

"Check!" Gustavo said, holding up two plates with two different meals.

"Prom photographer Rocque and a nice romantic backdrop?" Kelly called, causing her and Dani to smile for the camera as Gustavo quickly changed his hats.

"Check."

"DJ GROCK and the prom theme song for the King and Queen spotlight dance?" Kelly said.

"The same theme song that is written on their souvenir glassware." Gustavo announced, tossing the blonde a glass cup.

"Nothing even matters." Dani read, nodding her head in approval. "Nice."

"This prom is literally going to rock." Gustavo declared, putting the hood of his onesie on his head as he started dancing.

"Please tell me you're not wearing that to prom." Dani begged, looking at the man from head to toe.

After her short visit to the studio, Dani found herself back at the Palm Woods.

"Dani!" A voice called from behind her as she opened the door to her apartment, causing her to turn around.

"Hey, Kendall." Dani said, smiling at the boy.

"Hey." Kendall smiled. "So everyone's kind of going crazy with the whole prom thing, huh?"

"I think it's sweet." Dani admitted, shrugging her shoulders with a light smile. "I mean, I've always loved the idea of going to prom. I mean the decorations, the dress, and having a good time with friends."

"And a date?" Kendall asked.

"Yeah, and a date." Dani agreed, letting out a light chuckle.

"So, have you found anyone to go with?" Kendall questioned, scratching the back of his neck. "I mean, since you're basically a lock-in for Prom Queen."

"I don't know about all that." Dani blushed, letting out a light chuckle. "But no, I haven't found anyone. And I'm pretty sure almost everyone is going with their boyfriends or already knows who they're going with."

"Yeah."

"What about you? Have you asked anyone yet?" Dani asked.

"Oh, no." Kendall shook his head, causing the girl to nod with a small smile.

It was silent between the duo for a moment as they looked to the ground before sharing a small smile.

"Well, since you're not going with anyone and I'm definitely not going with anyone, what if we go with each other?" Kendall suggested.

"You mean together?" Dani asked, smirking at the boy. "Are you asking me to be your date?"

"I mean, yeah, if you want to be technical about it." Kendall spoke, scratching the back of his neck, causing the girl to let out a light chuckle.

"Well, then yes. I'll be your date to prom." Dani said, smiling at the boy.

"Great." Kendall smiled at the girl with a nod before extending his hand out, causing the girl to finally notice a bouquet of roses. "For you."

"Why thank you." Dani said, carefully grabbing the roses with a smile.

"I guess I'll pick you up at 6."

"I'll see then." Dani smiled, letting out a chuckle and stepping into her apartment. "Bye Kendall."

"Bye." Kendall spoke softly, sending a small wave before the girl closed the door.

Little did the pair know, on either side of the door, both teens held a giant grin on their faces.

It was finally the night of prom, and Dani couldn't be more excited.

She was standing in the full-length mirror as she looked at herself in her prom dress; she never felt so pretty.

The sound of the knock on her door caused her to run her hand down her dress once more before she made her way to the door.

Slowly opening the door, she was met face-to-face with Kendall, dressed in a nice black tux with a gray undershirt.

"Wow." Kendall gasped, causing the girl to smile lightly. "You look amazing."

"Thank you." Dani blushed, looking down at her dress, before looking at the boy with a smile. "You clean up quite nicely."

"Why thank you." Kendall smiled, causing the girl to chuckle. "For you."

The girl held out her arm, causing the boy to carefully slide the corsage on the girl's wrist before Dani clipped the boutonniere onto his coat before she placed a hand on his chest.

"Shall we?" Kendall asked, holding his arm out with a smile.

"We shall."

...

By the time the duo made it to Prom, it was in full swing.

You had the music filling the room, with teens sitting around at the beautifully decorated tables.

Some stood around the ballet box as they put in their votes for Prom King and Queen.

Dani couldn't help but look around the room in awe, seeing it nicely decorated with beautiful light decor, a disco ball in the middle of the room, stars, and the nicely set tables.

"So, who are you voting for?" Dani asked, glancing up at the boy.

"Me and you, of course." Kendall said, causing the girl to raise her eyebrow.

"You're voting for yourself?" Dani questioned. "Isn't that kind of rude?"

"No. James is rude." Kendall replied, causing Dani to nod her head.

"Well, I'm going to vote for Camille and her date." Dani declared, going to put the ballet in the box only to have the card snatched from her hand.

"No, you're not. 'Cause you don't like them." Logan snaooed, quickly ripping up the card. "You like James and superstar Aubrey Stewart."

"Aubrey Stewart? Like from The Vampire Stories Chronicle Saga Trilogy?" Dani questioned, causing the Mitchell boy to nod his head.

"Well, we were going to vote for James and Aubrey, but they're not together." Guitar Dude said, approaching the trio with his guitar at his hip.

"Yeah, well, I'm working on it!" Logan exclaimed, running away.

"Well, it is." Dani said, letting out a chuckle before quickly filling out another ballot before placing it in the ballot box.

The pair made their way towards the picture booth, but there was no Gustavo or Kelly in sight.

"Uh," Kendall trailed off, causing the pair to look around before Gustavo and Kelly came rushing behind the camera.

"Smile!" Gustavo exclaimed, causing the pair to quickly pose for a picture. The Jennings girl placed her hand on the boy's chest as he carefully placed his hand on her back as they smiled big for the camera.

"Jennings, you're up!" Gustavo ordered, causing Kelly to quickly grab the girl's arm, dragging her onto the stage along with them.

"All right, all right! DJ G. Rock is telling all you prommers to grab someone special and make your way to the dance floor!" Gustavo spoke into the mic, causing most of the couples to make their way to the middle of the dance floor. "Give it up for Dani Jennings!"

Dani made her way to the microphone stand in the middle of the stage, causing everyone to clap and the girl to smile before she let the music take over.

Everyone cheered and applauded for the Jennings girl once the music faded, causing her cheeks to grow red. She quickly waved to her peers as she made her way off the stage.

"Amazing as always." Kendall complimented, handing the girl a drink once she finally approached him.

"Thank you." Dani said, causing the duo to clink their glasses, taking a sip as they watched James run past them, followed by three large security guards, followed by Carlos running in the opposite direction, being chased by all three Jennifers.

"Wanna dance?"

"I would love to." Dani agreed, grabbing the boy's hand with a smile before he led them to the dance floor.

Kendall gave the girl a quick spin, causing her to chuckle before he pulled her in close as they swayed to the music, enjoying the presence of one another.

"Have I told you how amazing you look tonight?" Kendall spoke, causing the girl to lift her head from his chest as she looked up at him with a small smile.

"Mm, maybe once or twice." Dani said, causing the boy to smile.

After a few more dances, the pair found themselves sitting at an empty table.

"So, how's your night going so far?" Kendall questioned.

"Better than I could ever imagine," Dani admitted.

"Meat or fish?" Gustavo asked, racing up to the table before just dropping both plates. "Who cares."

"Go, go, go!" Kelly exclaimed, pushing the man as they ran away, causing the pair to chuckle.

Dani looked at the Knight boy who was looking down at his plate, causing her to bite her lip before she decided to just go for it.

"Hey, can I tell you something?" Dani said, causing the boy to quickly look up. "I honestly don't know how to say this... I-"

"Hey, guys." Logan interrupted, racing up to the table as he let out a nervous laugh. "I need to steal Dani for a bit."

"We're kind of in the middle of something." Dani explained through her gritted teeth.

"Yeah, well, it'll only take a minute." Logan said, quickly pulling the girl up from her chair as he pulled her with him.

"Logan!"

The boy didn't say a word as he dragged her across the room towards the bathroom before quickly pushing her in.

"Now will you tell me why you pulled me away from my date and pushed me into the men's bathroom?" Dani exclaimed.

James' head quickly popped up above one of the stalls, causing the girl to raise her eyebrow.

"James here made Aubrey Stewart cry, and now her three giant bodyguards are blocking all of the exits!" Logan announced in a panic.

"I still don't see how this involves me." Dani said, crossing her arms and looking up at Diamond boy. "You're the one who decided to come with an antisocial, overly emotional superstar just so you could be Prom King!"

"Prom King? Who cares about Prom King? I just want to get out of here alive!" James exclaimed.

"Well, good luck figuring that out because they have every exit covered." Logan explained.

"You two are the smart ones." James said, causing the duo to share a look. "Is the pretty one supposed to figure this stuff out or the smart ones, huh?!"

"Fine!" Dani groaned, grabbing Logan's arm before pulling him out of the bathroom.

The pair looked around the room before their eyes landed on Camille.

"Hi! You mind if we cut in?" Logan asked as the duo leaned in on either side of Camille.

"We're not dancing."

"Even better." Dani said, causing her and Logan to quickly pull the girl from her seat before leading her to a corner.

"Logan! Dani! What is going on?" Camille questioned, causing the duo to share a look before looking back at the Roberts girl.

"James is trapped in the bathroom because he's an idiot, and now three huge bodyguards are after him, and we really need your help." Dani quickly explained.

"Why are there bodyguards after James?" Camille asked.

"Yeah, because he's an idiot." Dani replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"That may be true, but, uh, you might hate me after this. But I didn't want you and Steve to win Prom King and Queen, and I know we're off again, but when we're on again, I can't have you pre-pre-engaged with some guy. And I'm sorry, but you can hit me now." Logan rambled out.

"Darn, you cute." Camille smiled, quickly grabbing the boy's hand and pulling him towards the bathroom as Dani stayed closely behind.

"Are you nuts?!" James exclaimed from inside the stall.

"Well, you asked us to figure out a plan, and we did." Logan said.

The door to James' stall swung open, revealing the boy in Camille's maroon-colored dress, causing Dani to let out a snicker.

"I don't like this plan!"

"Yeah, well, I'm not that crazy about it either." Camille said, coming out in James' oversized tuxedo.

"Well, I think you look just beautiful." Dani teased, snapping a quick picture of James, causing him to glare at her.

"Well, neither am I. I mean, I still have to sneak you out past Aubrey's three huge bodyguards." Logan said. "Now let's go, milady."

James quickly fixed his dress before he stumbled his way towards Logan, interlocking their arms before they left the bathroom, causing Dani and Camille to share a laugh.

"Shall we?" Camille asked, holding her arm out to the Jennings girl.

"We shall." Dani said, playing along as she locked her arm before the duo made their way out of the bathroom.

"Well, I should go explain this to Steve." Camille said, gesturing toward the oversized tux.

"Yeah, and Kendall is probably wondering where I disappeared to." Dani said, noticing the blonde still sitting at the same table as he looked around the room.

"You'll have to tell me everything." Camille smiled at the girl. "Tomorrow, your place?"

"Tomorrow." Dani agreed, nodding her head and sending the girl one last smile before the pair separated.

As Dani made her way back towards the table, Kendall quickly spotted her, causing her to send him a small smile.

"Everything okay?" Kendall asked as the girl slid back into her seat.

"Yeah, our friends are idiots." Dani said, causing the boy to raise his eyebrow. "I'll tell you later."

"Okay, it's almost time to announce the Prom King and Queen, but first, it's time to slow things down." Gustavo spoke from the stage. "Grab that special someone."

"Not too tight." Kelly added.

"And slow dance."

The sound of Count On You filled the room, causing a small smile to form on the Jennings girls lips as she watched the couples gather back on the dance floor.

"I'm glad we came together." Kendall confessed, causing the girl to nod. "Because we're at the prom, you're going to be my queen, and I can beat James."

That caused Dani to let out a light chuckle.

"Don't worry, I think James is the least of your worries." Dani said, smiling at the boy.

The Knight boy held his hand out, causing Dani to softly grab it as the pair stood up.

"Let's dance." Kendall spoke, leading the girl once again to the dance floor.

The pair silently danced to the song as they just enjoyed each other's company.

"Kendall, I have to tell you something." Dani said, causing the boy to look down at her. "I-"

"Okay, it's time to announce the Prom King and Queen." Gustavo's voice rang through the room, cutting the blonde girl off and causing everyone to make their way towards the stage.

As the pair stood in the mix of teens, Dani gave Kendall a glance before she turned her attention to the stage.

"Longest couple vote, Camille and Steve," Kelly said to Gustavo as she covered the mic so no one else could hear.

Gustavo leaned in towards the mic but quickly stopped.

"We're gonna pass!"

Gustavo and Kelly looked over, seeing Steve and Camille off the side of the DJ stand, Camille in an oversized white tux.

"To avoid any confusion." Steve explained, pointing between the pair.

"Who came in second?" Gustavo asked, looking over to Kelly.

"The underdog vote, Carlos and Jennifer." Kelly said.

As Gustavo went to announce, he was once again cut off, but this time by a screaming Carlos, who ran across the dance floor as all three Jennifers attacked him.

"Kendall and Dani, came in third!" Kelly excitedly whispered.

Causing the record producer to scan the crowd to find the duo standing side by side with no problems.

"The Prom King and Queen is..." Gustavo said as he shined the spotlight into the crowd. The mess of people separated, revealing Dani and Kendall. "Kendall and Dani!"

Stunned by the turn of events, Dani looked at the boy beside her, causing them to share a grin before they made their way towards the stage.

The couple was crowned and sashed before they made their way hand in hand to the middle of the floor for the King and Queen dance.

The crowd applauded them as Gustavo played Nothing Even Matters as the pair made their way to the spotlight.

"My Queen." Kendall said, holding his hand out to the girl, causing her to smile before grabbing it as he pulled her in. "So how's your prom going now?"

"It's been the best night ever."

...

Later that night, Dani found herself sitting alone on the edge of the Palm Woods pool as she had her feet dangling in.

Looking at her reflection in the water, she noticed a figure make their way towards her.

"Hey." The boy spoke, taking a seat beside the girl.

"Hi," Dani said, sending the boy a small smile before she turned her attention back to the water as she kicked little waves.

The pair sat in a comfortable silence as they sat shoulder to shoulder.

"I like you, Kendall." Dani spoke, causing them both to look at each other. "That's what I've been trying to tell you all night. And I don't want this to make things weird between us, but I couldn't go another day without telling you how I felt either. I really like you, and I've liked you for a while now, but then there was your relationship with Jo, and you guys were so happy, and I couldn't come between that. Then Jo left, and you were so sad, and then you asked me to prom, and so I thought there was some sort of possibility that you liked me too. I don't know."

There was silence between the pair, causing the girl's heart to drop.

As she went to stand from her spot, the boy grabbed her hand, causing her to stop as she looked at him.

"I like you too."...
