Hollywood Fever.

After living in Hollywood for a few months people usually change into the rest of the population ; Dani has personally witnessed it first hand but has never experienced herself.

Dani had made a promise to herself when she first moved to Hollywood that she would stay true to herself and stay focused on her job and her music until she got the point where she felt like she had officially made it in life and she wasn't going to let anyone or anything get in the way of her fulfilling her wishes.

Dani was sitting in the recording booth with Gustavo and Kelly as they recorded the guys singing the new track and let's just say an appearance was changed and we're not talking clothing wise.

James' skin was completely orange.

You could tell that the other guys were bothered by the look too because none of them could focus on singing as they watched their orange friend.

"Cut! Cut!" Gustavo yelled into the microphone as Dani cut the music off, causing the guys to stop singing. "Will somebody please tell me why James is orange?!"

"Actually, I'm man-gerine," James corrected, pulling out two cans of body spray as he sprayed it into the air before stepping into it.

"Actually, you look ridiculous," Dani added into the microphone, sending the boy a sarcastic smile.

"Boys, can I see you out here for just a quick minute?" Gustavo said into the mic, causing the boys to put down their headphones as James was the first to exit the booth.

"Something wrong, boss?" James asked as they lined up in front of the man with Kelly and Dani on either side.

"James, in this business, image is everything, and the image I'm going for is not three normal boys and a tangerine freak!" Gustavo explained, yelling the last three words.

"So what you're saying is that the other three guys are too pale?" James asked, holding up his spray cans turning towards them. "I can fix it."

"No!" All the other boys shouted, pushing the cans down on their friend's hands.

"Or an even better suggestion, you stop being orange and go back to being a normal boy" Dani says sarcastically.

"You know what, I really don't appreciate your sarcasm Dani," James said, causing the girl to roll her eyes.

"We think he might have Hollywood Fever," Kendall explained, causing Kelly to gasp as she placed her hand over her mouth.

"You, don't panic," Gustavo said, pointing at Kelly causing her to move her hand before he pointed at James. "You, stop being orange!"

Gustavo ran at James as he attempted to take the cans from the orange boy as spray was flying everywhere.

"Ha!" Gustavo exclaimed, snatching the cans from James' hands as his white jacket and shirt was covered in orange.

"Ha-ha!" James said, quickly pulling out two more cans from his pockets, running out of the studio.

"Well, that didn't work." Dani said, shaking her head as she smiled at her boss.

"Let's try this!" Gustavo said, throwing the cans to the ground as approached the remaining three boys. "Fix your friend, or I will fire him and replace him with someone that is not orange!"

That caused the boys to quickly run out of the room on the hunt to find James as Gustavo turned to Dani as he gave her a knowing look.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm going, I'm going." Dani said, walking out of the room in the same direction the boys went; The Palm Woods.

Dani sat at the counter in the crib of 2J as she watched the boys look in obvious places that James wouldn't hide.
"He's not in the bathroom." Kendall said, throwing his arms up as he made his way from the bathroom.

"He's not in the swirly slide." Carlos said, coming down said slide upside down.

"But look, I found an empty bottle of man-gerine action tan." Logan said, making his way from the bedrooms.

"Let me see that," Dani said, making her way next to the boy, grabbing the bottle as she looked at it. "According to the label, this stuff dissolves with water."

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Carlos gasped, pointing at the other three, causing Logan and Kendall to nod before the three disappeared into the back rooms.

Before Dani knew it she was standing beside Carlos with sunglasses, a bandanna around her head, gloves, backpack with water, and a giant water gun in hands.

"I was thinking. we get snow cones to beat the heat, but this works too," Carlos admits.

"And it should break the fever quite nicely," Logan added.

"Is it weird that I actually really like this?" Dani asked, causing the boys to all shake their heads. "So what's the plan?"

"Carlito's, you scope the pool for Orange James. Logan-ator you hit Palm Woods park. I'll stake out the lobby, while Danisaurs stays here in case he comes back." Kendall said, causing everyone to nod. "Move out!"

As the boys quickly made their way out of the apartment, Dani took the chair at the table closest to the door, flipping it to face the door as she sat in it with the gun in hand as she watched the door.

Not even 10 minutes later, Kendall sent the girl an urgent message to come to the lobby, causing the girl to quickly make her way to the elevator and to the lobby.

As she stepped out of the elevator she couldn't believe her eyes; Carlos was dressed in a suit coat with a scarf, fedora and glasses, Logan was dressed like a hippie as he banged on bongos and let's not forget orange James.

"You have got to be kidding me," Dani said, beside Kendall, watching the group in front of them in pure shock, before the sound of Kendall's phone ringing snapped them from their trance.

"It's Gustavo!" Kendall exclaimed, looking over at the girl with wide eyes. "What do I do?!"

"Don't answer!" Dani yelled, causing the boy to look at her before accepting the call, causing Dani to throw her hands up before putting her ear right beside Kendall's.

"Kendall, I trust you've solved our little problem." Gustavo's voice rang through the phone, causing Dani and Kendall to quickly look at each other before looking back to the group in front of them. "Now get back to the studio, we've got work to do."

"Oh. you have no idea." Kendall responds.

The boys were once again in the recording booth singing Stuck, as Logan played his bongos and The Jennifer's stood behind Carlos dancing as Carlos took over the mic, singing the loudest.

"Kendall, can I talk to you for a minute?" Gustavo said, cutting the music off, causing Kendall to take off his headphones. "Just a quick minute."

Gustavo then quickly stood up, followed by Dani as Kendall and Dani followed behind Gustavo bickering back and forth.

"You were told to fix them, Kendork!" Dani whisper-yelled at the boy.

"So were you!" Kendall whispered and yelled back, causing them to go back and forth until they stopped in Gustavo's office as Dani closed the door behind them.

"What is going on?!" Gustavo yelled at the two, causing them to stop arguing and looked at Gustavo.

"We do know!" Dani and Kendall both yelled, throwing their arms up.

"Carlos, Dani, Logan and I were trying to wash off orange James, and then things just kind of snowballed." Kendall explained, shrugging his shoulders.

"Well, you are kind of the leader of this band, so kind of fix it!" Gustavo exclaimed, raising his voice as he said more words, causing Dani to smirk Kendall. "You to Jennings!", causing the girl to let out a huff.

The door was soon busted open as Kelly came stumbling in, followed by Carlos and The Jennifer's and Logan beating on his bongos.

"Yo, Gustav, I want a solo on the next album we record, " Carlos says, pushing Kendall to the side.

"And his new name is Jennifer." Both Jennifer's said, behind him, causing Dani to chuckle.

"Okay, maybe not that," Carlos said, pointing at the two behind him as he pulled out a band poster. "But the band's new name is Carlos and the rush."

"Dan, I need you to write a song... so chop, chop." Carlos said as The Jennifer's snapped.

"Excuse me?" Dani said, looking at the sweet boy she once knew in disbelief before snatching the poster from his hands as she threw it. "Well, guess what, you and your princess posse can go write your own song and take this-"

"Everyone chill it out and hop aboard the Logan train-" Logan said, drowning out Dani's voice with his bongos, jumping down from his spot behind Kendall, making his way in front of Gustavo and Dani. "Whoo-whoo - to Mellow-ville. Chill."

"Oh, give me a break," Dani said, slapping the bongs out of the boys hands, bumping into the boys shoulders as she made her way past the boy, bumping shoulders with Carlos too, before throwing the door open and storming out of the room past an orange James.

"Hey, Dani!" James exclaimed, smiling at the girl as she stormed past him as he made his way towards the office she just stormed from as she completely disregarded the boy.

Dani's ears were so filled with screams, causing her to turn around to make her way back to the office but felt herself being lifted off the ground as the person ran and she didn't get put down until they were in a supply closet as she was face to face with Kendall, Kelly and Gustavo as he slams the door behind him.

They've got the fever, and it's bad!" Kelly exclaimed, clearly stressed out.

"And this heat is only making their symptoms worse," Gustavo says, agreeing with Kelly.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait." Kendall says, holding his arms out. "You guys know about Hollywood Fever?"

"I'm pretty sure everyone in Hollywood knows about Hollywood Fever," Dani explains, pointing at Gustavo. "It's even broken up nearly every one of Gustavo's bands."

"It starts with tanning or bongos. Before you know it, they quit to start movie careers or they move to Canada to live among the moose." Gustavo explained. "Boy-quake."

"We have got to snap them out of this before it is permanent." Kelly explains.

"We must divide and conquer." Gustavo declared. "Kendall and Dani, you take bongo boy and drum some sense into him. Kelly find Carlos and remind him that he's not a Jennifer! And I am getting a shrink for James." Gustavo explains, pulling out his phone.

"Move out!" Kendall explained, before everyone rushed out of the room.

Dani was squatting behind a tree with Kendall and Tyler wearing tree house as they watched hippie Logan play his bongos.

"Tyler, all you have to do is tap into the old Logan's love of Math." Kendall explains to the red headed boy. "Then he trades in his bongo rhythms for logarithms."

"Then hopefully no more Hollywood Fever," Dani explains from the other side of the boy, taking the tree hate from the boy's head as he pulls out apples before heading to bongo boy.

"Hey, what's the haps, little dude?" Logan asked as Tyler reached him, causing the two behind the tree to look at each other as Kendall nodded.

"Logan, I'm confused. If I had five apples and I gave two to my friend Cindy, how many would I have left?" Tyler asked, holding out the three apples in his hands.

"It doesn't matter, dude." Logan says, nonchalantly, causing the smiles on both Kendall and Dani's faces to drop. "You still have some apples, right? And Cindy, she has some apples too."

"You know, he's got a point." Kendall says, causing Dani to give him a look.

"And what's that? The Hollywood Fever has officially infiltrated his brain?" Dani questioned.

"Dang it!" Kendall exclaimed, standing up from his squatting place as Tyler shrugged, biting into one of the apples as Logan played the bongs with his feet. "Well I'm going to head back to the studio to see how things are going with Kelly and Gustavo, you coming?"

"No you go ahead, I'll catch up." Dani explained, sending her friend a smile before he nodded as he quickly left the park as she looked back at Logan.

"Hey, Logan." Dani said, approaching the boy taking off the tree hat.

"Dani!" Logan exclaimed in his regular voice, causing the girl to smile. "I mean what's the haps?"

"Can I sit?" Dani asked, gesturing to the blanket that the boy was sitting on, causing the boy to move over slightly as she slid off her sandals and sat crisscrossed in front of him. "Thanks."

"So what's up?" Logan asked.

"I just wanted to apologize for how I was acting earlier at the studio, I was just so angry with Carlos and how he's acting, you know being a Jennifer and I took it out on you and that was unfair of me and I'm sorry," Dani explained. "You know for slapping your bongos onto the ground and purposefully bumping into you."

"No worries dude." Logan said, nonchalantly, shaking his head as if it didn't bother him. "Things just happen."

"Who even are you?" Dani asked, shocked, shaking her head. "Because the Logan I know, wouldn't turn down helping others with math problems when they are stuck, he would always have a pencil to help write out an equation so they'd understand it better, he also wouldn't be sitting here acting like nothing is wrong in the world, he would be overthinking everything. He would also be helping his friends find his other friends so they can stop their Hollywood Fever."

"Hey man, you can rush around trying to find someone that doesn't want to be found, or you can find Dani." Logan said as banged on the bongos, causing the words to come rushing to Dani as if she's heard someone say it to her before.

"You've been talking to Guitar Dude, haven't you?" Dani asked, causing the boy to stop beating on his bongos.

"Yeah, dude." Logan said, nodding, causing Dani to let out a sigh.

"Logan, this isn't you," Dani said, shaking her head. "The Logan , I know, isn't a wannabe hippie who just plays the bongos all day in the park. But he is extremely smart and isn't afraid to wear a sweater vest. He also always wanted to be a doctor, but decided to come out to LA with his three best buds to be in a band just to help one of his friends' dreams come true. "

The girl was cut off as her phone began ringing.

"Helllo," Dani said, answering the phone, seeing that it was Gustavo calling.

"Jennings, I need you at the studio now," Gustavo's voice rang through Dani's phone and into her ear.

"Okay, I'm on my way," Dani said before hanging up her phone, looking back at the boy in front of her. "I got to run but let me know if you see my best friend Logan around."

Before the boy had a chance to respond the girl placed the glasses in his hand before standing up and walking out of the Palm Woods Park.

"Okay, Hollywood Fever progress check." Gustavo said, turning around in his chair, and from his hat down, he was colored orange. "We have made no progress."

"How come all of your friends got Hollywood fever and you didn't?" Kelly asked the boy beside her before looking past him to the Jennings girl. "And as long as you've been in LA, I have never once seen you give into Hollywood fever."

"That's because we have normal brains." Dani answered.

"All of their friends have the brains of cricket." Gustavo corrected the girl.

"I guess if you want to put it that way." Dani mumbled, rolling her eyes.

"New Plan." Gustavo announced, snatching his glasses off. "Kendall, you are going solo."

Kendall scoffed, standing up from his seat. "No way. Look, they may just be a singing group to you, but they're my best friends." Dani coughs. "Our best friends. Now I'm going to go do what I always do when you, this town, and this heat get to me. I'm hitting the rink to figure things out."

"That's it! That's why we never got Hollywood fever!" Dani exclaimed, standing up from her seat. "Kendall, why do you go to the rink?"

"The ice and the cold help me clear my head and remind me where I came from." Kendall said, realization hitting him. "The ice and the cold remind me of where I came from."

"Why are you looking at each other and saying things twice?" Gustavo asked, confused.

"Don't you see, I never got Hollywood fever because I never lost touch with my roots."

"And maybe Hollywood fever is just a fancy term for homesickness." Kelly explained, standing up beside Kendall.

"Get the dogs to the ice rink now!"

"I couldn't get Carlos to try a slingshot shopping cart. You want me to get him to an ice rink?" Kelly asked.

Gustavo let out a yell.

"Wait, what if we bring the ice to them?" Dani suggested, looking around at the group.

....

"Katie, I need 6,000 pounds of shaved ice right away." Kendall begged as he and Dani pushed their way to the front of the line for Katie's snow cone business.

"Oo, snow cones."

"Sorry, big brother, I'd have to leave my stand, and Bitters will destroy it." Katie explained.

"Katie, we love you and have no time to explain, but it is really important." Dani pleaded, sticking out the bottom lip, causing the little girl to turn to Buddha Bob.

"Buddha Bob, can the Z-5000 shave 6,000 pounds of ice?" Katie asked.

"No," Buddha Bob answered, causing the smile on Dani and Kendall's faces to fall. "But the Z-10,000 can."

"Bitters!" Katie screamed, causing the man to pop up out of the plant behind her. "300 bucks, and the stand is yours."

"Deal!"

"Let's roll!" Dani exclaimed to the two siblings as they quickly left the pool.

Dani waited in the lobby for Carlos, while Kendall was upstairs trying to get James out of the apartment.

She quickly spotted the Garcia boy walking into the lobby in slow motion, with the two Jennifer's on either side of him.

She chucked two snowballs in his direction.

"This is silk!" Carlos exclaimed, referring to his scarf, causing Dani to roll her eyes before she threw another one at the boy.

"Nice." Kendall grinned, running up behind the girl as Carlos yelled, causing Kendall to push the girl towards the doors to the pool. "Run!"

The sound of James and Carlos' screams filled Dani's ears as they made their way out of the door.

As Dani made her way past the pool, she noticed Logan, causing her to chuck snowballs in his direction before Kendall threw one at him, causing the duo to high-five as they laughed, leading them to Palm Woods Park, directly to the snow.

Dani smiled as she watched the boys stop as they took in the snow as smiles grew on all of their faces, causing Dani and Kendall to fist-bump.

"Fire at will!" Gustavo exclaimed, standing up from behind a pile of snow with snowballs in hand, causing everyone to pop out as Dani grabbed snowballs, chucking them at the boys.

Dani watched as Carlos switched the fedora for his helmet, James throwing away his cans as his fell forward into the snow, rubbing all of the orange into the snow, and Logan threw his bongos behind him, causing the girl to chuckle, throwing snowballs at Logan as he began throwing them back at her.

Dani made her way to Gustavo and Kelly as Kendall made his way over to James, Carlos, and Logan.

"Goodbye heat wave, and goodbye Hollywood fever." Gustavo said this before the four boys began chucking snowballs in the direction of the trio.

Dani felt a snowball hit her square in the forehead as she saw a big smile grow on Carlos' face, causing the girl to pick up two from the ground as she began chasing the boy as he let out a scream as the girl laughed.
