movie; act one
Big Time Rush was going on a world tour.
After weeks of rehearsals and planning and anticipation and a ten hour flight, everything was suddenly happening rapidly.
Emily had never been on a plane before. And she was beyond excited, that is until she figured out she'd been stuck inside one for hours on end. At 2:00 that afternoon, Emily had giddily sat between Kendall and Logan on the plane, asking them questions about flying and, for Logan, the science behind it.
Logan quickly had Kendall and Emily switch seats. It didn't bother her. She was more than happy to gaze out the window.
In her mind, they were nearing 1:00 in the morning. Gustavo purposefully had each of them taking sleeping pills to sleep for a majority of the flight since they would arrive at 9:00 AM in London.
"We're never getting off this thing," the girl mumbled, accepting her fate.
"We're landing," Logan reminded her as Kendall chuckled.
"What? You don't like the plane anymore?" He laughed.
The girl sarcastically mimicked him, "I would if it flew a bit faste-"
"Ah!"
Emily jumped in her seat at the shriek behind her. Kendall and Logan shared a knowing look. The three nodded, unbuckling to turn around and peek over at James and Carlos behind them.
"Secret agent dream again?" James asked as the moody flight attendant stalked off after waking Carlos from his deep sleep.
"Oh, it is so real," the boy gasped, hugging his body tightly. Emily propped her elbows on the top of the seat, staring at him dumbfounded.
Carlos had recently developed a reoccurring dream of being spies. The boys were all secret agents who sang the Beatles and Emily was the princess who they always had to rescue from an evil villain who wanted to take over the world.
"A castle, a princess," Logan listed, nodding to Emily who raised her hand at her characters mention, "and us stopping an evil guy from ruling the world sounds real to you?"
Emily looked over Kendall to Logan, hitting his arm, "Don't forget about the Beatles."
Carlos nodded intensely at Emily as his friends shamefully sighed.
"Let me tell you about my dream," Kendall hummed. "We all move to L.A., somehow become a pop band, we go on a world tour where our first stop is in London."
The bell rang over the intercom, Carlos jumping, as the captain spoke, "Okay, passengers, we are starting our descent, and in about 20 minutes we'll be landing in London."
"And it came true," Kendall and Logan exclaimed, as the guys crossed hands, wiggling their fingers together with Carlos participating but his mind far too preoccupied on making sure no one suspicious was on the plane.
Emily laughed to herself, turning to fall back into her seat again.

Kendall, James, and Logan blindly walked from the gate through the airport as all their eyes were glued to a map Kendall held up. Carlos, on the other hand, had Emily's amused attention as he furious turned over his shoulder every second, scouting out the place.
"Alright, first up, we're going to the giant ferris wheel," Kendall told them.
"Oh, I want to go to Parliament," Logan chimed.
"I want to meet a hot girl with one of those cool accents," James told his friends, striking a chord with Emily, briefing looking away from Carlos.
"You are not going anywhere," Gustavo snapped, ripping the map from the guys. Him, Kelly, Katie, and Mrs. Knight stopped in front of them. "Because tonight is our first stop on our world tour, and if you do nothing then nothing can go wrong."
"It's our official world tour strategy," Kelly smirked, holding up the binder Emily pieced together. The girl nodded at the boys.
"We hired outside consultants and everything," she mentioned.
"But we're sold out!" Kendall reminded them, "How much trouble could we get into in one day?"
Emily frowned as Carlos, wearing dark sunglasses and holding up finger guns, popped up behind Gustavo's shoulder, "A whole world of trouble," he whispered. She turned to her side, verifying he had left and wondered when he ran off.
"Okay, this is what I am talking about," Gustavo pointed to the boy behind him.
Flipping through the first few pages, "Okay, so don't touch anything, don't look at anyone, and go straight to baggage claim," Kelly told them, walking off.
Carlos remained in front of his friends, hand gun still at the ready. "Can you even see in those things?" Kendall asked.
"They're a little dark," he admitted, "but, hey, if your tour dream can come true then why can't my spy dream?" Carlos retorted, letting his glasses dip down to reveal his eyes.
"Well, one, Kendall's dream is aspirational and your's is stupid," Logan said, Emily nudging him from the side, choking back a laugh.
"And for two, we're not spies," James reminded him.
"Three: I'm not a princess," Emily agreed.
"And the Beatles are the greatest band in the world, and we are not them," Kendall shrugged.
Carlos scoffed, "Hey, dreams do come true. All I'm saying is, you guys should watch your backs."
Emily stumbled to the side as Logan forcefully shoved against her. She turned, seeing him, Kendall, and James on the ground, looking up as a man ran through them. Carlos gasped, knowingly.
"See!"
"I thought British people were suppose to be nice," Kendall winced, rubbing his neck in pain.
"Yeah, that was the rumor," Logan nodded.
Emily gasped, jumping back as three officers plowed through them again, trampling over the guys, Carlos watching them run off chasing the first man in awe.
"Well, they are not!" James snapped, tugging his coat back onto his shoulders.
"Okay, okay, if y'all break before the concert, Gustavo will kill me," she rushed out, tugging them to go towards baggage claim, Carlos leading the way to make sure they were safe as Emily stayed in the back, keeping her eyes on them. "Escalator, Carlos!" She shouted from the back as Carlos began wandering off towards security.
The boy jumped, turning the opposite direction as Logan, massaging his joints gave the girl an assuring nod, stepping beside Carlos to keep him in line.
"Did you guys just see that?" Carlos gasped, suddenly stopping as Emily stepped off the moving stairs, Kendall and James blocking her path. "The evil bald villain just took somebody away!"
"Did you see one too many spy movies on the plane?" Logan remarked.
"Yes," James snapped, giving Carlos a pointed nod.
Emily snapped her fingers repeatedly, "Hey, focus!"
"Big Time Rush is on a world tour, not in a spy movie," Kendall reminded them. Emily smiled, nodding to him.
"That's why you're my favorite."
A chorus of protests and offended gasps came from the three other guys. Emily shrugged, jokingly as she turned to the baggage claim station, looking for her bag.

The Queen's Hotel was packed outside with screaming fans. Security provided a loose barrier. The guys beamed at their fans, waving to them.
"See, Gustavo? One whole hour in London-" Kendall sassed.
"And no trouble," the three chimed.
"Just sign some autographs, move briskly into the lobby and stay out of trouble!" The man said. Emily slid forward, walking in front of the guys to take shelter in the peaceful lobby and not get caught in the crowd outside.
Gustavo started snapping his fingers at the guys, signaling time was up and they needed to leave.
"Well, I didn't meet my dream girl with dreamy accent," James sighed, "but I see you brought your nightmare backpack." He stared at the pink and orange checkered backpack hanging off Kendall.
"I told you it was sent to me by a fan and it's actually very special to me," Kendall said, showing it off. Emily gave him a high five.
"It's actually very awful to us," Logan told him.
"It's always been my dream to stay at the Queen's Hotel in London," Mrs. Knight gushed, taking in the building she stood in.
Carlos gasped, tightly gripping Logan, "That's two dreams that have come true in London. Mine's next."
Emily sighed, sharing an eye roll with James. Logan shrugged him off.
"For the last time," he said, "your dream is a manifestation of your fears. You're afraid the world tour might fail so you dreamt of saving the world."
"And the evil bald villain represents Gustavo," Emily cheekily said, the guys silently laughing as the man in question frowned at them.
"Here is my dream:" he snapped, taking the yellow tinted sunglasses off, "Don't move!"
Emily frowned, holding up a finger, "Actually, if I remember correctly, which I do, section 2, subsection C on page 22 states the guys can "linger in the lobby" while you check in."
The guys smirked at the girl. "Well, in that case-" Katie smiled.
"Move out!" They chimed, going their separate ways. Emily turned, walking to a side desk by the long winding staircase with Kendall.
"I like your backpack," she told him.
He smiled, "I do too."
"Found our cart," the two turned from a pamphlet Kendall folded open to see James behind them, pushing the luggage cart over. "In case you want to put -I don't know- your backpack on it so no one sees you wearing a backpack like that."
Emily sighed, staring at James, taking notice of Katie joining the conversation. Not taking his eyes off James, "Katie," Kendall called.
The girl stomped her foot down on James', the foot doubling over, holding it in pain, crying, as Emily delightfully gasped.
Katie smiled, walking off as Kendall smirked, climbing the stairs after Logan. James turned to Emily.
"How can you let him wear that?"
She sighed, amused, "James, a fan sent it," she reminded him. "And he's not hurting anyone."
James gaped, furiously shaking his foot, "Explain this!" Emily stiffed a laugh, shaking her head.
"Good luck finding your dream girl with that attitude," she remarked, passing him. The boy turned.
"So, you're okay with that?"
Emily froze, a lump forming in her throat as she turned, a careless shrug, "We're not together," she said, not having the stomach to blatantly lie but also not the heart to admit it.
"Dogs!"
Emily sighed as James grumbled, the two regrouping with the others in the center of the lobby at Gustavo's call. Emily squinted her eyes in confusion as Carlos backed up into Logan, hands out. He turned, realizing where he was.
"Okay, guys, I have secured the lobby, and we and the princess are all safe," he assured, talking to an empty space. Logan sighed, hands on his shoulders and turning him in the right direction. Carlos took off the sunglasses, seeing everyone. "For now," he whispered, convinced intimate danger was close by.
"Here are room cards- oh," Kelly cried, the handful of keys spilling from the envelope. Emily crouched down, picking up one for herself.
"Okay," Gustavo said. "Let's get to our suites."
"Did you say..." the boys gasped.
"Sweet!" They cried. As soon as Gustavo opened the double doors inside the room, the four piled in energetically, each claiming a bed and jumping on top.
"Don't jump on the beds!" The man yelled. The boys slowly stopped, frowning in disappointment as they hopped off.
"The world tour promoter is going to be stopping by to meet you and considering he paid for this room, don't trash it." Emily told them.
"Well, are we allowed to do anything while we're in England," Kendall retorted bitterly.
"All you're gonna do tonight is crush London, then conquer the rest of Europe, and then we will rule the world," Gustavo exclaimed.
"But, you can answer fan mail," Kelly said, reading the strategy book while Emily tossed a sack to Logan, "have one non-caffeinated beverage, and warm up your voices for the biggest sound check of your lives."
Gustavo and Kelly swung the doors shut, sighing as they walked Emily down to her room.
"Moore, you're officially promoted to the title of Dog Handler," Gustavo told her. Emily rolled her eyes to Kelly. "Your job is keeping them out of trouble because I do not trust them."
"I don't remember that in the strategy book," Emily recalled sarcastically, tossing her bag onto the queen sized bed in her room.
"It's an amendment!"
Kelly helplessly shrugged, shutting the door, leaving Emily to herself in her room. The girl let out a heavy breath, shrugging off her coat and slipping on a more-presentable top for meeting the promoter instead of the t-shirt she'd been wearing for 12 hours.
Exiting her room, strolling down to the guys' room, she tugged the band out of her hair, running her fingers through her scalp, loosening the curls when she heard screams from behind the door.
Concerned, Emily's hesitantly opened the door, peeking in to see nothing, with the exception of floating objects and the guys falling from the ceiling.
She gasped as they hit the ground hard. "Close it slower next time," James wheezed.
The boys cried in fear, running to their feet and hiding behind Emily who stared shocked at the silver device sitting in the center of the room.
"What is that?" Emily cried, Logan and Carlos each gripped her arms tightly in horror.
"Everybody calm down!" Kendall shouted, "Cause... I got nothing else," he stuttered.
A crash came from behind them, the doors busting opened. Emily jumped, turning, her stomach dropping and heart pounding when she saw the man walked in with a gun pointed at them.
They stumbled to the back of the room, holding their hands up. "Well, it seems I underestimated you boys," the man, in an accent said. "But don't ever underestimate British intelligence," he warned.
"I'm sorry, did you say British Intel-" Logan recalled. The man cut the boy off by shooting him in the leg with a dart. Emily gasped, unable to help Logan with the gun trained on her. Logan face planted, unconscious onto the bed as the four teens helplessly looked back at the man.
"So, I'll be taking this backpack now," he said, putting the silver thing into Kendall's backpack that was coated in a foam holding for the item. "And I highly recommend no one else try anything funny."
"We're actually very sad right now," James mumbled.
Emily screamed, covering her head as she fell to the side with Carlos. A pink and black figure swung into the room, crashing through the large window, glass raining down. "Now, now. You know you should never take things that don't belong to you," she snapped at the man, who had the gun aimed at her now.
The man fired twice as she ran at him, flipping over, dodging the bullets. She kicked him in the chest, flipping back as he collapsed into the wall. The girl had long auburn hair, wore dark sunglasses and dressed in a pink and black suit.
"Dibs," James whispered. Emily furrowed her eyebrows, looking at the boy, gaping. Her hands flew back up as the woman turned, holding the backpack, cocking the gun. "I'd love to stay and chat boys, but a lot of people are after my backpack."
"Cool."
"That's fine."
"No worries."
"I'm James."
She backed up to the door, it swinging open, throwing her into the wall as two men entered, wheeling a room service cart. She fell to the ground, the backpack landing in Carlos' possession.
"She's hurt."
"She has a gun," Emily reminded James as Kendall pulled his friend away from the intruders.
Two blond men in red suits looked around, "Okay, pretty boys," the shorter one said. "Just give us ze backpack, and no dangers come to you," he warned, seemingly Swedish.
"Never."
Emily turned furiously with the guys to Carlos who tightly hugged the backpack in defiance. "What?" Kendall asked.
The Swedes laughed before toppling over as the room service cart tripped them, the woman back on her feet.
"Run," Kendall said.
"Logan!" Emily cried, pointing to the unconscious boy. She grabbed one of his dead arms, while the guys each grabbed a limb, jumping out the window onto the fire escape with the backpack in hand.

The five made it to Chinatown when Logan woke up. He was then dressed in a traditional Chinese robe and rice hat, disguising himself while he looked through an electronic newsletter on the sidewalk. Carlos hid with the backpack in a trashcan, Kendall in a stack of boxes, James in a phone booth, and Emily behind a rack of clothing.
"Can't you search any faster?" Kendall hushed, swinging the box window open to snap at Logan, before tucking himself away, closing them again.
"Oh, I'm sorry if I'm a little slow because I got shot with a dart!" Logan cried, throwing the dart into a box flap.
Emily peeked her head out from the clothes, "What does it say about the floaty thing?"
The Floaty Thing, as they were calling it, was the silver device in the backpack everyone was after. She quickly learned the guys opened it right away, and began floating around the room.
"All I found is "Billionaire business man and space pioneer, Sir Atticus Moon, was rumored to be developing an anti-gravitational device, but denied the report saying the technology was an 'impossible dream.'"
Carlos popped up from the trash can, "Well, it's not. And we have it!"
"Search 'Hot girl in pink and black leather that is my dream girl,'" James told Logan, swinging the phone booth opened.
Kendall opened the box, turning to James, "You mean deadly girl with a pink and black gun?"
"Hey, there is good in her, I know."
"Shut up, James," Emily snapped in a hushed tone.
Logan nodded, "And you're supposed to be calling Gustavo and/or Kelly."
"Yeah, well our phones are back in the hotel room," James reminded him, holding up the phone inside, "What is this thing?"
"That's the guy in my dream," Carlos gasped.
Emily curiously stepped out, crowding herself in between Logan and Carlos' trash can. She saw the Atticus Moon guy on the screen. He was slightly older in a white suit and a prideful smirk.
"Atticus Moon? That's your dream guy?" Kendall exclaimed.
"Well, he was bald, and he was a totally different guy, but he was wearing white!" Carlos admitted. Emily sighed, exasperatedly as she huddled under Logan's hat for cover after giving up her hiding spot for nothing. "
"Does anyone want to know what my dream is?" Logan wondered. "It's to stay alive!" He cried, hitting the top of the trashcan, pushing Carlos back inside.
Carlos quickly emerged, "That's why we have to stop him, save the princess, and save the world."
Kendall, unamused, opened his box, "Or we call the police, tell them we have no idea what's going on, they don't shoot Logan, fix everything-"
"And we save the world tour!" Emily snapped at Carlos. "Done!" She chimed at Kendall.
"Done!"
"Done."
Logan and Emily sighed, turning to the silent trashcan. Kendall opened the box again, "You didn't say 'done.' You're supposed to say 'done."
Carlos popped up, holding the backpack, "No, cause we are in the middle of something big, and we can't let this fall into the wrong hands."
"We are the wrong hands!"
Emily, wide-eyed, nodded back to Kendall, gaping at Carlos. "Well, how about that guy from the airport?"
She sighed, face in her hands, exhausted from recent events and the never-ending argument about the stupid backpack. "What guy from the airport?" Logan told him, "There was no guy from the airport."
"There was that guy," Carlos shuddered, pointing behind them. Emily turned, looking behind Logan's shoulder to see a tall, bald man with a silver hammer on his hand stalking towards them down the street.
"Run," Emily called. Carlos hopped out of the trashcan as Logan and James took off first, ditching their disguises as the boys lead their friends down an alley.
"I hate that guy from the airport!" James snapped.
"You mean the guy with a silver hammer for a hand?" Logan cried.
"I told you we were onto something big!" Carlos retorted.
Emily bumped into a woman, stumbling to the side as she turned, seeing the man was still chasing after them.
"Side walk sale?" Kendall exclaimed, pulling a clothing rack out into the street, "Everything free?"
People eagerly crowded the streets, fighting for clothing, blocking the scary man from getting through.
Emily turned, high fiving Kendall. She turned back in front, immediately crashing into James' back.
The girl fearfully looked up to see an open black van with the woman in pink and black pointing a gun at them, "Get in the van if you want to live."
"Double dibs."
