2.13; reality

The last time someone knocked on Emily's door before 8 on a Saturday, she pegged an apple at Logan's head.

She wasn't not a morning person. But keeping up with the boys of 2J was exhausting and sleep became a quick necessity ever since she met them.

Emily swung her door open, ready to yell at whoever thought it was okay to wake her up, without coffee, this early when she was supposed to be sleeping in. It was Griffin.

"Ms. Moore!" He cheered, smiling.

"What the heck, Griffin?" She snapped, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Get dressed. Be in the band's apartment in ten minutes," he told her, walking off. The girl leaned out the door, seeing him leave, without any word of explanation.

The girl shook her head in frustration as she tugged a sweatshirt over her head, sandals, and called it a day.

The floor below was quiet. Because it was 8 on a Saturday.

There was a smidge of noise coming from the crib. Emily pushed the door open, letting herself in to see the guys backs to her, all in their underwear and t-shirts. There was a large screen set up, with lights shining from the otherside.

The boys turned their heads hearing someone come in. Logan shrunk back, embarrassed, Carlos sighed, relieved it was just his friend, and James flashed a bright smile while smirking at her PJ shorts.

"Cute shorts," he smirked.

"I could say the same to each of you," she retorted walking in to see Kendall sitting on the stool on the other side of the drop, also not dressed, with lights and cameras pointed at him.

"Well, I'm not crazy about doing a reality show right now, because technically, I'm in my underwear!" Kendall snapped at Griffin and the producers huddled together behind the cameras.

"Reality show?" Emily questioned, looking to Logan who sighed, scrunching his arms together uncomfortably.

"He's got a point," Carlos chimed in. "Can we get some clothes on?"

"I'm fine," James shrugged. "I can take my shirt off if you want," he offered, beginning to pull the tank up. Emily cleared her throat, shifting her weight, behind the guys, not objecting to James like his friends were.

"Please don't," Logan said, pulling the shirt back down. "As for the rest of us, we feel a little exposed."

"Which is why you're a reality show," Griffin told him. "Exposure. Because more exposure for Big Time Rush equals more record sales which equals more ham for daddy," Griffin grinned at the thought of making more money.

"Ham for daddy is important," James told his friends.

"Now, say hello to the hottest reality show producer in Hollywood, Snake Timmons."

Snake Timmons was a suede guy. His jacket collar popped with a printed button up and ascot, not to mention to gelled back hair and dark sunglasses indoors.

"Boys, this is going to be my greatest reality show yet," he told them. "Juicier than Angry Tiger Island, more emotional than the Banana Whisperer, and more thrilling than Rickshaw Cops!"

"I've never heard of any of those," Emily commented, giving the man an unsure look. His eyes snapped to the only girl.

"And you are?"

"Not thrilled about being woken up at 8 for a stupid reality show," she replied. Griffin rolled his eyes, leaned over to Snake and whispered in his ear. Snake nodded, understandingly.

James leaned forward, "Hey, don't forget, reality stars are some of the biggest stars in the world," he told her.

"And you have no choice," Griffin reminded them. "Since I have a contract that states I can make you a reality show," he said holding up the contracts.

Emily inhaled a deep breath, becoming more agitated, "Griffin, I'm not in the band."

"But you have a contract," he pointed out. "And if you want to keep your job, you'll do it."

The boys all looked at each other, sputtering out confirming words to Griffin that they were excited as Emily threw her head back in despair. She hated being on camera.

"Now, we start airing in one month on MTV 12," Snake said. "So relax, go about your lives, and you won't even know we're here." Then he shouted for the cameras to start rolling.

Multiple cameras came up, invading their personal space with bright lights, blinding Emily's eyes. She squinted them shut, as she pushed the boys aside to move in the back behind James and shoved him forward. Logan and Carlos soon jumped behind her and also put James in the limelight, who was more than happy to smile for the cameras.

"I'm leaving," Emily muttered to Kendall who nodded, blocking her from the cameras view as she snuck out the door.

The door shut, leaving her with echoing flashes and shouts from inside where privacy was being slaughtered.

***

Emily got 30 minutes to go back to sleep, before she gave up, her mind wide awake.

She got dressed for real and made plans with Logan.

Logan and Emily had a mutual relationship centered around communication and cognitive stimulation. They both loved challenges and learning and simplicity.

Their favorite: playing Go Fish in the park while mindlessly talking about life.

"We're doing this at the perfect time," Logan said as they each started shuffling through their hands, pairing up cards.

"Why's that?"

"The cameras are in the crib with everyone else," Logan told her. Emily sighed heavily, secretly stressed about the reality show. "Did you have to give an opening interview already?"

"They asked me about secrets in Big Time Rush," she told Logan, narrowing her eyes in distaste for the premise of the show already. "I'll gladly participate in a show about you guys doing stupid things, but I get weird vibes from that Snake Timmons."

Logan nodded along, drawing a card, "He started making up things how I was going to leave the band when I told him I want to be a doctor. 5's?"

Handing over two cards to Logan, she noticed the entire crew spotting them in the park, coming over, cameras rolling, "They found us," she grumbled. "2's?"

"Go fish," Logan said. "Do you have any 3's?"

"Go fish," Emily commented, trying her best to ignoring the people intensely watching them out of the corner of her eye.

"Cut!" The two looked over, seeing Snake disappointed. "What is this? An old married couple?"

"No, it's Go Fish," Emily said, waving her cards up.

Snake marched over, leaning in between them on the wooden table, "Logan, this show needs passion, betrayal, then passion again!"

Emily and Logan both awkwardly laughed, looking at each other at the idea of them being romantically involved.

"That'd be kinda awkward," Logan said.

"We're just really good friends," Emily told him, realizing this Snake could easily expose her relationship with James if they weren't extra careful now.

"If you want this show to be as huge as Griffin does, you're really really good friends," he hinted, snapping his hand, an assistant bringing over a heart shaped box of chocolates. He shoved them in Logan's hands, going behind the boy to puppet him, "Emily, I got you these chocolates!" He mimicked in a supposed Logan impersonation. He ran behind Emily, doing the same to her, as he had to accept the box, "Oh, Logan," he said in a high voice, "I love it. But we can't be together, it's wrong! But it's so right!" He said, making the girl throw the box to the side dramatically.

Emily squirmed out of his hold, "I don't like people touching me," she mumbled.

"Wait, so this is how reality TV really works?" Logan asked.

"Yup," the man answered. He placed a hand on the backs of both teen's heads, pushing them together over the table, "Now, you two, kiss."

Emily's heart dropped far below her stomach she could barely feel it anymore. She was with James. Well, something with James. And Logan and Camille are two of her best friends. And Logan is one of her best friends, she couldn't kiss him. She couldn't expose her and James like this in front of Logan and the world, but Emily also had a contract. And if she didn't kiss Logan, she could be fired, forced to kiss someone else...

Logan and Emily both held shaky breaths as they looked at each other with wide eyes. Neither wanted to do this. But both of their eyes said they had too.

Snake ran back to the cameras, "Remember, we're not even here." He pointed for them to kiss.

Emily and Logan both slowly leaned in, turning their heads away from each other, as they gave a very uncomfortable side kiss, their lips barely touching. Emily felt repulsive inside. Not so much towards Logan, but towards herself for kissing someone else.

She looked off to the side, not moving her lips as Logan held up a hopeful thumbs up that they got the shot and it was over.

"Ah!" Snake screamed, throwing his book down, the cameras turning off. Emily and Logan immediately broke away, getting as far away from each other as they good, wiping their lips off and not looking at each other.

Snake mumbled to his camera team, stalking off.

Alone, Emily stared down at her legs while Logan awkwardly played with his fingers on the cards.

Silence overwhelmed the two.

A wave of fire grew up Emily's back, her hands starting to sweat.

"I gotta go," she mumbled, hurriedly leaving the table as Logan did the same, taking off in the other direction.

"I have an appointment," he said. The two swiftly passed each other, not meeting each other's eyes.

She kissed someone else. Not just anyone. James' best friend.

Emily found herself in front of the crib door. She couldn't bring herself to knock. What if the camera's were in there?

Emily took a calming breath, and pushed the door open to find Carlos and James alone in the crib, eating pie and playing video games on the couch.

"Em!" Carlos cheered, seeing her walk in.

"What's up?" James called, focused on the game.

Emily shifted her weight, playing with her hair, "Carlos, I saw a corndog cart down by the pool," she said. The boy snapped his head to her, eyes wide. "He's heading to the park."

Carlos screamed, jumping over James and vanished from the crib, his stomps heard from the hallway.

James snickered, "We have a corndog cart?"

Emily sighed, looking at him, "No, I lied."

"Why?" He asked, laughing. James stopped when he saw Emily wasn't laughing with him, "What's up?"

"Is anyone else here?" She asked, quietly.

"No."

Emily sat down on the table in front of James. The boy gave her a wearily glance over, knowing something wasn't right. "I have to tell you something." He nodded for her to go on. "The producer is looking for romance in the show," she told him, feeling like her heart would slide up to her throat and chock her at any moment. "He found Logan and I playing cards in the park, and..." Emily sighed, throwing her face into her hands. James sat frozen, unsure how to react at her distressed state. "We had to kiss," she mumbled into her hands, eyes covered.

"You what?" James demanded.

Emily finally looked up, her breath quickening at she rambled off to James, "I didn't know what to do. It was short and gross and awkward, but we signed contracts, and I didn't want to reveal what's happening here," she explained, motioning between her and the boy who didn't move. "And I'm so sorry, James, I'm sorry, I don't want to make excuses-"

"Oh my god, stop talking," James snapped, holding his hands in front of her face. "Calm down," he instructed, breathing with her. "It's okay."

"It's really not okay, I-"

"You're still talking," he told her. Emily snapped her mouth closed, biting on her tongue to keep the words in. "I don't love the idea of you and my best friend kissing..." James admitted, trying to not think about it.

"James, I love taking this slow," she told him. "And I really don't want this show to become centered around us and possibly ruin whatever we have going on."

James shook his head, "Then we can't tell anyone."

"James, that means-"

James squinted his eyes shut, "Lalala!" He sang, knowing what the girl would've said and certainly didn't want to hear it a second time. He peeked an eye open, relaxing at the sight of Emily rolling her eyes at him. "But, there's nothing between you guys, right?" James asked, unsure.

"Oh my god, no," Emily assured him, shocked a part of him could even think that. "All we have is an unfinished game of Go Fish," she told him, sadly.

"Then that means we have to find a way to unite the team," he said, interlocking his hands, "and change the coarse of the show without anyone realizing."

"It also means I have to talk to Logan," Emily grumbled, dreading that conversation.

"You didn't talk already?"

"We ran away from each other."

***

Emily found Logan back at the table, gathering the Go Fish cards by himself. With James off her conscious, she tapped Logan on the shoulder.

The boy turned, unaffected, but yelped once he saw it was Emily. He dropped all the cards in a panic.

"So we gotta talk," she told him.

"Yeah, I know," Logan sighed.

Emily sat in the grass with Logan, surrounded by scattered cards. "It obviously meant nothing," she started, clearing the air.

"Obviously!" Logan agreed, relieved they were on the same page.

"And it was super uncomfortable."

Logan scoffed, "Super uncomfortable."

Emily narrowed her eyes, "Logan, stop repeating everything I say."

Logan grimaced, "We have no excuse they'd believe to forget about this romance plot," Logan thought, "And we're required to do this..."

Regretfully, Emily nodded along, "So, every time camera's are around we're in love?" Emily questioned, moreso to herself, hating the idea.

"Until we find a solid way to get out of it," Logan mentioned.

"I just don't want to kiss again," Emily admitted, accepting everything else they'd have to do that's romantic.

"I don't either," Logan agreed.

She shook her head helplessly, "How do we fix that?"

Emily rose to her feet, holding out a hand for Logan. They walked in step out of the park.

"You could melt your lips off," Logan offered.

Emily coughed down a laugh, "True, or you could glue tacks to yours."

Logan nodded sarcastically as they crossed towards the doors into the lobby, "Oh, that's a good point, or you-"

Logan got cut off as her words drowned in shouts and screams. Rounding the corner, Emily and Logan gaped in confusion at Carlos and James fighting each other with Mama Knight frantically screaming at them to stop.

"You two!" Snake shouted, lifting a camera from the fight to the two who walked in the shot, "Kiss now!"

Emily turned to Logan, panicked. As Snake continued at shout at them. Logan and Emily both sighed in regret, before going in.

They both closed their eyes tightly, freezing uncomfortably as the touch of the other, and kissed.

Their lips touched more than the last, but they broke apart every two seconds to keep from any gross or intense kissing.

"Stop!"

Emily and Logan sighed in relief, each pushing the other off them. She looked up, wiping her lips to see Kendall covered in trash, screaming at everyone.

"Don't you guys see what this reality show is doing to us? And I guarantee you," he pointed to Snake as James stood, "Griffin's not gonna like it!"

James punched Kendall, nodding into the camera, before tacking Carlos again, restarting the chaos.

Logan and Emily shook themselves off, before pulling each other back in, distantly kissing.

***

"I don't like it."

Everyone showed up in Griffin's office, showing the horrific footage from outside.

"I love it!" Griffin smiled, shocking Kendall, the only one who wasn't acting out.

Carlos and James continued to fight each other. On the other side, Logan and Emily hugged each other, their foreheads touching, as they secretly mumbled new ideas to each other.

On the ride over, Emily told Logan the kissing was done. They agreed on hugging, holding each other, kisses on the cheek, forehead, gross nicknames, and agreed to dramatize it all to distract from the fact that wouldn't lock lips anymore.

"We could inject you with algae and then your face would sprout mold and you'd be too hideous to be the love interest," Emily mumbled, her lips barely moving as her forehead resting on Logan's.

"Yeah, yeah, or you could get a massive nose ring-"

"Guys!" Kendall shouted for the third time. The two looked up, realizing he was snapping at them, "the cameras are off."

Emily threw her head back and Logan shoved her away both gasping, "Thank goodness," Logan mumbled.

"They're on again," Snake commented.

The two rolled their eyes, going back to touching one another.

"Why does love automatically equal PDA?" Emily mumbled.

"I know, right?" Logan scoffed under his breath.

"...shocking ending," Griffin said. Catching his words, Logan and Emily separated, tuning into the conversation no matter what the cameras were doing.

"Shocking ending?" The boys all repeated.

"Get ready," Snake gasped. "Because in the season finale, the viewers get to vote on which band member gets kicked out of Big Time Rush and pick their hot replacement!"

Emily's jaw dropped as she turned to see ten guys pour into the room, crossing their arms at the band. Griffin snapped his fingers. Snake turned the tablet to the guys where Emily squeezed in front of James.

A promo began playing of the show. It showed solo shots of each person with their name, including Emily and then a guy named TJ, who she had never met.

As it ended, they all broke out shouting at them.

"You can't kick one of us out of Big Time Rush!" James snapped.

"As executive producer of this show and CEO of RCMCBT Global Net-Sanyoid," Griffin listed, "I can do just about anything I want, except digest cheese and stop my wife from remodeling."

"Griffin, this is an invasion of privacy," Kendall told him.

"No, it's reality TV."

Emily shook her head, scoffing, "Gustavo isn't going to allow this," she told the man as the boys nodded behind her.

"Really?" Griffin questioned. "Let's just check in on Gustavo and see what he has to say."

As Snake pulled out the tablet to show a video feed, Emily groaned, holding her head, knowing it was probably nonsense if cameras were stuck on him and Kelly.

She peeked through her fingers to see them giggling and repeatedly saying "Hi," to the camera.

"Frankly, I don't see the problem," Griffin said. "You came to Hollywood to be stars, and you're going to be, huge."

Logan leaned over to Carlos making Emily lean in the opposite direction from Logan. He whispered in Carlos' ear.

"We're not gonna be-" Carlos started to say before freezing. Logan leaned back over, and the boy nodded, "manipulated like this."

"And you can't kick one of us out because Big Time Rush always sticks together," Kendall told them.

Griffin and Snake started whispering making Emily uneasy. She leaned back to Kendall, "I don't like how they're whispering."

"How about at the end of the season I give the members of Big Time Rush not voted out a victory bonus of $1 million dollars?" Griffin offered.

Kendall scoffed as his friends widened their eyes in integument. Emily sigh heavily, already knowing which guys behind her were gonna play along to take the cash prize.

***

The producer forced them all back into the crib for interviews. Kendall refused to speak until he receive his butt, whatever that meant. James and Carlos each threw each other under the bus. TJ called out Logan and Logan declared he was going to win because of his relationship with Emily.

Emily sat on the stool as Kendall watched amused, Logan held up heart signs and Carlos and James fought behind the cameras.

"Emily, who do you think will be voted off?" Snake asked.

"TJ," she replied, making the mystery guy gasp.

"TJ isn't in the band," Snake told her.

"Oh," Emily sighed. "Griffin."

Snake bit his tongue, getting frustrated with the girl, "Griffin is also not an option," he seethed.

"You?" Emily guessed.

Snake tossed the tablet in rage, "Get out of here!" He shouted.

Emily raised her arms in playful defense, happily exiting the crib, a smug smile on her face when she realized she got under his skin.

As Emily waiting at the elevator, Kendall ran past, carrying Katie over his shoulder. "Em! Secret meeting, now!" He snapped in a hushed tone, running off with a confused Katie.

Kendall led the girls into the air ducts.

"The ducts?" Emily questioned as she hunched over, crawling through the tight space.

"There's no cameras," Kendall said. Recently, Snake installed a camera on every corner of the Palm Woods, killing any chance anyone had of privacy.

"Okay, what's the plan?" Katie asked. "Cause I'm stumped."

"We're gonna get the band back. We're gonna get my butt back. We're gonna get our lives back! Then, we're gonna get a smoothie," Kendall said.

"I'm so confused," Emily admitted, blankly staring between the two siblings. Katie turned on her knees to the girl.

"Kendall's pants fell down when he got out of the pool-"

Emily burst out laughing until Kendall glared at her and she stopped.

"And stupid producer man is allowed to film me now if he disguised my voice and blurs my face out," Katie explained.

Emily nodded, "And what's up with your mom?" She asked. The woman had been running around offering them "healthy snacks" while dressed like a 50's housewife.

"We don't know," Kendall admitted.

"Back up plan:" Katie offered, "You start talking to the camera, Logan gets voted off, and you pocket a cool mil."

"Katie!"

"Just sayin'."

***

Step one was to round up the band and get them to realize this was a stupid show and to join forces to shut it down. Emily stood in the park with the cameras, waiting for Logan to show up. Kendall and Katie were going to cut the power and drag the other three into the air ducts while Snake fixed his equipment.

"Emily, we are over!" Logan shouted as he stormed over to Emily.

Emily furrowed her eyebrows, not expecting him to say that. Then the girl hid a small smirk as she raised her hand, and slapped Logan across the face, the stinging vibrating on her hand as she brought it back to her.

"I can't believe you, Logan Mitchell!" She shouted back.

Logan gaped in pain at her, "Seriously?" He got back into "character," "Guess what? I want you back!" He declared, pulling Emily in, pecking her on the lips. Before she could react, Logan pushed her away, holding her face in his hand. "No, we're over!" He declared again.

"I'm going to kill you," Emily told him, forgetting about the cameras as she slapped him yet again.

They were quickly forgotten about as James and Carlos barreled through, tumbling to the ground. As the camera left Emily and Logan, he lifted his red face to her.

"You slapped me!"

"You kissed me!"

"It's a million dollars," Logan pleaded with her.

"Cut, cut!" Snake yelled, looking over the cameras in confusion when they suddenly stopped rolling. Emily smirked when she saw Katie unplugging everything. "Why are my cameras not working?"

"Technical difficulties," Katie smirked.

Kendall popped up behind Carlos and James, "Hey, guys. Emergency band meeting," he told them, grabbing Carlos' hoodie and dragging him off. Emily followed them, pushing on James' back, corralling him in the direction. Behind them, Katie dragged Logan by the ears.

"I have sensitive ears, you know that!" He screamed in pain at her.

In the ducts, Logan rubbed his ear and face in pain while James and Carlos sat covered in leaves and dirt.

"Why are we in the ducts?" Logan asked.

"Because there's no cameras in the ducts," Katie told them.

"Do you guys not see what this reality show is doing to us?" Emily asked. "If we all don't band together and stop it, one of you is going back to Minnesota." James yelped. "Is that what you want?"

Carlos sighed, "No."

"I want a million dollars!" Logan exclaimed.

"And massive exposure," James dreamed.

Kendall sighed, "We can get there as a band. Does Green Day have a reality show?" He rhetorically asked as Emily shook her head in knowing response. "Lady Gaga? No! And neither does Big Time Rush!"

The three guys looked at each other in thought.

"My face does hurt from all the slapping," Logan commented, giving Emily a hurtful stare.

James shrugged," And I'd rather eat pie and play video games with Carlos than maim him."

"Okay, but how do we get things back to the way they were?" Carlos inquired.

Emily, Katie, and Kendall all smirked at each other.

"We make a new reality show for Griffin," Kendall told them.

"Let's do this, yo!"

Emily jumped at the voice behind her. She turned seeing TJ sliding into the ducts with them.

"TJ, we don't know you!" The six of them snapped at the guy who laughed and disappeared back where he came from.

"Seriously, who is he?" Emily asked them, feeling like she missed a key piece of information. The guys all shrugged, without answers for her. She shook it off, focusing, "First order of business, we need lots of cameras." She looked sympathetically at Logan, "Logan, I'm gonna slap you some more."

"Why?"

***

Logan and Emily bounced on their heels in the kitchen of the crib. James and Carlos had just finished staging a fight by the pool so Katie and Kendall could disconnect cameras.

"Have many times have you two kissed today exactly?" Carlos asked as they all waiting for the knock on the door from the producer who was meeting Logan and Emily here for new footage.

"Too many," Emily and Logan both answered, grimacing.

The girl sighed, knowing the plan was for her and Logan to kiss for a long long time while the others got the cameras out of the crib. "I don't know if I'm comfortable kissing in front of you guys," she told him, bouncing in place.

"It's okay," James assured her, giving her a "what are you gonna do?" shrug.

"And it's just to get this reality show out of our lives," Kendall reminded them.

Knock, knock

Emily and Logan widened their eyes, silencing gesturing for the others in their black clothing to hide. Snake and his crew came in, cameras rolling.

Emily took a deep breath, slapping Logan across the face, "I can't believe you'd say that to me!"

"Let me make it up to you," Logan dramatically said, gazing at the camera before turning and pulling Emily into a kiss. They stayed there, holding their breath as this lips froze in place for 15 seconds.

Emily pulled away, looking over at the crew, eyeing her friends behind them, gathering cameras off the slide. They frantically gestured for them to go again. She caught James stare who nodded at her that it was okay.

"You're great at apologies," Emily snapped at Logan before pulling him back in. She placed kisses over his cheeks, letting Logan stay alert. He gave her shoulder a tight squeeze, letting her know they got the cameras.

"Stop," Logan said. "I'll be back," He rasped out, running out the door. Emily smiled tightly as the cameras focused on her just standing there.

She laughed, "Did you guys get a shot of Kendall's baby pictures? I should go get them for you," she offered, backing out the door. Snake smiled, giving her a thumbs up.

Outside, everyone had their black clothes on, waiting on the girl.

Slamming the door behind her, "Phase two, commence."

***

They cut the power at the studio.

Emily watched Kelly and Gustavo still awkwardly waving to the camera in annoyance while the guys laughed it off. Griffin once wanted a commercial for Rocque Records. It took 38 hours before Griffin called it off after realizing Gustavo and Kelly couldn't function around cameras.

"And cut," Kendall called as Katie pulled the power line in the studio. The room going dark, Gustavo and Kelly breathed heavily in relief.

"Oh, I hate being a reality show!" Gustavo cried.

"So do we," The teens told them.

Kelly sighed, "But this is in our contracts, we have to do this or Griffin could vote us all off the island."

"You wouldn't happen to know a way into Griffin's office would you?" Kendall asked Gustavo. Emily shrunk her shoulders back, staring at the ground in guilt.

"Are you kidding me?" Gustavo snapped. "That thing is locked tighter than a bank safe."

"I have a key," Kelly shrugged. Emily looked up, shaking her head at Kelly. "Emily made copies after he left them here."

All heads snapped to Emily who held her hands on either sides of her eyes so she couldn't see them staring at her. "I said I was sorry!"

"What else have you made copies of?" Gustavo asked.

"The mansion keys."

***

Emily spent all night with the guys.

They set up cameras in Griffin's office and complied a video of the best moments to present to Griffin. If he didn't cancel the reality show, they were going to post the video.

Turns out Griffin barely did work.

He made someone cry, he played with toy cars. He talked to taxidermic animals, jumped on the couch, exercised with ribbons, kissed photos of himself, shot apples off employees heads with real arrows. He took naps, sang Big Time Rush songs, and to Kendall's delight, dropped his towel after showering, exposing his butt to the camera.

"What's this emergency, super special meeting all about?" Griffin asked.

Emily stood in front of the desk, the guys around her with a laptop in her arms.

"We wanted to show you TV's next reality superstar," James told him.

"You're gonna love it," Carlos assured him.

"I know we do," Logan commented.

"Em, if you please," Kendall asked.

Emily opened the laptop, showing a video.

"The Real Griffin. A reality show starring super CEO Arthur Griffin 24/7," the voice over said.

Emily paused the video as Griffin looked around, discovering all the hidden cameras. "A reality show? About me?" Griffin asked.

"Starting now," the group said as Emily hit play.

The video began. Griffin winced at him harshly firing an employee. He watched, uncomfortable as the clips played. Upon seeing a video of his towel dropping, Griffin sat up, furious. "That's my butt!"

"This show is really good," Snake muttered to Griffin.

"Quiet!"

"So," Kendall hummed, "you still think reality shows aren't an invasion of privacy?"

Griffin shrugged, "It doesn't matter because this will never air on TV."

"Oh, we know," Gustavo told him, "but with one press of that button-"

Emily hovering her finger over the button to post the video tauntingly.

"This video goes out on the internet for all the world to see," Kelly said.

"But we'll erase it," Kendall told him, "if you erase my butt, forget about the reality show, and let us focus on our music."

"Okay, fine," Griffin gave in. "No reality show. Just erase that video, I'll erase Kendall's butt, and the whole Big Time Rush reality show will go bye-bye."

Emily closed the computer, setting it down as the guys started cheering. She turned, throwing her arms around James who picked her up in a celebratory hug. Letting go, she turned seeing Logan. They both gave each other a comforting smile, hugging each other, knowing things would be normal again.

***

So there it is.

Logan and Emily kissed, multiple times.

PLEASE express how you feel about this. I really wanted to start adding some more drama slowly between James and Emily, but I also don't want anyone to think Logan and Emily are together or might be together, AND I want no one to see this as cheating.

That was a big thing for me when writing it and I really hope I conveyed it in a way that showed that. But also this will come back in a few chapters...

Enjoy!
