October 31st.
Halloween Night.
Except at the Palmwoodsylvania, where monsters roam free.
Normal human, Emily Moore had lived there through many real Halloweens, and had avoided making close and personal relationships with monsters.
Until her evil scientist, record-producer boss decided to create a monster boy band and she spent every waking moment with the creatures.
There was Franken-Carlos, Logan, a zombie. James, the vampire. And Kendall, who was perfectly normal every day that didn't have a full moon. He was a werewolf.
Her only Normal friend was Jo, Kendall's girlfriend, who totally knew he was a werewolf, but he doesn't know she knows.
Emily was heading to the crib to find the boys for a last rehearsal before the big Halloween party tonight.
As she turned down the hallway, three out of the four monsters were heading towards her.
"Hey!" Logan greeted. "Happy Halloween," He smiled.
"It's always Halloween here," Emily reminded him.
James opened the door to the crib for them all, "The new hot girl is mine," he told his friends. "I saw her first. I'm a hot vampire. I will bite you!"
Emily followed in behind them, trying to push James' words out of her head. She had liked the vampire for a while now, but could never bring herself to ask him out. Not only was he on the team she worked with, but he was a vampire.
Emily smirked, seeing Kendall use a small razor, attempting to shave his hands. "Yo, Teen Wolf," she called. The boy turned, unamused. "Wanna have one last rehearsal before tonight?"
He shrugged, "Can't. Gotta shave my arms, meet up with Jo."
"Fine," James laughed, "But you're going to look like a real idiot when you can't do this."
The three boys spun around, throwing their right hand up in finish, Logan's flying off and into the cauldron in the kitchen where the witches, Katie and Mrs. Knight, were baking.
"Ooh, that'll add some flavor," Katie smiled, stirring the arm in.
Logan shrieked, going to save his arm, while Emily held back a gag in disgust, turning away.
"You can't use righty for one of your smelly witch potions," Logan said.
Mrs. Knight, offended, "For your information, we are making a cake!"
Emily turned back, her interest peaked. "I love cake!" She squealed, going to look in the cauldron. Inside the mist, she saw slime and bugs and live snakes. The girl gagged, throwing herself back, "I'm gonna be sick," she cried, as she ran over to the potted plant, her stomach emptying.
"Stop throwing up in our apartment!" Katie yelled.
"Stop making gross things!"

Emily had received an urgent text from Doc. Rocque, saying Griffin wants a band of normal boys for the party, and she had to bring Franken-Carlos down to the lab ASAP for test runs.
Logan planned on coming, but Lighting stole his arm.
Arriving at the studio, Franken-Carlos continued bumping into the glass door, unable to push it all the way open. From inside, Kelly, Doc. Rocque's assistant, opened it up, the monster and normal entering.
"Okay, Franken-Carlos, time to play in the pretty funhouse!" Doc said, turning on the massive cylinder in the middle of the room. The lights dimmed and smoke emerged from the machine. Screaming, the monster tried to leave.
Kelly, however, held up two corndogs, "Get the corndogs, Franken-Carlos!"
Mesmerized, the monster stumbled after them, into the machine. The door shut behind him, and he began screaming from the inside.
"What is happening?" Emily asked, over the noise.
"I give you," Doc told her, flipping a massive switch, lighting flickering, sparks flying, "hot, singing, normal boy!"
The machine cooled down, opening. The three peered in, swatting the mist away. Emily, looked down, seeing a small bunny.
"Well, he's cute, but not a boy," Kelly commented.
"I know that!"
"Can we keep him?" Emily gushed, shrieking as she bent down to pick him up.
The small bunny sang, "I wanna be famous!"
The smile on the girl's face grew in wonderment. Her eyes big, she begged to keep Carlos as a bunny.
"Try again!" Doc declared, taking the bunny from Emily, and starting the machine back up.
Ten trials later and Carlos had been transformed into a pumpkin, candy, a skeleton, Zombie Logan, Franken-Stein, a mermaid, mini Franken-Carlos, a snake, a bat, and currently, a corn dog.
Emily stood on the side on the machine, adjusting the panels, yet again. A commotion erupted through the lobby. She turned seeing Kendall and Logan.
"Doc Rocque!" Kendall cried, "You gotta help me. I need to be turned into a normal for the concert. No more werewolf!"
"And I need a new foot," Logan complained, showing off his recent amputated foot.
Emily rolled her eyes, "It's your lucky day, boys. With this fully automated and flawless machine, you can be turned into normals for the concert, by request Arthur Griffin," She said, sarcastically.
"It'll work!" Doc Rocque shouted. "Observe: New, normal, Carlos," he cheered, "I hope," the man said, flipping the switch as he mumbled a quick thought.
The lights flickered.
As the machine worked it magic, it opened, revealing a pageant queen in a full orange ball gown.
Kendall and Logan, besides Emily, "Woah, who's that?" They smirked, watching her.
"Carlos," Emily said, smirking as she watched the smiles drop into disgusted faces.
Carlos tried to speak, still coming out with nonsense. Kelly pushed him back into the machine.
As Doc Rocque muttered to Kelly about the adjustments for the next trial, Emily laughed to herself, a thought in her head.
"Do you think when Logan goes in, his real foot will missing also?"
Kendall laughed at his friend's expense, nodding with the girl, much to the zombie's distain to scoffed in offense, and slight fear it would be true.
Doc flipped the switch, this time a green fuzzy monster emerging with orange horns.
Emily screamed in fear, gripping Kendalls arm and yanking the boy in front of her. She slowly peeked out from behind the hairy guy, seeing the monster waving.
Kendall started waving back, as Kelly pushed him back in. Emily slowly emerged back out from Kendall as the monster vanished.
"That is the most frightening thing I've ever seen in my life," She gasped, chills running down her spine.
The next trial was being set up.
Logan turned to Emily in confusion, "It was a friendly, fuzzy character," he told her.
"Yeah, and probably planned to eat me in my sleep," she snapped, hugging her arms tight around herself.
As Doc flipped the switch once more, the building shook and lightning hit. The door opened revealing a much stronger Franken-Carlos, who wasn't too happy with the machine anymore.
"No machine!" He shouted, destroying the panel. He turned in rage to Kendall, Logan, and Emily. "Carlos smash!" He tore through his friends, tearing up the lobby as he ran out.
The group ran out, watching him escape, crushing everything in sight,
"Okay! Who's next?" Doc Rocque cheered.
"I think I'm gonna pass," Kendall told him.
"Yeah, big pass here," Logan agreed.
Emily looked on in admiration.
"I like him better this way."

Emily was forced to go back to the Palmwoodsylvania and find Franken-Carlos.
Emily led Doc Rocque and Kelly through the building by following cutouts of Franken-Carlos in doors.
She swung the door open to the basement.
"Well, my hot boy band machine doesn't make great boy bands, but it does make great, scary monsters."
"I still like him like this," Emily reminded them, hoping they would call off the chase.
"No," Kelly said, holding a tranquilizer, "we need to find him and tranquilize him before an angry mob tears him apart."
Emily's eyes lit up, reaching for the gun, "Ooh! I wanna shoot him!"
Kelly smacked her hand away.
Emily opened her mouth to argue, but sounds of an angry mob chasing Franken-Carlos caught the groups attention.
"Too late," Emily shrugged.
"New plan!" Doc said. "You save Franken-Carlos," he told Emily. "You," he said, pointing to Kelly," get the rest of the big-time monsters and get them back to my lab."
"How?" Kelly asked.
"I don't know."
Emily smirked, taking the tranquilizer from Kelly, "I'll be using this."
"Meanwhile, I'll fix the hot boy band machine so that they can preform at Griffin's party tonight."
"How?" Emily asked.
"I don't know!"
Seeing the angry mob, carrying pitchforks and torches chase Carlos again, Emily grimaced, running up stairs to get a werewolf.

Emily, now out a breath from running and carrying a large weapon, swung the door to the crib open, aggressively.
She pointed at Kendall, who was basically almost full wolf by now, "I need you to help me save Franken-Carlos from an angry mob," she said, leaning against the door frame, catching her breath.
Kendall put a finger to his chin in thought, "Hmm. Face an angry mob or tell Jo the truth?" He thought sarcastically. "Let's go, Em."
Emily gave a small salute in approval of his choice, fully well knowing Jo already knew, and ran out as Kendall, on all fours ran after her.
In the basement, Emily nodded for Kendall to head towards the mob and save Franken-Carlos. She could hear screams and growls, as the mob retreated, bumping into her as they ran away in fright.
She saw an unharmed Franken-Carlos petting a full-wolfed Kendall on the head, she ran forward, wrapping Kendall in a grateful hug, "I love that you're a werewolf. I barely had to lift a finger."
"You know what? So do I! That's why I'm going to tell Jo who I am," Kendall decided.
"That's great, save it for next month," Emily told him, eyeing the time.
"No," Kendall told her, "this is something I have to do." Kendall left, walking away.
Emily sighed. Jo already knew and they were running out of time. She glanced down at the fun in her hands. Emily looked up, giving a smirk to Franken-Carlos. She raised the gun up, pulled the trigger, and a tranquilizer dart soared into Kendall's back.
"Great, carry him back to the studio," Emily told Franken-Carlos, going over to Kendall's unconscious body.
"What about Kendall girlfriend?" He asked.
Emily groaned, "Between you and me, she already knows." Emily grabbed Kendall's phone, tossed it to the monster, "Text Jo and tell her Kendall will meet her there."

They made it back just as James and a head of Logan stood in the machine.
"I have Kendall!" Emily cheered, as Franken-Carlos carried the werewolf in.
"And they've got to sing in ten minutes!" Doc Rocque yelled.
Logan looked to the side at their unconscious friend, "Uh, what happened to Kendall?"
"Emily shoot him," Carlos told them.
Emily smiled to herself, showing off the tranquilizer to Kelly.
Giving Emily an annoyance stare, Doc closed the machine. "Now, if I recalibrate the molecular levels to hotness, set the do-hickey to smizzle smazzle, cross the streams, and add perfect hair-"
"Those are real words," Emily interrupted, confused. As Doc went to flip the switch, Jo and a mysterious brunette ran in, both with stakes.
"Where's Kendall?"
"Where's James?"
Griffin appeared then, dressed in a red suit, "Where's my hot boy band?"
"Press the button for a dramatic, mad scientist moment," Doc told Kelly. She hit the button, streams of electricity flying from Doc Rocque as he flipped the large switch for the final time.
The doors finally opened. And exited four normals.
Emily's mouth dropped seeing Logan in one piece and not decayed. James had normal teeth and skin tone. Carlos wasn't green. And Kendall looked like he did earlier today.
"I have a body! And my limbs don't fall off!" Logan cheered.
"I'm not a vampire anymore," James smirked. The mysterious brunette smiled, put the stake away, and left the building. Emily turned back, giving James a confused glance. "She's a vampire hunter who's been trying to kill me all night," he explained.
"I'm not green!" Carlos gushed, "Woah. And I can use pronouns."
Emily laughed at him, going over to wrap her arms around the normal Carlos.
"I like you better this way," she told him. Hesitantly, the girl looked up to James, "You look pretty great, too."
The boy smiled back at her, rubbing his hands back and forth, full of nerves.
"And I'm not a were-" Kendall started to say, before seeing Jo in the room, "...aware that you're here!"
"Oh!" Jo sarcastically said, "But you think you can break up with me in a poorly written text? P.S. I know fire is bad!" She screamed.
Emily's eyes widen, turning to Carlos, who also remembered what he sent. The two shrunk back, guiltily.
"I did not write that text!" Kendall told her. "But I do have something to tell you."
"What? That you're breaking up with me."
"Is this story going to take long?" Griffin asked, impatient. "Because I kinda have a big night planned here?"
Emily shushed the man from the other side of the room.
"Jo, I am a werewolf," Kendall confessed.
"Duh."
The rest of the room, minus Emily, leaned forward in confusion.
"Come again?"
"You think I didn't notice all the hair on your clothes? Chasing cars when we're on dates? That weird marking your territory thing?"
Kendall gave her an unsure look, "So, you're okay with this?"
"Why do you think I always bring a frisbee when we hang out?" Jo shrugged.
Griffin rolled his eyes, magically pushing the two into a hug.
James impulsively turned to Emily.
"Emily, I'm not a vampire."
Giving the boy a blank stare, "Yeah, I know," she told him, plainly seeing he was normal now.
"No, now that I'm a normal, maybe we could go out?" He asked.
A small smile crept onto Emily's face in realization. "That sounds great," she blushed, biting her lip.
"Very touching," Griffin grumbled. "But last time I checked it wasn't Valentines Day, it's Halloween."
"It's always Halloween," Emily reminded him.
***
After the boys finished singing, Emily grabbed Jo to find them. As they approached the band, a flash went off, and as the mist cleared, the previously hot boys returned back to monsters.
Seeing James as a vampire again, the girl's heart dropped in disappointment. However, with the knowledge the two were planning a date, she decided to ignore his monster-hood.
Emily whispered into Jo's ear, before grabbing something and approaching the vampire.
James sighed, "Guess we can't go out."
"Well there's actually a different reason we can't go out," Emily winced.
"What?"
The girl pulled out a wooden stake from her back pocket. James yelped in fear.
"You're a vampire hunter?" He screamed.
A playful smile appeared on the girl's face, "No, but I had to be something for Halloween," she smirked.
James' fear vanished, he laughed giving her a amused smile.
"But seriously, I'm in character, you should run."

I OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT SUPER INVESTED IN THIS CHAPTER.
Since I feel the episode itself is a "stand-alone" so is this chapter.
This affects the normal plot in NO WAY and will not be mentioned again.
Therefore, the blossoming relationship between James and Emily at the end is entirely irrelevant.
