Not every Hollywood dream can come true.

And not everyone can afford to wait around until it might.

Emily's seen dozens of people have to pack up and leave L.A. and go back to wherever they're from.

She didn't think Camille would be one of them.

Emily had spent the previous night consoling her friend, helping her pack, and doing anything she could to get her to stop crying.

Nothing worked. So for 24 hours straight, Camille had been sobbing her eyes out.

She wailed as she rolled her squeaky suitcase into the lobby. Emily, solemn, linked her arms through Camille's, walking her to the desk to check out.

The boys stood in the lobby, drinking slushies, staring off at another kid leaving.

Stopping beside the boys to say goodbye, Logan picked up on her tears, an arm around the girl.

"I know it's sad, but at least your Hollywood dream is still alive," he told her. Emily sighed as Camille cried louder.

"No," Camille told him. "I'm leaving the Palm Woods."

The boys all started screaming, holding their heads, and falling to their knees.

"Wow, they're taking it really hard," Camille commented to Emily, sniffling.

"No, it's just a brain freeze," Buddha Bob said, walking away.

Camille kept crying as the boys kept screaming, desperately trying to break the brain freeze.

"Thumb to the roof of your mouth," Emily told them, holding Camille.

Pain gone, the boys all jumped back up.

"Please tell me you're rehearsing for a part," Logan begged, looking to Emily for help.

"No, I haven't booked a part in six months. And my dad is making us move back to Connecticut," Camille cried.

"Don't worry don't go anywhere," Carlos reassured her.

"You're not going to get me a part?"

"Nope I'm going to hypnotize your dad into letting you stay," he answered, pulling out his red watch. "I've been practicing. You're getting very sleepy," he said, swinging the watch back and forth in front of her face, only making her cry harder. "Happy, happy... You're getting very happy!" Carlos said, as Emily smacked him and his watch away.

"Hey guys." The group turned, amidst the tearful goodbye to see Kelly. "Gustavo wants you to come to the studio immediately to discuss your first music video!"

Emily looked up in surprise, hiding her excitement. The boys did no such thing. Their excited chattering cued up the crying again. "Okay. Say good-bye to the crying girl, and let's go," Kelly said, looking wearily to Camille.

"Wait. We can get Camilla a part in a music video," Logan realized.

"Really?" The girl asked, no longer crying.

Hesitant, Emily tried to interject, telling the boys not to make any promises.

"Stall your dad until we get back," Kendall told her.

"Got it."

Camille walked over to her dad, purposefully tripping over her suitcase, rolling forwards onto the ground in front of the desk.

"Are you okay?" He dad cried.

Through the act, Camille looked up at Emily and the boys, giving a wink.

"Man. She's good," James said, impressed.

The boys took off towards the studio. Emily sighed, jogging up to them, slowing them down.

"Guys, you can't make a promise like that," she told them.

"But we can get her a part," Kendall said.

"You don't know that. As simple as it seems, we don't know the video's concept yet or if there is a part for Camille."

Logan gave the girl a confused look, "Camille's your friend. Shouldn't you be wanting to help her?"

Emily raised her eyebrows at him, "Of course I do," she said, offended. "But I would never get her hopes up like that."

Kendall scoffed, "We didn't get her hopes up."

"That's the first time she's stopped crying in 24 hours," Emily told them, the boys grimacing in realization.

***

"Boys, Griffin just gave me a big old check to produce your first music video."

Gustavo help up the check, sitting at his desk in front of Emily and the boys, just arriving.

"The City is Ours."

Immediately, the boys began talking over one another, gushing about a girl who would be great for the video.

"Quiet!"

"Camille," they all said.

"And we don't know who's in the video because we don't know what the video is," Gustavo told them.

"Which is why we are meeting with the hottest video directors to find the concept of BTR," Kelly smiled, leading the group out into the meeting room.

Emily sat beside Gustavo, looking over the list of directors coming in.

Marcos del Posey walked in. The photographer who was going to shot the photo from a few months ago.

"The City is Ours. We'll start on the four boys in a car." He said. "A pretty, pretty car. Driving."

Emily leaned her elbow on the table, head falling into hand.

"And?" Gustavo urged on.

"That's as far as it goes."

Kendall got the room's attention, "What if there was a pretty, pretty girl in the car?"

"Yeah, like Camille from the Palm Woods! Please," Carlos begged Gustavo.

"Look, if Camille doesn't get an acting job, she has to go back to Connecticut," Logan explained.

"This is a music video, not a charity case," Gustavo snapped. Emily sighed, wishing he wasn't so harsh. "Boys, as you start to get famous people will start to ask you for favors, like a fashion photographer that wants to direct a rock video even though he has no experience," Gustavo shouted, calling Marcos out, going over to put an arm around him from across the long table.

"So Marcos got the job," Marcos exclaimed.

"No. Did you see what I did there?" Gustavo told the boys, Marcos beginning to cry. "Even when Marco starts crying, I still say... no." Marcos wailed louder, leaving the studio.  "Now, go tell your friend that she's not in the video," Gustavo shouted.

Emily stood up, wanting to be the one to break the news. Carlos climbed on the table, sliding to the end by Gustavo, waving his watch. "She will be in the video. She will be in the video," he said, trying to hypnotize the man.

"Get out!"

***

Out at the pool, the boys and Emily sulked around a table.

"So what do we tell Camille?" Kendall asked.

"We got to tell her the truth. She can't be in the video," Logan said.

"Guys," Emily looked up, seeing Camille in a sling run out. "I can't take that much longer. Can I tell my dad I got the part in your video?"

Feeling a sting in her chest, Emily stood up. James took his legs off the table so the girl could walk through. She approached her friend, barely meeting her eyes.

"Yep."

Emily whipped her head around, to see the boys all smiling nervously.

Camille broke out in cheer, hugging Logan, then squeezing Emily tight, ripping the sling off her arm. "I love you guys! Dad!" She screamed, running in to tell her dad the exciting news.

Emily froze, slowing turning around.

"Not our best move," James mentioned. "Don't be mad," he told Emily.

"She's so happy," Emily mumbled to herself, not able to tell her now.

The sound of more suitcases and crying walked down from the other side of the pool. Emily's gaze dropped seeing all three Jennifers.

"Not you guys, too," Carlos gasped, standing before them.

"We haven't booked a part in a really, really long time," they said, going into Carlos for a hug.

"You can be in our music video."

Emily's jaw dropped, seeing the other boys react the same. The girls pulled away, tears gone. "Told you that would work," blonde Jennifer said, the three walking off.

Carlos turned, seeing his four friends upset. "You are not mad at me. You are not mad at me," he said, waving his red watch.

"Yes, we are!" Logan shouted at him.

A squeaky wheel came again. Jo walked down towards the table.

"No, no, no, no," Kendall desperately pleaded, going to her.

"Kendall, I need your help."

"You can be in our video."

"Really?" She asked, caught off guard.

"Yep."

"I was just going to see if you could fix this squeaky wheel, but... Thanks," she said, leaving the suitcase, kissing his cheek, and walking out.

Emily leaned back against the wall the table was at, looking towards Kendall. "Okay. So I panicked," he said, looking at his friends.

Emily looked at them, questioningly, "Why is James the only one not pissing me off right now?" Emily asked, them, pointing down at the boy.

James smirked, "You're welcome," he told her.

Kendall rolled his eyes, sitting back down, "We'll just put everybody in the background as extras or something."

"Yeah that is acting, right?" Logan said.

Everyone at the pool turned to the group, "Yes!"

Un-nerved, "Besides whoever heard of a music video without girls in it?" James mentioned.

***

"Four boys, nobody else," the director said, pitching his idea.

Emily grimaced, looking at the boys for a way out.

"Because this city is them. They are the city."

"Two girls," Logan coughed.

Kendall stood up, "We love this idea. You sir, are a genius."

Emily watched him carefully as he went behind Gustavo, holding his shoulders. "We're the city. I'm a skyscraper. Logan is a taxi."

The girl caught on, smiling to herself. Logan stood, "Yeah, beep beep."

"That's not the vision I have," the man tried to say.

"Yes, it is," Carlos and James snapped.

"Gustavo, imagine it. Big Time Rush is a giant singing city," Emily gushed, leaning over to Gustavo.

"That is the worst video I've ever imagined in my life," Gustavo harshly told the man.

"But that's not my video," he tried to tell them.

"And it never will be. Next!"

While Kelly and Gustavo looked at the next director's application, Emily dropped, sinking under the table with the guys,

"If the music video doesn't have girls in it, we kill it," Kendall said.

"Got it," they said, Emily muttering, trying to convince herself this wouldn't end badly.

"Big Time Rush all alone," the next director said. "Nobody else. On the tallest building in Los Angeles."

"I'm afraid of heights."

"I hate tall buildings."

"Nosebleed."

"I get nauseous when I stand up."

Emily looked down, seeing James sprawled on the ground.

The next director came in. Her vision board resembling a futuristic Atlantis.

"You're in a magical underwater city without girls."

"Can't swim."

"Me neither!"

"I'm afraid of sharks."

"I get nauseous just drinking water."

The boy took a sip, standing, dropping to the ground again, spilling water everywhere.

"Next!" Gustavo shouted.

"Big Time Rush, are the last surviving members of the human race," a man said, hair slicked back. "And they must re-claim the city."

"Interesting," Gustavo thought.

Logan slammed his hand on the table, "Yes." He got up, going around the Gustavo. "Oh, I can see it now. A post apocalyptic, journey, ugly nightmare."

"Next!" The man ran out. "Why can't I find a director I can work with?" Gustavo complained.

Marcos ran back in. "Okay, what if the pretty, pretty car is going into a tunnel?"

 "And" They all asked.

"That's all I got."

Gustavo sighed, "Lunch!"

***

Emily sat at the table, eating her salad Gustavo ordered, the boys finally back from break.

They brought in a new director: Buddha Bob.

"It says here that you directed music video for Lady Gaga, the Red-Hot Chili Peppers, and the Fresh Beat Band," Gustavo said, reading his resume.

Emily, desperately looked, seeing Buddha Bob dressed up.

"Yeah, I don't remember."

"What do you got?"

"Oh, the city is ours. For one night, make your city yours," He said, full of passion.

The boys were behind Gustavo, coaching Buddha Bob.

"Interesting. Go on."

Emily noticed the boys didn't think that far when Buddha Bob's face dropped, stuttering, "But there's a bunch of kids in it. Tall kids. Weird, tall kids," he said. Emily turned, seeing the boys, twirling invisible hair, acting like girls. "Girls. Teenage girls. Itchy teenage girls? No, rockin' out! Teenage boys and girls rocking out to BTR," he said, finally.

"I love it!" Gustavo exclaimed. Shocked it worked, Emily turned in her chair, smiling at the boys. "You are the director we've been looking for."

"Yo, Gustavo," One of the sound guys said, coming in. "There's a clog in toilet."

"I'll get that. I'm a janitor," Buddha Bob said, pulling out his plunger.

"No you're not," the boys screamed.

"No, I'm not, I'm a director," He said, trying to cover it up.

"You are fired!" Gustavo shouted, figuring it out. "And dogs, go back to the Palm Woods, and tell your friends that they're fired, too."

"Got it."

Emily stood, following the boys out of the studio.

"It was a solid effort," she told them.

***

As soon as they entered the lobby, practically everyone was sobbing, wheeling around suitcases.

"Don't cry. Don't cry. You're in the video."

"Don't go anywhere. You're in the video."

"Guess what? You're in."

"You're in our video."

"You, too."

"Okay. You can be in it, too."

"Guess what, you're in it."

Emily cringed each step towards the elevator. By time they reached the metal doors, the boys grimaced, "Alright. We're really bad at this," Kendall said.

"Yep."

Riding up to the crib, "Em, why aren't you telling people we're lying?" Carlos asked.

"I don't want to crush their dreams!" Emily exclaimed, stressed from all the lies.

Pulling up to the floor, James wandered off to get ice, while the boys and Emily walked into the crib.

Kendall immediately began pacing, while Logan started grabbing plates to make sandwiches for them.

"So I did and we've lied to 14 people," he told them.

"17," James said, coming in. "I told three people at the ice machine they could be in the video," he told them, regretfully.

Across from her, "We are not liars. We are not liars," Carlos said, waving the watch in front of his face and James'.

"Carlos, how much did that cost?" The girl asked.

The boy shrugged, "I don't know. Five bucks?"

Emily nodded, snatching the watch from his hands, and chucked it towards the door, the watch smacking on the wood. Carlos cried as the other boys winced while laughing.

"It's not lying if we put all of them in a video," Kendall thought, joining the group at the counter.  "That's all the parents needed to see. To see their kid acting in Hollywood."

The doorbell rang. Logan walked around Emily, going to answer.

"The parents might not know, but our friends will," Emily reminded them.

"So we shoot our own video?" James thought.

Opening the door, a crowd of everyone the boys lied to came pouring in, shouting questions.

Logan turned, coughing, "Start. Lying."

Emily stuttered, backing up to the boys, "Uh, the, uh, record company wants Big Time Rush's video to be directed by," the girl said, breathing heavily, "Big Time Rush," she answered quickly.

"It's high concept," Kendall added.

"So what's the concept?" Jo asked.

Emily looked down, letting the boys take this one.

"There's a car. A pretty, pretty car," Carlos said, recalling what Marcos talked about in his pitch.

"And we are driving because the city is ours," James said.

The teens nodded, liking the idea so far. "What else?" Guitar Dude asked.

"It's a video about a flash party on the rooftop over looking the cit-ay," Logan said.

"Because no matter what city you're in," Kendall told them. "If you have friends and music you can make the city yours."

Everyone broke out in cheers and applause.

"And once my dad sees the video... Boom! I can stay at the Palm Woods," Camille smiled.

Carlos pulled out his camera, "Let's shoot a video," the boys cheered.

Emily smiled, nervously, praying the lies didn't fall apart.

***

The lies fell apart.

The boys premiered their home-made music video on a laptop in the lobby.

It consisted of poor quality footage, a bland car, and the camera falling over multiple times.

"That is the worst music video ever," the Jennifers said,

"We know," the boys replied.

"What's really going on here?" Jo asked.

Emily sighed, looking to Logan, "T-the truth is Gustavo said we couldn't have you guys in our video," she regretfully told the crowd.

"We're so sorry," the boys told them.

"So you put on this entire charade to trick all of us and our parents into thinking we had acting jobs?" Camille asked, approaching Logan.

"Yep."

She slapped him. Emily's hand went to her mouth in surprise, hearing the smack ring in her ear.

"That is so sweet," Camille smiled.

"Then why'd you slap him?" Emily asked.

"Seemed like the thing to do," she shrugged. "Guess I better go finish packing."

Camille looked down, sadly walking away. Jo gave Emily a nod, going to help Camille so she didn't have to.

"Gustavo was right. You can't make everyone's Hollywood dreams come true," Kendall thought.

The sound of wheels and crying made the teens turn their heads towards the doors. Marcos.

"Marcuos, you're leaving Hollywood, too?" Carlos frantically asked.

"No, I'm moving in," he told the group. "I was dancing while making a ham and it started a fire. By the way your video was horrible."

"Oh, and you could do better?" James retorted.

"My dead chihuahua could do better."

"That's harsh," Emily mumbled, James nodding in agreement.

"However, flash party was inspired," Marcos said. "What you need is a pretty, pretty roof."

Emily bit her lip, looking back to the boys, knowingly, seeing they had the same idea.

"And it's your dream to direct the music video, right?" Kendall asked.

"And everybody is "no, no, no." Marcos just needs one, "Yes.'"

"Yes," the five told Marcos, smiling. Marcos broke out in cheers, pulling them into a group hug. Emily squeezed, she slinked herself down, crawling out of the hug, mumbling about how she doesn't like hugging.

"Okay," he said, breaking the hug. "Now Marcus needs a camera, lights. You in pretty clothes. All of the crew and the equipment and a pretty, pretty car."

Their faces dropped, not having access to any of that.

Kelly came in, stepping around Marcos, handing Emily a schedule. "Hey, guys. We're shooting the video at 9:00 A.M. at Colossal Studios," she said, handing Carlos four bags of clothes. "Bring your smiles, wear these," she turned to Marcos, "And you can't direct. Gustavo is. 9:00 A.M." Kelly walked out, Emily pursing her lips together, eyeing the schedule in her hands.

"Okay, I know where we can get our lights, camera, and crew," she told the boys.

"And we have the clothes," James said, grabbing two of the bags from Carlos.

"But we still need a pretty pretty car," Carlos reminded everyone.

Katie walked up to the group, holding a ball. "Do you need a cool car? I can get you a cool car."

***

Katie and Marcos tricked Bitters, locking him in the trunk of his sports car.

The boys tricked Gustavo, stealing the crew and equipment.

Emily spent the whole morning clearing the location, and getting everyone ready to shoot.

Outside the Palm Woods, the boys were ready in the car to start.

"Camera..." Marcos listed, Emily following him with a clipboard.

"Check."

"Lights..."

"Check," she said.

"Awesome giant teen crowd?"

"Check!" The crowd answered.

"And the pretty, pretty car?"

"Check," the boys smirked, Logan behind the wheel.

"Wait. You only have a learner's permit," Camille pointed out.

"Don't you need an adult in the car?" Jo asked.

A thump came from the back, "Let me out of here," Bitters yelled from inside.

"We're good," Emily sheepishly told her friends.

"Lights, camera, music video!" Marcos shouted, as Logan started driving off.

***

Later that night, Emily set up a screening at the pool for everyone and their parents.

The video was great.

The boys hosted a massive party on a rooftop, and everyone had their moment of fame in the video.

The boys tried to get Emily to be in the video, dancing in the background, but she sprayed them with a hose.

"Looks like we're staying at the Palm Woods for a while," Emily overheard Camille's dad tell her as the video ended.

The girl cheered, breaking out in a spring, tackling Logan to the ground.

Slow clapping walked towards them. Emily looked over to see Gustavo and Kelly. She gasped, stepping back to hide behind Kendall, repeating over and over, "I'm getting fired."

"We came here to chew you guys out," Gustavo told them. Emily staying hidden. Kelly smacked Gustavo's arm. "But... great video." Logan jumped up, pushing Emily forward and he broke his way to the front.

"And?" Kelly reminded him.

"Great director," he admitted.

Emily chuckled, seeing Marcos jump into Gustavo's arms, kissing his cheeks.

"Let's hear it for the guys," Jo shouted, the entire party cheering for BTR.

Except Bitters, who stormed over to Kelly, "How do you plan on paying for scratch removal, leather treatment and trunk pain and suffering?"

Kelly smirked, writing a check, "Well, with the money we saved with the guys shooting the video... how is this?"

"That could work."

"Add another zero," Gustavo said, walking to the boys, putting an arm around James and Logan, "and sell me the car, and we'll make it Big Time Rush mobile."

Bitters tossed the keys, Emily catching them. "Done."

***

"How did this happen?" Kendall gushed, sitting shot gun as Logan drove the car.

"Gustavo bought us a car," James screamed.

"I told you this baby would work," Carlos said, swinging his cracked watch in front of Emily's face, who sat in the middle. She laughed, rolling her eyes.

"Hey, in two more months I'll have my full license," Logan said.

Kendall's phone rang, "Guys, how much longer do I have to be in here?" Bitters asked from the trunk.

"Two more months," they told him.

Emily leaned forward, turning up the volume, as Logan pressed the gas.

Hope you liked it!
