1.02; school

Since her time at Rocque Records, Emily has gotten the most interesting educated imaginable.

At the School of Rocque. A school run in the studio by Gustavo. Student population: Emily Moore.

Until today, she'd never had any classmates.

Said classmates were showing her how easy it is to fool James. They had moved his sleeping self on a lawn chair into the pool. The boys were going to shout something, and James would roll into the water.

"Is it time?" Logan asked.

"It's time," Kendall confirmed.

"He's not actually going to wake up," Emily said, unsure of their full proof prank.

Kendall merely gave her a knowing smirk, "Carlos," he turned to his friend, "do the honors."

"Woah!" Carlos shouted, "Free hair gel!"

As promised, James awoke immediately and rolled off crashing into the water. The boys and Emily all let out laughs as the boy resurfaced, an annoyed look on his face.

"Yeah, real funny. Now where's the free hair gel?" He yelled, not getting it was all a lie.

"How sweet is this?" Carlos said, excitement in his voice. As he spoke, Emily gave James a pitiful shrug letting him know there was no free hair gel as he so believed. Rolling his eyes, James began exiting the pool. "It's like a vacation with singing. It's a sing-cation!"

"Okay, guys," The voice of Kelly echoed from behind. "Dry off and get dressed, it's time to hit the studio," Kelly said, motioning for Emily to go get her stuff before leaving for the day.

Normally Emily would have a car pick her up, or she'd insist on riding her bike. Kelly's around all the time to get the boys to the studio since they're so new to Hollywood and likely to run wild if left unattended.

"Kelly!" Kendall greeted, "What does the great Gustavo Rocque have in store for us today?"

"Harmonies?"

"Breaking down some new dance moves?"

"A big Hollywood party to get us some Red Carpet exposure?"

Emily stood back, her mouth shut tightly knowing these boys were about to be very disappointed.

"Close. You're going to school," Kelly informed them, causing the four boys to huddle close in fear and scream.

10 seconds and they were still screaming. Waiting for them to finish, Kelly turned to Emily, "How long can they go for?"

Unsure herself, Emily gave a helpless shrug as she stared in awe at their ability to scream for so long, "I don't know if we have time to find out," She thought aloud. She patted Kelly with intentions of good luck, before going into the lobby solo and waiting for her friends to stop by for their morning "hellos," and check-ups, and of course the daily free coffee in return for free access to any events at the studio.

All the students of the Palm Woods began walking through the halls. Jennifer, Jennifer, and Jennifer all linked arms together, giving Emily a big smile upon seeing her.

Curly hair Jennifer handed Emily her decaffeinated coffee, as usual, "Good Morning, Em," she greeted, stopping in front of the girl with her two friends.

"Hey girls," Emily replied, taking a long overdue sip of her coffee.

"Are you taking the new Backstreet wannabes to school today?" Brunette Jennifer asked, sarcastically emphasizing "school," fully-well knowing what Emily actually endured.

Groaning, Emily looked around the girls to see the boys start to follow the crowd into the Palm Woods classroom, "Yes, and they're about to be very disappointed," She told them, pointing to the boys approaching from behind.

Blonde Jennifer held Emily's hand in hope before all three went into the classroom, "Hopefully with those boys Gustavo won't notice if you slip into school here," She said, blowing Emily a kiss goodbye to which she returned.

The boys passed right by Emily, walking into the classroom. Kelly found Emily, who quickly let her know the band was under the impression they were going to the Palm Woods school.

She went into the room, pulled the boys out, who gave Emily confused looks.

"What school are we going to?" Logan asked, walking alongside Emily to the car Kelly had waiting out front.

"It's not really a school," Emily admitted, thinking about the supply closet she learns in.

"Is it near the studio?" He asked as a follow up question.

Laughing internally, "It's pretty close."

***

The School of Rocque was written on the chalkboard in front of them. Gustavo used a stick to point at it, reading the name.

"I don't like this school!" James cried from his desk in the front row. With the sudden increase in student population, the seating chart had to be rearranged. Each boy sat at a desk, while Emily sat on a stool in the middle of it all.

"Quiet!" Gustavo snapped, "You love it, because by studying here you won't miss out on rehearsal time and recording sessions. Instead of lunch break, The School of Rocque has harmony breaks. And every field trip is to the dance studio down the hall."

"And, you're our teacher?" Logan asked, fear in his voice.

"No," The man responded causing an eruption of cheers for the boys who all tried to high five with the challenge of a girl blocking their paths to each other.

"Yo!" Emily shouted, hand high in the air, "Where's my desk?" She asked, motioning to her new spot.

"There's not room for five desks, so you get a 360 seat," Gustavo explained, making her fur her eyebrows in confusion.

"My stool doesn't spin!"

"We don't have the funds."

Before anyone of the teens could question that hilarious financial statement, Kelly entered the room bringing in the teacher. Smitty.

"Say "hi" to Mr. Smitty," Kelly said, introducing the boys.

"But you all can call me "Mr. Smitty'"

All three adults laughed at his joke, before Kelly and Gustavo left the five teens with the short and skinny man looking in his late 40's. He wore a button down with a bowtie and a cardigan. However, Emily had experienced for months how harsh he was compared to his exterior.

"First up, we have probabilities-" The door shuts, "as in the probability," The man snaps, whipping the stick onto James' desk, making them all jump at the sound, "that this band will fail before its first single is ever released!"

Stunned, Carlos muttered to the friends how they weren't getting pie like in their Palm Woods fantasies, while Kendall turned to Emily who nodded saying, "This happens every day."

James decided Mr. Smitty scared him and forced Logan to switch seats. Logan and Emily were the only two in class working the math problem on the board. Raising his hand, Logan announced the answer, proudly, having gone his whole life knowing the answers.

Smitty, as Emily predicted, threw himself onto Logan's desk, "You know, I used to be in a boy band once. Oh, we thought we had it made. Hot songs. Flying business class. Drinking milk straight from the carton-"

"Math!" Emily shouted, interrupting the man having heard this speech dozens of times before. Something about being around the boys made her bolder. She knew they were all thinking the same thing, and they would all back each other up.

"Yeah, can we get back to math?" James agreed from behind her.

Smitty nodded, distracted, as he opened the door and wheeled in a chalkboard with a word problem about 4 boys in a band and their total profit and manager cut and sales percentages, "how much dream is crushed?"

"Anyone? Ms. Math?" He sarcastically asked, pointing the stick at Emily. "All of it!" He screamed. After composing himself, he calmly said to turn to a page in the textbook. Emily couldn't seeing as how she was struggling to hold a textbook and multiple notebooks in her hands.

The boys all gathered around her, making her give a look of discomfort, needing her personal space.

"What do you suppose is happening at the Palm Woods school right now?" Kendall asked the group, before each guy turned to look up at their fantasy.

Emily sat there, waiting for the mental fantasies to end so she could break the news that the Palm Woods school isn't all fun and games like they're imagining. Seeing Mr. Smitty catch on to the lack of attention they were giving him, Emily knew the boys were about to get sprayed in the face.

She snapped her fingers in front of Logan's face, hoping to wake him before he got a blast of mist in his eyes. Too late.

"Pay. Attention," Smitty snapped, spraying the boys. Turning back to the board, the boys huddled to compare fantasies.

"Did you guys just have the same Palm Woods fantasy as me?" Kendall asked.

"Was the history assignment bungie jumping?" Carlos asked, who only received a harsh no from Emily.

"We have got to get out of here and into that school," James said.

"Gustavo won't allow it. I've been begging him for months," Emily told the boys.

Kendall held up a finger, "Follow my lead."

"Hey! Stop flirting with the new students, Moore!" Smitty snapped at Emily, who wasn't even the most recent one to talk.

"I didn't do anything," Emily said, giving him a sassy glance.

"Pay attention to the board. The board!" He demanded as he pointed towards the board in a repeated motion.

"Mr. Smitty," Kendall started, "Do that again."

"What? This?" He did it again, the motion resembling a dance move.

"Did you guys see that?" Kendall dramatically asked the group, who all nodded in fake awe at the teacher.

"The passion, the snap. You can't teach that," Logan commented, shrugging.

"Really?" Smitty started dancing, a positive tone coming out of his mouth for the first time in months. "Well, I have to admit, I was pretty good."

"Which is why you can't give up your dream!" James encouraged him. "I mean, sure, you may be too old for a boy band, but you are perfect for, uh-

"A man band!" Kendall said, assisting his struggling friend. "Which is all the rage these days, right?"

"In Germany!" Carlos said, making Emily glance back at him, and shake her head slightly.

Snapping back to the scheme, "You got a demo? I bet it's hot!" James said.

"No, no," Smitty said, "I flung all those into the ocean."

"Then we gotta record you one right now," Kendall said.

"No, we couldn't do that."

"I know my way around a production board!" Emily chimed in, "I can have a demo in your hands in ten minutes if we go record now."

Next thing she knew, Emily was secretly recording a demo for the man with all the boys behind her, hyping her up, and rubbing her shoulders like she was about to go in for starting line defense.

Smitty finished his cover of Big Time Rush, the boys cheering and walking to meet him in the rehearsal room while Emily ejected the final product.

As the boys were hyping the man up, Emily skipped down the steps, "One finished demo as promised," She said, a soft smile on her face as she realized how happy Smitty was.

Carlos handed him his briefcase and Logan handed him a printed ticket to a fake city in Germany. Smitty ran off smiling as the teens waved goodbye.

A pain in Emily's heart made her drop her waving hand, "He's so happy," she thought out loud, letting the con sink in as she realized he was going to be very upset soon.

"And we will be too, as soon as we tell Gustavo our teacher bailed and we need to go to the Palm Woods school- Ah!" Kendall began to say, until the group turned to see Gustavo and Kelly standing right behind them, causing a jump.

"Of course you can go there!" Gustavo said in his fake, nice voice. "Now that you're teacher is off to Germany, there's really no other option except- Kelly get them another teacher! Someone un-trick-able!" He yelled, storming off to his office.

"Man, we were so close," Carlos cried, giving a hopeless look to Emily and Logan.

"No, we weren't," Emily groaned, slumping off to her stool in the supply closet, ashamed she went along with such a plan.

***

Within the hour, they had a new teacher.

The boys switched seats, leaving Emily on her stranded stool in the middle.

Mrs. Chisdak.

A small, old lady with a harsh voice, hard look, and tightly button collar. "So, you didn't like your first teacher? Well, I didn't like him either. The moment he felt the heat, he ran for cover. But not me?" She said, holding a wooden ruler tightly in her hands as Emily was reminded of a drill sergeant. "I'm battle-tested. I have a black belt and I'm not afraid to hit you with it. And there is nothing, nothing, you can say or do to get me to leave."

Kendall reached into his front pocket, holding out a pair of car keys, "Here's the keys to the porsche our front. Leave now and it's yours."

Emily had never witnessed an old lady move so fast. Upon hearing the tires squeaking and Gustavo screaming, she knew he realized what had happened.

The door opened to reveal Kelly who merely leaned in, "You know he's not going to give up."

Kendall sat up straight, "Kelly, a proper education is very important to us, and this is a supply closet!"

Suddenly a voice came over the intercom Emily didn't remember the studio having. "Attention, students. Please report to Principal Rocque's office. All students to Principal Rocque's office," the civil voice of Gustavo Rocque requested.

The boys all gave each other a shrug and began standing to go to the "principal's office." The only one remaining still was Emily who sat on her small stool in shock.

"Em, you good?" Logan asked, as he moved around her.

"I've never been sent to the principal's office before," she muttered, in surprised fear. The boys all gave each other a confused look before Carlos turned to the girl.

"But he's not a real principal," Carlos reminded Emily who Logan was dragging into a standing position.

"Yeah, and this isn't a real school!" Kendall shouted, seemingly still upset he was being forced into a supply closet.

Like magic, James moved from the doorway to Emily's side, pulling her close against in chest in a hug. "We'll get through this," he told her.

Emily's eyes widened as she came back to reality, and broke free of James' hold, "I'm better," she announced, walking out of the closet, hearing the boys laugh at their friend's failed attempt to flirt with the girl.

Upon arrival in Gustavo's office, Emily froze again when she saw how he redecorated to make it look like a principal worked there. An American flag, an off-color, short sleeved button down, a plague with his title, and a manual pencil sharpener.

"You're kidding, right?" Emily remarked, tilting her head at her boss, who snapped his fingers and pointed to a seat in front of the desk.

The boys filed in, Logan sitting next to Emily and giving her an eyebrow raise as he sat down.

"Kids, I care about you. I do," Gustavo said after Kelly took away his pencil sharpener. I would like to tell you a story from my youth. My principal was a jerk and I vowed some day I would be a principal- a good one- fair, pleasant-"

"But you're none of those things," Carlos pointed out in a polite tone as Emily slumped in her seat and audibly laughed.

"You're not even a principal," She said next.

Gustavo slammed his hands on the desk, "Hey! Things don't always work out," he yelled, acting like his normal self.  "Bottom line is, you kids are staying in the school of Rocque. End of story. Ms. Moore hasn't tried any of these shenanigans until you boys came in here and now she can't tell right from wrong!"

Emily furred her eyebrows, "I'm the same," she raised her hand.

"You've been brainwashed."

"But, Gustavo-" Kendall started until Gustavo  cut him off by tapping a ruler on the plaque stating Principal Rocque. "Principal Rocque, it's just this school isn't meeting our social and educational needs. We need to go somewhere that actually feels like a real school."

"With girls," James added, making Emily let out a small "hey" in protest to being ignored.

"And field trips," Logan said, up-straight.

"And pie!"

Emily sighed at Carlos' request, knowing it was all a part of their group delusion of what the Palm Woods school was like.

"You go to my school, you play by my rules!" Gustavo yelled, "And I will find a teacher that will enforce those rules. A W.W.E superstar super teacher!"

The boys starting laughing as Kendall sarcastically talked back, "Who you gonna get? Chris "the masterpiece" Masters?"

***

That's who he got.

The group was back in the supply closet all cowering as their new teacher, Chris Master, or "Mr. Masterpiece," tore off his shirt to reveal his muscles and starting screaming at them.

"I did not see this coming," Kendall said out loud before the new teacher clapped and put on a friendly smile.

"Okay, class, let's get this started," He said, before Carlos turned back and whispered to the group about the credibility of the man.

"That's right!" Gustavo said over the speaker again, "W.W.E. champion and the only certified ASPA teacher trained to use the master lock." As he spoke, Masters flexed his muscles, showing off.

"That's right. And I believe the key thing to a sound mind is a healthy body, so throw your books away."

At his demand, Emily looked to Logan in confusion, knowing he'd be the only one uncomfortable with this.

Emily dropped hers off her lap as the boys pushed their things off the desks, letting it all fall to the floor.

"Now, I want you guys to lift your desks. Lift your desks!"

In fear, the boys lifted their desks and struggled to keep them in the head, much less over head.

"Now give me 500 desk presses!"

Sitting in the middle of the chaos and in fear one of the boys would hit her with the desk, Emily pulled her legs up on her stool and watched them struggle.

"Let's go, princess!" He yelled at the motionless girl in the middle.

"I don't have a desk," She said, unsure of what he meant.

"Then a 1000 push-ups! Let's go!" He screamed, pulling her out in front where there was room and forced her on the ground, screaming at them all to keep moving despite their groans of pain.

***

The next morning, Emily waited in the lobby for the boys.

Her body was screaming. Her arms and abs most of all were in constant pain, especially when she moved. Her bag laid on the floor by her feet, rather than on her shoulder. She had kicked it down the hallway and into the elevator after deciding she could not and would not be picking it up.

The Jennifers were standing behind her, two of them massaging her arms, and the other holding her daily coffee up to her mouth for the sore girl.

"I can't take another day at the School of Rocque," Kendall moaned catching Emily's attention.

She looked up, seeing all the tired and sluggish boys in front of her.

"I can't move my arms," Logan whined.

"Why are they whining? They're the ones who got that wrestler-man to be the teacher," Blonde Jennifer scoffed as she pressed into Emily's left arm.

"Honestly, I can't believe you have to go through this," Curly hair Jennifer said, tilting the coffee cup slightly for Emily to get a sip.

"I think I grew a six pack overnight," Emily told her friends. "I'm talking with Gustavo this morning."

The Palm Woods kids were all talking excitedly to one another, as they headed outside instead of into the classroom.

"Class outside!" All the Jennifers cheered, letting go of her sore arms, and taking the coffee away. Realizing their friend, they grabbed their stuff and left the coffee, giving her a sorry look.

"Sorry, Em. We got to go," Brunette Jennifer said, as the three girls waved good and laughed at the boys as they walked out to the pool.

Kelly approached Emily and tapped her on the shoulder, "Time to go," she said, making the girl groan and fold her torso over so her head was in her lap.

"Please carry my stuff," Emily pleaded, muffled from her head being face down on her thighs.

"Sure," Kelly told her, also grabbing her coffee. "What are those boys staring at?" She asked Emily who sat up to see the boys staring off into space with stupid smiles on their faces.

"Probably dreaming about their Palm Woods fantasy again," Emily said, rolling her eyes and she stood up.

Kelly walked in front of the boys, snapping her fingers and saying, "Come on! You're going to be late for school." Turning around and walking out beside her co-worker, she spoke, "You need to get out of that class."

Nodding furiously, "Way ahead of you," Emily told her, appreciative Kelly understood her pain.

***

At the studio, the boys went into the closet as Emily stayed back and went into Gustavo's office instead.

Surprised to see her, he sat up straight, "What are you doing? Go to class," He said, waving his hand away.

Ignoring his command, she dropped into the chair, "I can't do it anymore. Gustavo, I didn't ask for a W.W.E teacher and now I can't drink my coffee-"

"Probably for the best."

"I don't need the Palm Woods, just please get a new teacher or make a new class and put me in it."

Gustavo stared at her, like he was contemplating her offer, before speaking, "Yeah, no," He said, shaking his head and making Emily frown. "But, in return for you not drinking caffeine, I will write an excuse note from all class activities from Principal Rocque," He told her, proudly smirking as he began scribbling on a note pad.

"You're still not a principal."

"Do you want the note or not?!" He yelled, waving the note around the room.

"Yes, yes, thanks," She muttered, ripping the note from his grasp and walking out of the office.

She heard screaming behind the closet door. As her heart rate sped up at what the boys were having to endure, she opened the door to see the exact opposite: What Chris Masters had to endure.

There was a pile of something resembling vomit on James' desk. All the boys pulled out spoons and leaned in with big smiles and began eating what was left off the desk.

As the W.W.E superstar screamed for them to stop, Emily stood frozen in the doorway, disturbed by what she saw, and frankly sick.

Masters pushed past Emily, screaming and running out of the studio. Emily turned around feeling a twist in her gut and found a nearby fern sitting in the office, dropped to her knees and felt all her stomach's contents pore from her mouth and into the poor plants bed.

While she heard Gustavo screaming from behind her, she continued to be sick, until she couldn't anymore and felt exhaustion and a headache wash over her body.

"Principal's office, now!" He screamed. Emily sat back on her legs, trying to process what she just saw.

Kelly appeared in front of her, holding a cup of water, and a towel, "They pored clam chowder on the desk and faked it," She explained, rolling her eyes at their antics. Relief washed over the sick girl that the boys were demented freaks, but frustrated with the never-ending scheme on their have negatively affecting her. "Come in when you feel better."

She felt her eyes watering from all the gagging that just occurred, and tried to clean herself up, while settling her stomach, and breathing all at the same time.

The laughter of teenage boys started her heart again as she found herself annoyed with them and the game. It got louder until the boys walked out of the door and looked down to see what was huddled over the plant on the wall.

"Emily?" Carlos asked, coming over to her.

"Are you okay?" Logan asked, kneeling beside her.

A few sighs and mutters of "oh my god" happened when the guys saw what had happened.

Emily held her head high and didn't look at them. Instead she snapped the hair tie off her wrist and went to pull her hair back.

"We're so sorry, it wasn't real-" Kendall started to explain as Emily stood up and turned around.

"Kelly told me," She said, as she started to push past them and into the office before Carlos ran forward to stop her.

"Woah, wait, are you okay?" He asked, turning her around to face the guilty and concern group of friends.

Emily just looked at them each and gave a small nod, "I'm fine," before turning and entering the office.

Gustavo and Kelly stood in there, annoyance all over their faces, but sympathy for the girl.

As the boys sat down, Gustavo pulled out a blue book and slammed it on the desk in front of them.

"The ASPA Official School Registry?" Kendall read.

"And it's filled with every ASPA licensed teacher that I can and will call!" Gustavo shouted, showing the thick binding on the side. "Every time you chase one off, I have 10,000 waiting in the wings," He said, throwing the book into Logan's chest.

"It's a big book, guys. Your next teacher will be here in thirty minutes," Kelly told them, giving them stern looks as well.

"However," Gustavo said loudly, catching their attention, "I do not have 10,000 production assistants on standby so please don't break mine!" He shouted, looking over at Emily who really wished she could have coffee right now. "You play by my rules, I win!" He  stood up, looking down at the boys, "I'm going to laugh and leave victorious now."

Gustavo walked out of his office, maniacally laughing with Kelly trailing behind, as Logan started flipping through the book, with Emily peaking at what was written inside.

"Well, I guess we can kiss the Palm Woods school goodbye," James said.

"Maybe not," Logan spoke up, pointing at the book. "This isn't just a list of teachers. It also has the rules every ASPA school needs to follow."

"I smell brain," Kendall grinned. The other three guys stood up, Kendall leaning against the desk in front and James and Carlos behind him and Emily.

"Okay, according to this, we're entitled to hot lunches, outdoor breaks and interscholastic sports programs."

"We didn't get any of that!" Carlos said.

"Exactly," Logan said, moving to stand beside Kendall, "So, if Gustavo wants to have a school here..."

"He's gotta play by these rules," Kendall finished, smirking at his friends.

"I smell plan," James smiled.

"You in?" Kendall asked Emily, who hadn't said a word about anything since she sat down.

Emily stared at the floor in silence. The boys looked at each other and sighed. James put his hands on her shoulders and started rubbing them, while Carlos got down on his knees and began begging for forgiveness.

"Oh, get up," Emily told him, rolling her eyes at the dramatics. "What does that book say about administration denying the students certain caffeinated beverages?" She asked Logan.

The boys grew confused grins. They'd witnessed and heard all about Emily's in-office ban on coffee, but never knew why.

Smirking back, "Can't do it," Logan said, closing the book.

The boys all huddled around Emily, waiting for her to declare her alliance to them.

She turned her head in all directions, where she was met with a boy each way, "Are you waiting for me to say I'm in? Can't we just go?" She asked, making them step back in shock.

"Ouch," Kendall mumbled, leading the group out of the office and elsewhere to start their new plan.

***

Emily loved coffee.

It had a beautiful taste she couldn't get enough of, and really loved how people didn't want her to have it.

Two sips in and she felt her leg start to bounce as she sat contently in her seat on the white leather couch.

The boys found a rule about appropriate storing space for students and were about to dump all their things in Gustavo's recording studio and office.

Kendall and James stared at the girl in interest as the caffeine already started to take affect.

"She's making the floor vibrate," James whispered to Kendall, not going unheard by the ultra alert Emily.

"This is awesome," Kendall said, grinning from ear to ear.

"I know I'm only a ploy in your plan but I don't care, I still got coffee," She told them, talking faster than normal before shrugging and taking another sip.

The boys laughed and turned to go empty their junk into the studio where Kelly and Gustavo were.

Emily saw the boys come back seconds later, holding amused looks, Gustavo right behind them.

"Hey! I hope there is a good reason why my control room is filled with your sweaty socks!" Gustavo screamed at the boys.

"Well, ASPA rule 209 states that all students must have adequate storage for personal belongings," Kendall read.

"Which the School of Rocque hasn't provided," James told Gustavo and Kelly.

"Oh, I don't like the sound of this," Kelly mumbled, dreading whatever they had in mind.

Logan and Carlos skipped down the hallway, smiling and waving as they went into Gustavo's office, no doubt to make a mess.

Once they all followed into his office, Emily stood up and felt the need to be active. Her body couldn't sit still anymore.

She heard the new teacher, who they told was allowed some personal days cheer as he ran out to go to the beach.

Gustavo leaned out the door, upset another teacher was gone. His eyes widen in shock when he looked a little to the right and saw Emily holding a coffee cup in her hand while she spun in a circle.

"Who gave her coffee?" He screamed, making Kelly run out the door hoping he wasn't talking about Emily.

The boys came out, amused by their friend's response to caffeine and even more amused at how scared their boss was.

"We did," Logan started to say, until Emily cut him off but kept spinning,

"ASPA rule 511 states that students have access to all drinks throughout the day such as water, sports drinks, tea, and coffee," She said, speaking really fast. She stopped spinning, now facing Gustavo, Kelly, and the boys bouncing. "That means as long as I'm a student here I have the right to coffee all day every day and can have however much I want."

Gustavo let out a small cry.

"Okay, I know we're in the middle of something else, but I really feel like it's time to record a new song," She told the group, walking back to the recording booth. As she turned to start walking, the dizziness caught up with her and she started stumbling.

The boys went forward to catch her, starting to realize this wasn't the best idea. James steady the girl, holding onto her shoulders, his body starting to vibrate from touching her.

"Speaking of, I need another coffee."

"No!" All the boys and adults shouted, making Emily give them an offended look.

"As your punishment," Gustavo started to say, dragging Kelly back into his office with the rule book to look for a way out, "you dogs are in charge of that!" He exclaimed, pointing towards the unstoppable girl and slammed the door.

"This wasn't our best idea," Kendall said to his friends who nodded in agreement. "Now, the next part of the plan-" Kendall started to inform the group on step two, but was ultimately silenced by a bleating goat who wandered into the studio. Before anyone could question it, a delivery man walked in with two huge boxes.

"Delivery for Emily Moore?"

She broke free of James, pushing past him, to eagerly sign for her order, "That's me!" She excitedly carried the boxes over to the table to open. The delivery man quietly asked the band if the girl was okay, to which they all shook their heads.

"Um, what's all this, Em?" Carlos hesitantly asked, approaching her.

"Oh yeah, I already made a plan," She told them, much to their confusion and protest. "APSA schools have a right to a mascot, so I rented a goat, and designed school spirit wear and jerseys for the game."

"You rented a goat?"

"When did you have time to do all this?"

"What game?"

"I'll take a large shirt."

"ASPA students also have the right to play sports so pick a sport, grab your jersey and I can have a team here to play us in 15 minutes."

Still shocked at everything that they've learned in the past two minutes, Logan urged her on, "Can you answer the other questions?"

"Oh, yeah, I got a goat and I named him Gus. I did all this while you guys were trashing the studio, and get yourself a shirt, I'm not your mom."

Offended, James reached into the box and pulled out his large t-shirt, while the other boys stared at her, impressed.

Knowing they didn't expect this from her, and it only happened because she had coffee, Emily happily smiled and gestured towards her merchandise for the choosing.

***

Gustavo and Kelly were less than pleased and freaked out to see a goat in the studio wearing a School of Rocque towel.

The boys were taking a water break from the basketball game.

Emily had found people on the street to come to the game and even got a score board installed.

Emily was in the "gym," continuing to cheer.

With all her energy, the boys convinced her to be the School of Rocque cheerleader. She wanted to play in the game, but she couldn't keep still and wouldn't stop giving random facts during the game, so the boys unanimously benched her.

As the game started again, Emily waved to Kelly who was in the stands cheering on the boys with Gus and wearing her own spirit shirt. Gustavo attempted to stop the game, but only got trampled by the players.

Time ran out.

The boys and Emily met in the middle to pull up Gustavo from the ground.

"Sorry, Gustavo, we'll get them next time," Kendall said, giving him a sorry look,

Emily shook her pom poms, "Go goats!"

Gustavo ripped them away from her and turned to Kendall, "Principal's office, now!" He screamed, pointing for the five teens to go sit in the office for the 3rd time now.

"I am the principal of this school. I do not give into demands and hooliganistic tactics don't scare me," he shouted at the sweaty boys.

"Not even that," Logan asked, pointing to Emily sitting the in middle of the group, her leg still bouncing.

"You cannot beat me!" He shouted back, closing eyeing his assistant.

Emily turned to her right and flicked at James' long hair, to which the boy swatted her hand away.

"What you've done here cannot and will not go unpunished," Gustavo said. "Which is why I hereby expel you!"

"What does that mean?" James asked for clarification on behalf of the group.

"It means... you are hereby kicked out of the School of Rocque!" The man shouted, standing at his desk. "Now get out! Go on," He told the teens who all calmly exited the office, unaffected by their recent expulsion.

They knew they had won.

First day at the Palm Woods school.

The Jennifers and Emily got their coffees together. Emily's decaffeinated.

In class, Emily sat in front of James, and was just happy to have her own desk.

"Okay class, let's start with science," Ms. Collins said, standing before the room. "We're going to talk about water displacement."

Opening her notebook, the boys all started shouting from the row behind Emily, standing on their chairs and pulling out water guns and for Carlos, a pie.

She groaned, forgetting about their crazy fantasies and ducked to cover her head from the water. The class screamed. The boys died down in seconds, realizing it wasn't like their fantasies.

Emily lifted her head to see an angry Ms. Collins, and turned to see the four boys looking like deer in headlights, one of them covered in pie.

"This school was much more fun in our fantasies, wasn't it?" Carlos asked his friends.

"Yup," They responded.

Emily gave a shrug to the Jennifers who gave her an annoyed look, their hair and clothes wet.

Happy first day of high school.

Oh my god. Is it possible this was longer than the pilot.

One the episodes get in a groove with subplots, the chapters won't be so long.
