---Anniversary (Tadashi Hamada x Reader)---

"What should I get for him this year?" you wondered, pacing back and forth in your room.

Today happens to be your third anniversary with the handsome, loving, and adorkable guy that is Tadashi Hamada. Last year, you weren't able to get him anything, so you thought it would be appropriate for you to give a really good gift this year to compensate.

You've been trying to hard to come up with an idea, but your mind just seems to draw blank. "Argh...This is hopeless! What am I--" you shouted out in frustration, only to stop when you saw something catch your eye.

From across your room, you spotted a small (favourite colour) album. Upon recognising it, you quickly made your way to pick the item from the floor.

"It's...this...." you marvelled. What you were referring to was none other than the photo album that your boyfriend Tadashi, had given you for your first anniversary. In it were several pictures of him, of you--and of you and him together. You flipped open the album to a random page and set your eyes on the photograph before you.

It was a picture of you on your first day at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology--SFIT for short. You were this meek young girl with (hair colour) hair and (eye colour) orbs that twinkled with excitement. To be honest, before Tadashi gave you the album, you didn't know why and how he had taken a picture of you back then.

"W-Well...What can I say? When I realised that I laid eyes on the girl of my dreams--I couldn't help myself but take a picture." he said.

You blushed and tried to hide it by giving a small chuckle. "I don't know if I should be flattered by your dorky reason--or be scared by your somehow stalker-ish tendencies." you teased.

"Hey! That is totally not 'stalker-ish'. It's called falling. Falling very hard." he told you with a serious expression on his face.

Your eyes widen a bit from his seriousness. "Alright alright....but we both agree it's dorky~" you say in a silly, playful voice.

"And we both agree that I'm your dorky boyfriend and you're my silly girlfriend." he smiled.

"I'm glad we're on the same page, Hamada."

You smiled to yourself upon remembering that and turned to the next page to see what photo it held.

It was a picture of Tadashi. It was a picture of him on the day he had his successful test on Baymax. He had bags under his eyes, and you could see the unkempt raven hair sticking in different directions from under his San Fransokyo Ninjas cap--yet he was...smiling brightly. That day was one of the happiest he had been...pretty much because the robot he'd been working so hard on for months and months had finally worked.....and also because.....

"This is, uh.. Tadashi Hamada and this is the 84th...test..." you hear Tadashi's voice from the lab next to you. It seems like he's testing out his nurse bot again. He's been doing this for months now, taking a video for every test he makes. Today was one of them, and you listened intently, just to pass the time--and of course, to listen to your crush's voice, too.

While your mind drifted off for a bit, you were startled when you heard Tadashi yell out "It works? IT WORKS!!"

You rushed out of your lab and slowly crept inside Tadashi's lab, to check on what made him that loud and ecstatic. You catch him run a small circle around the roomsaying, "Oh!..Oh! This is amazing!!" he then stopped and turned to face the robot. "You work!!!" he exclaimed, kissing the bot. You had to stifle a laugh so as to not to give away your presence.

"I knew it! I knew it! I knew iitttttt!~" he kept repeating and ended up saying it in a sing-song voice while doing a happy dance. You were trying your best not to burst out from laughter or even spaz out from the sight of this adorable man.

He was rambling out a few more words but then gathered himself and spread out his arms. "Alright! Big moment here: scan me." he instructed the bot.

A few sounds were heard from the marshmallow-looking robot before it spoke to Tadashi, "Your neurotransmitters levels are elevated; this indicates that you are: happy."

"I am. I really am. Oh. Wait 'til my brother sees you! Wait 'til (Name) sees you!" he said with a sense of relief in his voice....and a small tinge of pink dust his cheeks upon mentioning your name. .....Hold on--what?

"Me?" you squeaked out, earning a surprised look from Tadashi when he saw you standing by the door. You couldn't help yourself from talking this time, you were geniunely shocked that you were one of the first persons Tadashi would want to show his finished robot to.

He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. When he confirmed that it was all real, he slowly made his way towards you. "(N-Name)?! You--You were here? For...For how long?"

"Long enough to see your happy dance." you told him as you looked away, trying to hide the redness of your face now that the guy you had deep feelings for was just inches in front of you.

He gave out an awkward laugh as he scratched the back of his neck. "Ahaha...yeah...that..." he then takes hold of your hand, making you face him with a questioning gaze. He smiled at you and spoke, "Just as I have said, I want to show you Baymax."

"W-Wait..." you said, freezing in place. This causes the raven haired man to tilt his head, confused by your actions.

You tear away from his gaze. "...Congratulations on your robot..but....I don't understand....why would you want me to meet him first? I mean, yeah, I'm really happy for you and I can see how amazing your robot is....but don't you want to have your friends see it first? You know, more important people?"

"Wh-What? My brother, Hiro, isn't here right now... Next to him, I wanted to show you." he let go of your hand and cupped your cheeks. "....You're important. Most important, even."

Your eyes widen and your face heats up as you hear those words escape from Tadashi. He looks away and furrows his brows for a while then turns back to you. "(Name)....I...I uhm....W-Well I...." his breath hitches, seemingly from nervousness. "....Aw heck. (Name)...please don't get mad." he said before pressing his lips onto yours. You were absolutely stunned at the fact the the guy you seriously liked was now kissing you; but as soon as you composed yourself, you closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.

"....I love you, (Name)." Tadashi told you after you two pulled away for air.

You felt your heart skip a beat as you heard those sweet words. "...And I love you, too, Hamada."

"Tadashi. I want you to call me Tadashi." he said, smiling lovingly.

You placed a hand on his cheek and spoke, "....Care to kiss me again, Tadashi?~"

"Don't mind if I do." he chuckled before leaning in again and kissing you once more, passionately this time.

Suddenly you heard a familiar set of sounds from something nearby. It was Baymax. The sounds that came from the bot stopped as it spoke, "Scan complete. Both your neurotransmitter levels have increased rapidly. Tadashi's testosterone levels have also risen, this indicates that---"

"---I am satisfied with my care, Baymax!!!" Tadashi exclaimed with an alarmed expression on his face.

As soon as the robot deactivated, you both looked at each other. He had an embarrassed look on his face, and you had a smirk on yours.

"Oooh. My boyfriend is sooo smooth." you teased.

He blushed upon hearing you say the word "boyfriend", but then gave a soft chuckle and showed a mischievious glint in his chocolate-coloured orbs. "And my girlfriend is sooo gonna get it."

.....That day was also the day of your anniversary.

You smiled widely as you turned a few more pages and paused at a particular picture. 

It was taken at none other than The Lucky Cat Cafe. That day, you were helping out with Hiro's microbots for the SFIT showcase along with Tadashi and the whole gang. When you guys were all done cleaning things up in the garage and making sure everything was prepared for the showcase the day after, Tadashi decided to have a little date with you. Just a spur of a moment thing. He wanted the two of you to sit at a table in the corner and just talk and relax over a cup of hot cocoa. It was so comfortable, just spending time with him. Having a moment like that with him. Aunt Cass saw this and took the perfect opportunity to take a picture of the two of you staring lovingly into each others' eyes.

"Awww!! This is just so beautiful!" Aunt Cass commented as she snapped a photo with her camera.

The two of you were surprised by the sudden action by Tadashi's ever energetic aunt, but gave her a smile nonetheless. Aunt Cass then excused herself to give the two of you some more alone time.

You went back to face Tadashi, who was just silent and giving you a goofy grin. "......Uhm, Tadashi? What's wrong? You've been awfully quiet all of a sudden..."

"......Oh, nothing." he said, looking away from you but still smiling widely.

You raised an eyebrow. "Tadashi Hamada, you better tell me what you're thinking of right now that's making you act like that." you warned.

"...Hahaha...well, I was just thinking..." he trailed, slowly meeting your gaze.

You tilted your head, motioning him to continue as you said, "....that...?"

"The name (Name) Hamada would really suit you, don't you think?" he said softly, placing a hand on top of yours on the table.

It took you a while to process what he meant, but when you did, you blushed madly. 

You weren't able to respond for a while, making Tadashi look a bit dejected as he was about to pull his hand away from yours---when you stopped him.

"....I don't think so..." his eyes widened, hurt by that statement. You shook your head and continued,

"....I don't think so...I know so."

A tear streamed down your cheek as you recalled that beautiful memory. You can't believe how cheesy you two had been that time, but it was one of the most memorable moments you two had. That day, Tadashi promised you that after you two would graduate from SFIT, you would spend the rest of your days together. It was just so incredible, how you were able to be as lucky to be in love with him and for him to love you back. You couldn't help but smile until your cheeks hurt.

But then that smile was short lived.

You flipped to the last page that had a picture. It was during the SFIT showcase. Honey Lemon took a selfie with you, Tadashi, Hiro and the rest of the gang before Hiro went up to the stage to present his Microbots. He did it exceptionally well. So well, that Professor Callaghan gave him a white envelope that had the university seal--meaning he got accepted at SFIT! We were so happy and proud of him.

"Aunt Cass, we'll catch up with you guys." you heard Tadashi say. You also heard their aunt say something about being so proud of both of them before she headed to the car.

You turned around and met his gaze. "Tadashi?"

"Hiro and I are just gonna talk about a few things. Don't worry, (Name), we'll be right back." he told you, giving you a warm smile you couldn't say 'no' to.

You walked up to him and gave him a quick kiss, to which he reciprocated by pulling you back to give you a long and passionate one.  "I love you." you both said at the same time when you broke away for air.

"Ugh! Gross, you two! Are you guys just gonna have a make-out session here or something? Because I don't need to vomit out here." Hiro exclaimed, pretending to make gagging noises.

You both laughed at the younger teen's reaction. "We love you, too, knucklehead." Tadashi told him.

At that, you left the two to talk about some brotherly matters, waving at the two of them before you walked over to Aunt Cass' car. You turned around to give the two one last look, only to see them looking like they were having a deep conversation. You smiled at the sight and made your way towards the vehicle the others in.

You were about to close the album, when you saw something sticking out from the succeeding page. Turning the page once more, you saw a sticky note with Tadashi's messy, but legible handwriting in it. 

"Let's make some more memories together, okay, (Name)?"  the note says.

Taking in a shaky breath, you smiled. "Of course we will, Tadashi." you said. You snapped your fingers as an idea hit you. "I know what to do for our anniversary..."

With a polaroid camera in hand, along with the album and a basket of biscuits Tadashi loved, you walked across the grass field. You were looking left and right as you scanned the area, then smiled as you found what you were looking for.

You quietly sat on the green grass and laid down your basket and album. "Hey, Tadashi...I'm really sorry I wasn't able to be with you last year...I was just...really upset, you know?"

Clenching your fists but managing a smile, you continued, "But now, I'm here...because I love you--and I always will. Always. So...." you paused as you held up your camera in front of the two of you and gave a bigger smile. "....Happy Anniversary!" you exclaimed as you snapped a photo.

The camera made a sound as the photograph slowly emerged from the camera. Taking in the photo paper, you blew on it and waved it in the air a little until it showed the picture you took.

It was a picture of you, smiling as you sat on the green grass......

.....beside the grave of your boyfriend, Tadashi Hamada.

It was then when you realised that the tears were flowing down your cheeks, but you took a deep breath and smiled. You took the photo and placed it inside the album you had with you. Looking down at the tombstone that held Tadashi's name, you spoke,

"Let's make some more memories together, okay, Tadashi?"
