Personality: Sassy, feisty, fierce, sarcastic, independent, closed off, witty, and shields her emotions. She likes to play wound and likes engaging in playful arguing. Elizabeth is very protective of her family and will become very angry if someone insults them. She doesn't mind that her parents are gay and is quick to defend them if need be. She is a well-trained Shadowhunter and prefers to think things through before she acts. She can be promiscuous, but definitely isn't a slut. She is very self-destructive and often assumes that she is unlovable and unworthy of happiness.

Appearance: Elizabeth has light tan skin, and her dark brown, almost black hair is worn in a straight shoulder length bob-cut for most of her life. When she is a teenager, her hair becomes lighter and she grows her hair out in long curls. Her eyes are large and a grayish-blue color, framed by long, dark eyelashes. She has rosy cheeks and often wears either soft or dark pink lipstick and she has a slender yet curvy figure. She has an athletic build and runes all over her arms. She usually wears outfits in a combination of Magnus and Izzy's styles. For example, she'd probably wear a violet purple off the shoulder long sleeve, black leather mini skirt, and black leather knee length boots.

Backstory: Elizabeth's parents were Shadowhunters who put her up for adoption because they weren't ready to have a baby. They left her at a mundane adoption center because they thought she wouldn't have an Inner Eye. Many people were charmed by her adorableness and adopted her, but quickly returned her due to her ability to see the Shadow World, believing she was crazy. She ran away from the orphanage when she was 11 and began living in the streets. She was still able to see the Shadow World, but she had no idea what it was and began to think she was insane. When she was 13, she was attacked by a demon. Alec defended her, but she still got injured and fainted, prompting Alec to bring her to Magnus so he could heal her. After a while, Alec and Magnus decide to adopt her. She accepts and officially becomes a part of the Lightwood-Bane family.
