Amara's POV:

When the pain finally stopped, I opened my eyes noticing that my eye sight was cleared, my hearing was heightened. I stood slowly, my body was still aching but otherwise it wasn't as painful.

I looked down at the brownish fur, and couldn't help but become excited. I shifted, finally. My ears twitched when I heard something running against the wood grounds, I turned my head when it stopped and seen Marcus standing there still in human form.

I growled in warning, I wasn't used to moving yet but I would figure it out. My beast I could feel her anger.

I also heard something in the distance, whatever it was moved towards them quickly and there were more than one.

"I see you be finally shifted." Marcus said, moving closer. "You will still come with me, whether I have to make you submit or not."

I snarled, my blood pumping. I moved into a fighting stance. It was quite shocking but my body moved on its own accord. I watched as his bones broke and replaced his human form with a larger grey wolf. But I didn't back down, my beast wouldn't allow me, the Alpha in me wouldn't allow it.

His fur along with mine stood up as we growled and snapped at the air, when he lunged forward I did the same, sinking my canines into his side as he sunk I his into my scruff. He swing me and I landed and rolled but jumped back up.

I could hear growling coming closer from multiple sources. Was that Alpha Blayne? I was distracted when Marcus lunged and pounced on me grabbing me by the neck, biting down.

I whimpered and struggled, his canines digging deeper as I smelt my own blood fill the air. But then he was ripped away from me. I fell to the ground, my neck burning.

I looked up and a huge black wolf stood protectively in front of me while a smaller black wolf came over and licked at my neck, I whimpered.

I watched as Alpha Blayne and Marcus faced each other. Marcus wasn't an Alpha and I knew his beast was wanting to submit to the Alpha but he fought it.

T-thomas...?

My vision blurred, I lost to much blood. My body to traumatized to fight to stay awake.

I'm almost there baby, I can feel how tired you are. Don't fall asleep. Stay awake.

He pleaded, but I couldn't. I closed my eyes.

I love you mate...

And then darkness surrounded me, I remember hearing a howl in the distance.

Thomas POV:

T-thomas...?

I heard Amaras tired voice, my poor mate..

I'm almost there baby, I can feel how tired you are. Don't fall asleep. Stay awake.

I could feel her drifting and I knew she couldn't, I howled out my pain when her link was cut off.

Blay! Kill him! Amara is in trouble!

I begged, I got closer and closer and the closer I got the more of my mates blood I smelt along with another's.

When I finally made it to the area Blayne was ripping Marcus throat out and I seen Akira's wolf nudging my mates neck. I sprinted over panting heavily.

Amara...

I shifted along with Blayne he barked orders to those in our pack while Alpha Ryder gave his, I soon had shorts and I was lifting my mate into my arms.

"We will have to force her shift..." Blay warned.

I knew he was right, but I didn't want to think about the pain she would go through. With a car waiting at the road it didn't take us long to make it back to Alpha Ryders pack house where a doctor was waiting.

They took Amara and put her in a room quickly hooking her to an IV.

"Beta, you will have to leave!" The nurse said, ushering me away from my wounded mate. I growled at her threateningly.

But a strong grip landed on my shoulder, I was about to snap at it when I turned and seen Blays concerned gaze, "please Thomas.. let them work."

I let out a slow breath and moved out of the room, I seen Akira run to Blayne and he wrapped his arms around her comforting her as she cried.

I felt guilt.. guilt that I couldn't protect my mate...

I promised...

I leaned against the wall and slid down, holding my head in my hands, my eyes stung with unshed tears as we waited.

5 hours later the doctor came out and I jumped up, "how is she?" I asked, feeling Blayne and Akiras presence behind me.

The doctor took a deep breath, "Your mate has been through a lot physically, and mentally. She was in a wreck, then she went through her change and then she was bit deeply in the neck. Her body isn't healing as it should, and she's lost a lot of blood..." he looked me in the eyes.

I could see his hesitation and I began to panic.. "is..is she..."

He shook his head, "she is alive..."

I growled in frustration, "what is it doctor?!"

"She was pregnant.." he said quietly, and my heart shattered.

"P-preg... Does she know?" The tears falling free down my face, I felt Blaynes hand clamp down on my shoulder in support and heard Akiras sobs.

The doctor shook his head again, "she doesn't. I'm sorry to say that your mate is in a Coma...Beta, we don't know when or if she will wake up.."

I staggard and lost my balance falling on my ass as I sobbed uncaringly of those around me. I could feel Blayne wrap his arms around me.

"She will wake Thomas!" He said confidently.

I barely heard the doctor apologize to us as he walked away. I sat there until I couldn't be away anymore. I stood and walked into the room. My breath hitched as I seen my beautiful mate not only covered with wires, but she was pale. Deathly pale, and bruised. I felt more sobs wrack my body as I moved to her side sitting down.

I grabbed her hand, kissing it and apologizing.

"I'm so sorry....so...so sorry baby.. I failed you." I stroked her face, "you have to wake up baby... please don't leave me... I can't live without you, and I don't want to. Your strong I know you are, you will wake up..."

Nothing, not even a twitch..
