Two people stand apart,

One weeps with a broken heart

The other smiles and laughs carefree,

Happiness having always come easy

But beneath lie the effects of life,

A thing so harsh and filled with strife.

What is black can soon be white,

One can't see, without true sight

What is silver can soon be gold,

And blinded, so they are bold.

What is light can soon be dark,

On the other burns many a mark

What is good can soon be evil,

Everything thrown into upheaval.

For nothing is as it seems.
