Chapter 1

One year later

Beth

I heard an owl chirping. I climbed out of my room in the Church Bell tower and saw a beautiful barn owl waiting for me. He tilted his head, obviously expecting me. I took the letter from his beak, and he flew away. Mail? But I never get mail. Then I saw the return address.

I held the letter, my hands shaking in horror.

"No, no, no, no!! This can't be right!" My voice shook with fear.

But it was. The address read,

Bethalyn Ulv
Godric Hollow Church
The Bell Tower Steeple

And the Hogwarts wax seal. This was real. This was actually happening.

"But-how?" I frantically tore the letter open, praying it said, sorry, but because you're a werewolf, you cant come anywhere near Hogwarts. Have a nice day. But no. It said,

You have been accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"No!" I cried out.

I stormed up the ladder to my attic room, then ripped up the letter and threw it into my small fireplace.

I don't care what Solomon might've thought about me, I can't go to Hogwarts. I'm too dangerous.

-----------------------------------------------------

"I can't go!" I screamed at Solomon. "I'm too dangerous!"

"You must." He insisted. "You cannot ignore this. It's a fantastic opportunity for you and your future." He placed his hands on my shoulders. "You have magical potential. That's all that matters to Hogwarts. They don't care about your history with Fenrir, or whatever lycanthropy runs through your veins. That's not what Hogwarts is about."

His words calmed me, but i still felt panic in my throat. "But... What if I hurt someone?"

"You won't, Beth." He told me. "I know it."

"I'm beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed, Solomon." I told him.

"It's fine. There's no need to worry. We'll get your school supplies today, and then the day after tomorrow we'll catch the Hogwarts Express."

"Okay." I agreed.

Solomon held out his hand. I gripped it tightly, and we Apparated to Diagon Alley.

-------------------------------------------------------------

And then, we were in the twisted roads of Diagon Alley.

The place was crowded with hundreds of witches and wizards and children shopping for school things.

"How will we find anything here?" I squinted above the crowd.

"We shall be fine, Beth. Don't worry." He patted my shoulder. "You still have your parent's Gringotts vault key, I assume?"

"Well, yes. It's the most valuable possession of mine, there's no way I would lose it." I pulled the small key out of my pocket.

"Let's go make a withdrawal then, shall we?" Solomon took my hand and led me to the infamous bank.

-----------------------------------------------------------

After all the shopping, the last thing I required on the supplies list was a wand.

"Are you sure you don't want an owl?" Solomon asked as I walked closer to the wand shop.

"I'm sure." I promised him. "Animals don't really like me anyways."

"Very well. I'll be waiting outside for you."

I pushed the door to Jimmy Kiddell's Wonderful Wands.

There was a man sitting at the front desk, looking incredibly bored. He then saw me and immediately sat up and smiled.

"Hello, miss!" He said cheerfully. "How may I help you on this fine day?"

"Hello, um, is it Mister Kiddell?" I asked, and he nodded in reply. "I would like to purchase a wand, please."

Mr. Kiddell looked delighted. "Splendid! Right this way, miss."

He led me over to a shelf full of dusty boxes of unused wands. He reached for a particular box on the seventh shelf. He opened it, pulled out the wand inside, and gave it to me.

I inspected the wand. It looked about 25 centimeters long, with a smooth tip thickening until the handle segment of the wand, which was visibly carved with swirling lined embellishments, and what looked like a tiny wolf's paw print in the focus of the swirls.

The wand was beautiful, but I almost didn't want it to be mine. What if someone were to look a bit too closely at the carvings? Would I be willing to carry such an obvious giveaway to my lycanthopy?

"Give it a wave, child." Mr. Kiddell's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Right, sorry." I shook my head a bit and flicked the wand, pointing at nothing in particular. No sooner than 4 seconds later, I felt a breeze pick up in the shop. Or was it the wand?

The air gusted around me, causing my hair to rustle and shift in the wind. But just as instantaneously as the breeze had arrived, it disappeared.

Kiddell looked upon me with an expression the mix of interest, curiosity, and respect.

"The wand you now hold is one that has been searching for someone like you for decades." He informed me, pride and respect pouring into his tone. "You are quite special, young one. This wand has chosen you of all others."

"Then I'll just have to buy it then, now won't I?" I smiled.

Dang that was one long chapter. 1000 or so words.

I am so so so so so so so so so so so sorry for not updating since like 2015. Life's been a bitch and I hadn't been on WP until recently.

So, apparently, Jimmy Kiddell's Wonderful Wands is a real place in the HP world. I'm not kidding, check the wiki if you don't believe me.

I didn't want her going to Olivanders, just because it would be a more popular spot where she would've definitely run into more people who would have recognized her as a lycanthrope.

Also I had no clue if Olivander even reopened his shop, much less even survived Voldemort's rebellion.

So yeah, but I liked the freedom of having an all new character I could pretty much do whatever with without being limited by how this person acted in the books.

So yeah, i sincerely apologize, and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
