Welcome to Happy Club
The Happy Club members were celebrating the success of their most recent love story one evening at their completely transformed funeral shop. Edward and Anna were seated in a peaceful nook, their talk enhanced by the soft glow of fairy lights, which created a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. When Anna started speaking about her previous experience, her voice trembled. "Jab pyaar ki baat aati hai, Edward, main bahut kuch sah chuka hoon. Mera ek saathi tha jisake baare mein main maanata tha ki vah sabase eemaanadaar aur vaphaadaar vyakti hai. Haalaanki, mujhe pata chala ki mere peeth peechhe usaka apheyar chal raha tha. Yah kaafi dardanaak tha(When it comes to love, Edward, I've been through a lot. I had a partner that I believed to be the most sincere and loyal person. However, I found out that he was having an affair behind my back. It was quite painful.)" As Edward listened closely to Anna's story, empathy welled up in his eyes. "Yah sunakar mujhe behad dukh hua, Anna. Vishvaasaghaat ke saath jeena kabhi aasaan nahi hota. Isake baare mein baat karane ke liye aapako bahaaduri ki zaroorat hai(I'm extremely sorry to hear that, Anna. It's never easy to live with betrayal. It takes bravery for you to talk about it.)" Anna grinned and nodded. "Thank you, Edward. Haalaanki yah ek kathin raasta raha hai, lekin aapako jaanane aur Happy Club mein shaamil hone se mujhe phir se khushi hui hai. Yah kaafi preranaadaayak hai ki aap kaise premiyon ko ek saath laana chaahate hain aur khushiyon ko protsaahit karana chaahate hai(Although it's been a difficult path, coming to know you and joining the Happy Club has made me happier again. It's quite inspiring how you want to bring lovers together and encourage happiness.)" Edward acknowledged her words with a loving smile. Anna found herself fascinated by Edward's candor and sincere wish to improve the lives of others as they spoke. "Tumhe pata hai, Anna, mainne kaafi kathinaiyon ka anubhav kiya hai. Ek baar kathin breakup se guzarane ke parinaamasvaroop mainne Happy Club ki sthaapana ki. Yahaan, hum premiyon ko ek saath laane aur jarooratamandon ko khushiyaan dene mein madad karate hai. Hamane na keval is maahaul ko badala hai balki in prayaason ke maadhyam se apana uddeshy bhi khoja hai(You know, Anna, I've experienced my fair share of hardships. I founded the Happy Club as a result of going through a difficult breakup once. Here, we help with bringing lovers together and happiness to those in need. We have not only changed this environment but also discovered our own purpose through these efforts.)" Anna wanted to know what he was talking about. "Mujhe apani yaatra ke baare mein aur batao, Edward(Tell me more about your journey, Edward.)" While they were still chatting, Anna's attention was drawn to a framed photograph that was hanging next to the wall. It was a picture of a muscular Edward, and there was something strangely familiar about it. "Hey,main is photo ko kaheen se pahachaanata hoon. Yah mere kamare mein lage poster se bilkul mel khaata hai(I recognize this photo from somewhere. It matches a poster I have in my room exactly.)" Even though it was photoshopped, Edward wanted to impress her after discovering what she was raving about. "Oh, vah main aur Salu hai. Inhe aap Salman Khan ke naam se jaanate honge. Unhonne vaastav mein mere jeevan ke kathin daur mein mere shareer ko vikasit karane mein meri madad ki aur hum kareebi dost hai. Yah chhavi us saahasik kaary ki smrti chinh ke roop mein kaary karati hai(Oh, that's me and Salu. He may be known to you as Salman Khan. He genuinely helped me in developing my body throughout a difficult period in my life, and we are close friends. This image serves as a memento of that adventure.)" Anna's face brightened with joy and her eyes expanded in wonder. "Kya aap Salman ko jaanate hai? Main use bahut pyaar karata hoon! Aapako use jald hi phone karana chaahiye(You know Salman Khan? I love him so much! You should give him a call soon.)" Edward laughs, realizing that his strategy was successful. "Anna, mein dekhata hoon mein kya kar sakata hoon. Lekin philahaal, kya aap hamaare Happy Club ke sadasy banana chaahenge? Aap jaise khush aur dayaalu vyakti ka atyadhik svaagat hoga(I'll see what I can do. But for the time being, would you want to become a member of our Happy Club? Someone as happy and compassionate as you would be extremely welcome.)" "Edward, I'd love to join your club," answered a jubilant Anna. "Meri raay mein, yah ek adbhut yaatra ki shuruaat hai(This, in my opinion, is just the start of an amazing journey.)" Their friends, who had been quietly watching the heartfelt conversation burst into applause at Anna's choice to become a member of the Happy Club. Thanks to Anna's warmth and excitement, the club's objective of bringing lovers together and spreading happiness had just taken another happy stride ahead. Walking in unison with the rain, Edward and Anna's steps matched the rhythm of the raindrops. With a big umbrella held over their heads by Edward, they were protected from the rain, and Anna's eyes gleamed with childlike happiness. "Yah meri galati nahi hai, Edward. Mujhe baarish bahut pasand hai. Yah vaisa hi hai jaise praakrtik duniya khud ko shuddh karati hai(It's not my fault, Edward. I adore the rain so much. It resembles how the natural world purifies itself.)" Edward stated, "Tum sahi ho, Anna(You're right, Anna,)" while laughing. "Haalaanki main sochata tha ki aap baarish ka itana aanand lene ke liye thode paagal the, lekin ab main isaki sundarata ki saraahana karane laga hoon(Though I used to think you were a little crazy for enjoying the rain so much, I'm beginning to appreciate its beauty.)" They were caught off guard by Anna's sudden need as they strolled through the soggy streets. "Kya aap jaanate hain ki is barasaat ke din isase bhi adhik aanandadaayak kya hoga? Moong daal ke pakaude aur paas ke dhaabe se kuch adbhut pudeena ki chutney(You know what would be even more enjoyable on this rainy day? Moong dal pakoras and some of that amazing mint chutney from the nearby dhaba.)" Edward noticed her intense craving for the treat. "Yah kitana badhiya vichaar hai! Aaie kuch paane ke liye chale. Main tumhe itana ujjval roop se muskuraane par majaboor karane ke liye koi kasar nahi chhodoonga(What a great idea that is! Let's head to get some. I'll stop at nothing to make you grin so brightly.)" After that, they rushed to the dhaba, drawn in by the tempting smell of frying moong dal pakoras. The vendor smiled warmly as she greeted them. "Aaj main aapake liye kya la sakata hoon(What can I get for you today?)" "Please atirikt pudeena kee chutney ke saath moong daal ke pakode parose(A generous serving of moong dal pakoras with extra mint chutney, please)," Edward added with a smile. Anna was becoming excited as the vendor was getting their order ready. Her mouth was watering at the thought of biting into those crispy treats. "Edward, aap nahi jaanate ki main isaka kitana intazaar kar raha tha. Barasaat ke din, masaale ke saath garm, kurakure pakaude khaane se behatar kuch bhi nahi hai. Yah mujhe Kochi aur hamaare mool maanasoon mausam ke baare mein sochane par majaboor karata hai(you don't know how much I've been looking forward to this. On a rainy day, nothing tastes better than digging into those warm, crispy pakoras with a hint of spice. It makes me think of Kochi and our native monsoon season.)" They located a comfortable place to sit when Edward picked up the hot plate of golden-brown pakoras with the raindrops shimmering on the plate's surface. "Main aapake sahayog ki saraahana karata hoon, Edward. Ye pakaude khushi ke chote-chote nivaalon se milate julate hai(I appreciate your indulgence, Edward. These pakoras resemble tiny morsels of joy.)" Edward gave her a point. "Thank you, Anna. Is tarah ki saral cheezen hi jeevan ko sundarata deti hai(Simple things like these are what gives life its beauty.)" They laughed and talked as they shared the pakoras and the colorful coriander chutney, enjoying every bite. Their delicious snack was served in a beautiful setting while the rain kept falling outside. "Aap 100% sahi the, Anna, aur mujhe yah sveekaar karana hoga. Baarish mein pakaude khaana ek khaas mauka hota hai(You were 100% correct, Anna, and I have to confess that. Eating pakoras in the rain is a special occasion.)" Anna smiles and giggles, saying, "Mainne kaha tha na! Pakaude aur baarish jaadu ki tarah ek saath chalate hai. Main un yaadon ko hamesha sanjokar rakhoonga(I told you so! Pakoras and rain go together like magic. I'll always treasure those memories.)" Their bond grew as they enjoyed their snack, the rain adding to the beautiful ambiance of their makeshift dinner beneath the umbrella. As they reveled in the simple pleasure of each other's company, the outside world appeared to vanish. "Tumhe pata hai, Anna, mere Amma aur Papa ke saath mera rishta hamesha sabase seedha nahi raha hai. Mere pita, jon, hamesha chaahate the ki main bada hokar ek jimmedaar, mehanati ladaka banoon. Mera dil laaparavaah hai, jisake kaaran hamaare jhagadon ke baad usane kai baar mujhe ghar se baahar nikaal diya. Aapaki hi tarah, main bhi pareshaan hone ke un kshanon mein hakalaata hoon(You know, Anna, my relationship with my parents hasn't always been the most straightforward. My father, John, always wished for me to grow up to be a responsible, hardworking guy. I have a carefree heart, which has led to him throwing me out of the house multiple times following our conflicts. Similar to you, I stutter during those moments of being upset.)" Anna listened intently, feeling a closeness to Edward she had never had before. "Mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum us sab se guzare ho, Edward(I didn't know you went through all of that, Edward.)" Edward has a dejected expression. "Haan, yah kathin raha hai, lekin meri Amma, Annama hamesha madad karati hai. Mere Papa ne mujhe ghar vaapas laane ke liye unake nirdeshon ka paalan kiya kyonki vah mujhase pyaar karate hain. Haalaanki meri maan ka maanana hai ki mujhe shaadi kar leni chaahiye, lekin mere Papa hi hai jo hamaare kathin rishte ke baavajood mujhe apani padhai jaari rakhane ke liye protsaahit karate hai(Yes, it has been difficult, but my Amma, Annama always helps. My dad followed her instructions to bring me back home because he loves me. Although my mom believes that I should be married, my dad is the one who encourages me to continue with my studies despite our difficult relationship.)" Anna nodded, starting to pick up on the subtleties of Edward's family life. "Aisa lagata hai jaise aapake maata-pita aapake liye sarvashreshth chaahate hai, lekin yah hamesha aasaan nahi hota hai(It sounds like your parents want the best for you, but it's not always easy.)" Edward nods. "You are correct, Anna. Ve meri paravaah karate hai aur main isakee saraahana karata hoon. Main bas itana chaahata hoon ki ve meri mukt-hrdayata ki kuch aur saraahana kare(They do care about me, and I'm appreciative of that. All I ask is that they might appreciate my free-spiritedness a little more.)" Anna smiled reassuringly at Edward, sensing that a strong bond was developing between them. "Edward, aap jo anubhav kar rahe hai usaka ek ansh main samajhata hoon. Haalaanki mujhe apane maata-pita se bahut pyaar hai, main bhi yaatra karana, aazaad rahana aur romaanch karana chaahata hoon(I understand a portion of what you're experiencing. Although I have a great deal of love for my parents, I also want to travel, be free, and have adventures.)" Edward is aware of her. "Kya aapako nahi lagata ki yah rassi par chalana hai? Apana kariyar banaane ke saath-saath apane maata-pita ki ichchhaon ka sammaan karana chaahate hai(It's a tightrope walk, don't you think? Wanting to respect your parents' desires while also pursuing your own career.)" She continues, nodding. "Edward, aap dekhie, mere Papa ne hamesha mera bahut khyaal rakha hai. Vah aur maan ka ekamaatr bachcha hone ke naate, vah hamesha meri khushi aur suraksha ke baare mein chintit rahate hai. Main vaastav mein apane maata-pita se pyaar karata hoon, aur main unaki chintaon se jud sakata hoon. Haalaanki, main adhik svatantrata ki bhi ichcha rakhata hoon taaki main duniya ki yaatra kar sakoon aur apane dam par nai cheezon ka anubhav kar sakoon(you see, my Papa has always taken great care of me. Being the only kid he and mom had, he has always worried about my happiness and safety. I truly love my parents, and I can relate to his concerns. However, I also long for more freedom so that I can travel the world and experience new things on my own.)" Edward made no secret of her desire. Edward is aware of her persp(It sounds like you have a beautiful vision for your future, Anna.)" With a smile, Anna answered, "Edward, thank you.main bhaagyashaali hoon ki mujhe pyaare maata-pita mile aur mujhe isame koo sandeh nahi hai ki ek din ve meri pasand ka sammaan karenge. Unhonne hamesha mujhe apane vivek ke saath chalane ke liye prerit kiya hai, tab bhi jab isake liye mujhe apane aaraam kshetr se baahar nikalane ki aavashyakata hoti hai(I'm lucky to have loving parents, and I have no doubt that someday they will respect my choices. They have always pushed me to go with my gut, even when it requires me to move outside of my comfort zone.)" Edward remarks, "Anna, sunakar achcha laga. Bhavishy ke liye aapaki aakaankshaen aur apane maata-pita ke prati aapaka sneh darshaata hai ki aap kitane mahatvaakaankshi aur dayaalu vyakti hai(that's great to hear. Your aspirations for the future and your affection for your parents demonstrate what an ambitious and compassionate person you are.)" While enjoying their tea and snacks, Edward and Anna carried on their talk. The rain outside served as a calming background while they discussed their various points of view. "Tumhe pata hai, Anna, mujhe yah sveekaar karana hoga ki main bachcho ka bahut bada prashansak nahi hoon(You know, Anna, I have to confess that I'm not a huge fan of children.)" Anna was taken aback by his disclosure. "Sach mein? Aisa kaise(Oh, really? How come?)" Edward reflected on the process. "Khair, shuru karane ke ylie, unake daayapar se bahut adhik gandh aa sakati hai. Isake alaava, yah behad thaka dene vaala hai ki unaki dekhabhaal mein kitana kaam lagata hai - daayapar badalana, khaana khilaana aur any sabhi cheejen. Bade hone ke baad unaki nirantar, kuch had tak pareshaan karane vaali baatacheet ka to jikr hi nahi kiya ja raha hai(Well, to start, their diapers can smell a lot. Also, it is simply exhausting how much work goes into caring for them—changing diapers, feeding, and all of stuff. Not to mention their constant, somewhat bothersome conversation after the grow-up.)" Anna laughed, thinking it was funny how he saw things. "Edward, aap aisa prateet kar rahe hai jaise bachcho ka paalan-poshan ek atyant kathin prayaas hai(you make it sound like raising children is a Herculean effort.)"Edward chuckles while stating, "Well, it seems like it to me. Main chaahata hoon ki log jyaadaatar samay vayask ke roop mein hi janm len(I wish people could just be born as adults a lot of the time.)" Edward accompanied Anna back to her apartment as the rain started to stop. After spending a lovely afternoon together, Anna suddenly realized something significant as they stood at the door. "Edward, mujhe yaad rakhana chaahiye ki kal raat ek fancy hall mein ek badee nrty party hai. Kya aap please mere dance partner banana chaahenge(I should remember that tomorrow night is a big dance party at a fancy hall. Would you like to be my dance partner, please?)" Edward immediately agreed as his eyes brightened. "Without a doubt, Anna!Aapake saath dance karana khushi ki baat hogi. Yah sachamuch ek mazedaar samay lagata hai(It would be a pleasure to dance with you. It seems like a really fun time.)" Anna beams. "Wonderful!Phir, main tumhe vahaan miloonga(Then, I'll see you there.)" Edward couldn't contain his joy the following day and told his Happy Club friends about the excellent news. Ranbir makes a joke about his pal. "Yah ek taareekh hai, Edward, isame koi sandeh nahi hai, yaar. Ek achcha prabhaav daale aur ek sveekaary suit dhoondhe(This is a date, Edward, no doubt about it, man. Make a good impression and find an acceptable suit.)" Edward blushes, then holds back. "Mujhe nahin pata guys, yah sirph ek dance hai, date nahi(।I don't know, guys, it's just a dance, not a date.)" Darsh encourages the same notion. "Come on, Edward. Yah spasht hai ki aap dono jude hue hai. Ise gale lagaane(It's obvious that you two are connected. Embrace it!)" Deepak shares this enthusiasm. "Aur pahala kadam uthaane ke liye dance party se behatar jagah kya ho sakati hai(And what better place to take the first step than a dance party?)" Edward gave in, recognizing the wisdom of his friends' advice. It was more than simply a dance; it was a chance to learn more about Anna and explore the possibilities of their relationship. "Theek hai, aap jeet gaye. Main ek suit dhoondhoonga aur dance party ke liye taiyaar ho jaoonga. Kaun jaanata hai, shaayad yah sachamuch kisi adbhut cheez ki shuruaat hai(Okay, you won. I'll look for a suit and get ready for the dance party. Who knows, perhaps this is the start of something really amazing.)" Edward headed out to get ready for the dance party with the help of his pals, full of anticipation and enthusiasm. The sodden afternoon had opened up into a bright evening. Anna was even more excited by the opulence of the magnificent hall as she waited impatiently for Edward to arrive. She'd picked out a gorgeous yellow dress that suited her bright attitude. She couldn't contain her joy when Edward eventually made his way into the hall.
"Edward, you've made it! You look fantastic!" Edward turns red. "Anna, tum bahut hi khoobasoorat lag rahi ho. Mujhe sachamuch khushi hai ki aapane mujhe date par jaane ke liye aamantrit kiya(you look beautiful. I'm really happy that you invited me to go on a date.)"
Tony, a man claiming to be Anna's date, abruptly showed in and interrupted their conversation. Anna's expression sank as she knew she had to get away from Tony's unwanted presence. "Edward, meri madad kare. Tony mujhase chipakane ki koshish kar raha hai. Main usase door jaane ki koshish kar raha hoon. Kya aap shaam ko meri date ke roop mein bitaana chaahenge(please help me. Tony's trying to cling on to me. I'm trying to get away from him. Would you mind spending the evening as my date?)" Edward moved forward to help Anna without hesitation, his eyes protective. Edward abruptly kicked out Tony in the middle of the altercation, but the poor uncle behind him took the surprise hit and was knocked down. With an audible squish, Tony took a seat behind a table, much to the surprise of the party guests and Tony who had been startled by the cake-covered chair. "Abhi kya hua(What just happened?)" Edward and Anna fled to the dance floor while Tony struggled to understand his tricky situation. They danced and twirled to the upbeat disco music, embracing the freedom of the night. "Hum usase chutakaara paane mein saphal rahe, Anna. Aaie milakar aaj ki raat ko yaadagaar banae(We succeeded in getting rid of him, Anna. Together, let's make tonight one to remember.)" Anna was overjoyed. "Edward, I couldn't agree more. Let's have a wild dance party!" Despite Tony's unplanned intervention, their laughing and joyful dancing lit up the room, making it a night to remember. With each step on the dance floor, Edward and Anna's bond grew closer, and the adventure had only intensified the excitement of their evening.

There was still music and laughter in the air when Edward and Anna exited the dance party. Walking together, Anna laughed about the hilarious incident involving Tony and the cake-covered floor. "Edward, main vishvaas nahi kar sakata ki sachamuch aisa hua. Yah bahut hi romaanchak shaam thi(I can't believe that really happened. It was a very exciting evening!)" Edward looks back with a smile. "Bina kisi sandeh ke, Anna, yah tha. Main bas itana kah sakata hoon ki mujhe raahat hai ki nrty bina kisi baadha ke sampann hua(Without a doubt, Anna, it was. All I can say is that I'm relieved the dance was interrupted-free.)" With appreciation in her eyes, Anna turned to Edward as they arrived at the hostel's entrance. "Main Edward ko meri date par aane aur Tony ki samasya se nipatane ke liey dhanyavaad dena chaahata hoon. Aaj raat mere liye bahut achcha samay tha(I want to thank you Edward for being my date and for dealing with Tony's problem. Tonight was a great time for me.)" Edward was a kind man. "Anna, you're welcome.Mujhe khushi hai ki main aapaka samarthan kar saka. Yah ek yaadagaar shaam thi(I'm happy I could support you. It was an evening to remember.)" Edward had to ask a private question because he was curious about Anna's preferences. "Anna, aap apane jeevan mein kis tarah ke aadami ki talaash mein hai(what kind of man are you looking for in your life?)" In response, Anna says, "Main eemaanadaari, parishram aur vishvasaneey naukari pradaata ko mahatv deta hoon. Main un visheshataon ko mahatvapoorn maanata hoon(I value honesty, diligence, and a reliable job provider. I find those attributes to be significant.)" Edward heeded her advice, realizing that he had to adjust his life if he was to pursue a deeper connection with Anna. He could be the kind of man she was searching for, and he was eager to prove it to her. As the days went by, Edward put in endless hours at work and tried his hardest to be the best version of himself for Anna. But one evening, Edward cut Anna off midsentence as she was trying to express something crucial to him. "I am sorry but I'm pretty busy right now, Anna. Kya hum is par baad mein charcha kar sakate hai(Can we discuss this at a later time?)" Anna felt her comments were not heard, and her expression slumped. Although she appreciated Edward's dedication and hard work, she had hoped for more respect and support. "Beshak, Edward. Baad mein hum charcha kar sakate hai(Of course, Edward. Later, we can discuss.)" The problem of striking a balance between their distinct goals and their developing relationship became evident, leaving them both feeling conflicted about the moment.
