The Last Goodbye
As Anna was going about her daily chores, a soft and ethereal presence filled the room. She felt a familiar warmth, a loving embrace that transcended the boundaries of the physical world.
Edward, her late husband, manifested before her, a gentle smile lighting up his face. Anna's heart skipped a beat as a mix of joy and sorrow overwhelmed her.
Edward: (smiling) Anna, mere pyaar, tum har din aur adhik sundar dikhti ho(my love, you look more beautiful every day.)
Anna: (teary-eyed) Edward, kya yeh sach much tum ho(is that really you?)
Edward: (nodding) Haan, Anna. Main aapse milane aaya hoon, apani pyaari patni ke saath kuch pal bitaane aaya hoon(Yes, Anna. I've come to see you, to share a moment with my beloved wife.)
Anna's eyes glistened with tears as she reached out to touch his translucent form. The room seemed to glow with a soft, otherworldly light.
Anna: (whispering) I've missed you so much.
Edward: (softly) Aur main har kadam par tum par nazar rakh raha hoon. Aapane jo taqat dikhayi hai us par mujhe garv hai(And I've been watching over you, every step of the way. I'm proud of the strength you've shown.)
Anna: (smiling through tears) Dev mera khyaal rakh raha hai(Dev has been taking care of me.)
Edward: (genuine joy) Main jaanta hoon, aur main abhaari hoon. Vah mere dwara chode gae sthaanon ko bhar raha hai(I know, and I'm grateful. He's filling in the spaces I left behind.)
Anna: (shaking her head) Nahi, Edward. Vah aapaki jagah nahi le raha hai. Vah mujhe apane tareeke se pyaar karata hai(No, Edward. He's not replacing you. He loves me in his own way.)
Edward: (nodding) Mujhe pata hai, Anna. Maine aap dono ke beech pyaar dekha hai aur yah meri aatma ko chhoo jaata ha(iI know, Anna. I've seen the love between you two, and it warms my soul.)
Anna's emotions swirled as she felt a mixture of gratitude and heartache. The bittersweet reality of Edward's visit weighed heavily on her.
Edward: (with a tender smile) Khushi itni tezi se bada ho raha hai. Maine uski yaatra ko upar se dekha hai(Khushi is growing up so fast. I've seen her journey from above.)
Anna: (with a hint of pride) Vah apane Papa ki tarah hi ek khoobsoorat aatma hai(She's a beautiful soul, just like her father.)
Edward: (softening) Main uske liye aur Jhanvi ki kahani ke liye khush hoon. Lekin, Anna, mujhe tumhe kuch batana hai(I'm happy for her and for Jhanvi's story. But, Anna, there's something I need to tell you.)
Anna's eyes widened, sensing a heaviness in Edward's words.
Anna: (anxiously) Yah kya hai, Edi(What is it, Edward?)
Edward: (regretful) Yah aakhri baar hai jab main tumhe dekh paunga. Mujhe apna antim alavida kahane ka mauka diya gaya hai(This is the final time I'll be able to see you. I've been granted this chance to say my last goodbye.)
Anna's heart sank, and she felt a lump forming in her throat.
Anna: (choked) Nahi, Edward, please mujhe dobara mat chodo. Main ise sahan nahi kar sakata(No, Edward, please don't leave me again. I can't bear it.)
Edward: (softly) Anna, mere pyari, tum har cheez mein bahut bahadur rahe ho. Aapako majboot rahane ki jaroorat hai(my love, you've been so brave through everything. You need to stay strong.)
Anna's tears flowed freely as Edward gently wiped them away. The room resonated with a heartbreaking melody as he spoke his final words.
Edward: (whispering) Main tumhe hamesha pyaar karoonga, Anna. Hamaari thaali aur angoothi apane dil ke paas rakhana. Ve hamaari yaadein sanjo kar rakhate hain(I will always love you, Anna. Keep our thali and the ring close to your heart. They hold our memories.)
Anna clutched the thali and the ring, feeling the weight of their shared history. As she looked into Edward's eyes one last time, he pressed a loving kiss on her forehead.
Edward: (softly) Goodbye, meri pyaari Anna. Hamaare punah milane tak(my dearest Anna. Until we meet again.)
And just like that, the room returned to its ordinary state. Anna, left alone, cradled the precious memories and whispered her own goodbye to the love that had touched her soul so profoundly.
Anna stood in front of the mirror, her reflection capturing the journey of a lifetime. The image staring back at her held the essence of the young, vibrant graduate from Sacred Heart College, dreaming of a future filled with dance and joy.
Anna: (whispering) Oh,mere jo sapane the, jo aspirations mere dil mein naach rahi theen(the dreams I had, the aspirations that danced in my heart)
She reminisced about those carefree days when she would lose herself in the rhythm of dance, only to be interrupted by her ever-enthusiastic mother, Agnes.
Agnes: (in a flashback, cheerfully) Anna, aapaka nach bahut ho gaya! Aapako ek upayukt saathi dhoondne par dhyaan kendrit karane ki aavashyakata hai(enough of your dance! You need to focus on finding a suitable match.)
Anna: (smiling) Mujhe nahi pata tha ki mera nach mujhe do avishwasaniye purushon tak le jaega(Little did I know that my dance would lead me to two incredible men.)
Her reflection transformed, embodying the dorky girl who stumbled through life, navigating love, loss, and unexpected turns.
Anna: (reflectively) Us sanwali ladki se lekar ek aisi mahila tak jisne vibhinn bhoomikaon ke maadhyam se duniya ko dekha hai(From that dorky girl to a woman who has seen the world through various roles.)
As she observed her own reflection, the woman who stood before the mirror had become a daughter, a niece, a woman with dreams and aspirations, a wife twice over, a daughter-in-law in different families, a widow who knew the pain of loss, a sister who cherished bonds, a bahu managing diverse responsibilities, a bhabhi navigating family dynamics, and most importantly, a mother who embraced the joys and challenges of motherhood.
Anna: (smirking) Maine bahut sari bhoomikaen nibhai hain, jinamen se pratyek ne mere vyaktitva ke ek alag pahaloo ko aakar diya hai(I've played so many roles, each shaping a different facet of my personality.)
Her gaze lingered on the mirror, and she spoke with a sense of wisdom and gratitude.
Anna: (reflecting) Jeevan mein un paraton ko kholne, ujaagar karane ka ek tareeka hai jinake baare mein hum kabhi nahi jaanate the(Life has a way of unfolding, revealing layers we never knew existed.)
Anna: (softly) Svapnil aankhon vaali us snaatak se lekar yahaan khadi mahila tak, main ek pal ke liye bhi samjhauta nahi karoonga(From that dreamy-eyed graduate to the woman standing here, I wouldn't trade a single moment.)
As she continued to look at herself, Anna marveled at the resilience she discovered within. She whispered words of gratitude to the mirror, acknowledging the two men who played pivotal roles in shaping her narrative.
Anna: (whispering) Thank you, Dev,meri taakat banane ke liye, aur mere dil mein maujood pyaar ke liye dhanyavaad, Edward(for being my strength, and thank you, Edward, for the love that lingers in my heart.)
