Though he flinches, Rohit stays silent. He knows she's right. After helping her in standing up, they begin making their way away from the lake. But all of a sudden, there's an uproar among police officers along the water. When one of them shouts, the others run to the riverbank. 

Police Officer(Excitedly): Paani mein koi hai! Medics le aao(There's someone in the water! Get the medics!)

Angelina sprints back to the lake, her heart leaping into her throat. Jay is pulled from the depths by the officers; he is barely conscious but still alive. Angelina bursts into disbelief and shoves her way through the crowd to make it to him.

Angelina(Crying): Jay!He bhagavan, Jay(Oh my God, Jay...)

With an uncomfortable cough, Jay opens his eyes. With just a flick of a smile, he turns to face Angelina.

Jay(Hoarsely): Hey...kya tumne mujhe yaad kiya(did you miss me?)

Angelina gives him a tight hug while laughing through her tears. She doesn't give any attention about the chaos or bystanders around them. Jay's life is the only thing that matters.

Angelina(Whispering): Mujhe laga ki maine tumhe kho diya... mujhe laga ki tum chale gae(I thought I lost you... I thought you were gone...)

Jay(Softly): Mujhe chutkara paane mein isase bhi adhik samay lagega(It'll take more than that to get rid of me...)

Jay later lies in a bed at the hospital, healing from his wounds. Holding his hand, Angelina sits by his side. She is scared that if she lets go, he will disappear once more, so she won't let go. Jay glances at her, admiration and affection shining in his eyes.

Jay(Gently): Angelina... thank you. For everything.

Angelina(Tearfully): Mujhe dhanyavaad mat do. Bas mujhse wada karo ki tum rukoge. Mujhase vaada karo tum phir kabhi nahi jaoge(Don't thank me. Just promise me you'll stay. Promise me you'll never leave again.)

Jay squeezes her hand, his gaze unwavering.

Jay(Confused): Kya - kya hua? Main jheel mein kyon phans gaya tha(What... What happened? Why was I stuck in the lake?)

Rohit: Aap bomb se hue visphot mein phans gaye the. Lekin kisi tarah aap bach nikalne mein kamyab rahe. Yah kisi chamatkar se kam nahi hai(You were caught in the blast from the bomb. But somehow, you managed to survive. It's nothing short of a miracle.)

Angelina(Smiling tearfully): Hum tumhare baare mein bahut chintit the, Jay. Lekin ab aap yahan hain. Yahi baat maayane rakhte hai(We were so worried about you, Jay. But you're here now. That's all that matters.)

Jay(Trying to sit up): Kahaan... hum kahaan hain(Where... Where are we?)

Ajay: Hum hospital mein hain,Jay. Aap kuch samay se bahar hain(We're at the hospital, Jay. You've been out for a while.)

Angelina(Handing him a glass of water): Lo, ye pee lo. Aap behtar mehsoos karenge(Here, drink this. You'll feel better.)

Jay(Taking a sip): Thanks.

Rohit: Jay,humein aapako kuch batana hai. Kuch mahatvapurn(there's something we need to tell you. Something important.)

Jay: Yah kya hai(What is it?)

Ajay: Aapako yaad hai jab hamen aapake paarivaarik itihas ke baare mein pata chala tha(You remember when we found out about your family history?)

Rohit: Aapake mata-pita alag-alag prshthabhoomi se the. Aapke Papa Pakistani Muslim the aur aapka maan Hindustani thi(Your parents were from different backgrounds. Your father was Pakistani Muslim, and your mother was Hindustani.)

Jay(Surprised): Mujhe nahi pata tha(I never knew that.)

Angelina: Yah sach hai, Jay. Aur yah aap ko dono sanskrtiyon ka hissa banaata hai. Aap sirf bhaarateey ya Pakistani nahi hain. Tum dono ho(It's true, Jay. And that makes you a part of both cultures. You're not just Indian or Pakistani. You're both.)

Jay: (Taking it in) Main... mujhe nahi pata ki kya kahoon(I... I don't know what to say.)

Ajay: Tumhe kuch bhi kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai, Jay. Bas yah jaan len ki aapaka yahaan ek parivaar hai. Hum sabhi ek saath is mein kar rahe hain(You don't have to say anything, Jay. Just know that you have a family here. We're all in this together.)

Angelina(Squeezing his hand): Hum aapke liye yahaan hain, Jay. Humesha(We're here for you, Jay. Always.)

Jay(Feeling overwhelmed): Thank you... Thank you all of you.

Rohit(Smiling): Parivaar isi ke liye hai(That's what family is for.)

Angelina(Nodding): Hum parivaar hain, Jay. Aur kuch bhi ise kabhi nahi badalega(We're family, Jay. And nothing will ever change that.)

Jay(With a newfound sense of belonging): Mujhe vah sunakar behad khushi hui(I'm glad to hear that.)

Jay has a strong sense of resolve as he approaches the front door of Angelina's family home. He is aware that winning her family over is important to their future together as well as to Angelina.

Jay(Taking a deep breath:  Here goes nothing.
