War Of Love

Ever since the day, Lan Wangji has been visiting the Celestial Mountain as often as he possibly can. While Wu Ming had the advantage of spending more time with Wei Ying in his absence, Lan Wangji had the advantage of being the closer one to Wei Ying when he was present.

"Wangji, where have you been wandering since so many days now? You are always in a hurry to finish your work and leave for somewhere, not returning till the last minute of the curfew. Is there any problem?" Lan Xichen asked one day, concerned.

Lan Wangji did not have any answer. He knew sooner or later he would have to talk about this with his brother or uncle. But he had gotten so busy in trying to defeat Wu Ming that he had forgotten about his responsibilities. "It's a personal matter, brother. I do not wish to discuss."

Lan Xichen sighed. "Wangji, i have come across a rumor that you been meeting with a lover. I know, it may not be true. But if it is, you don't need to hurry yet. I know you are mourning over Wei Gongzi's demise, but this is not how you should cope with it. At least, i hope you have not associated with a bad influence,... again."

Wangji tightened his fists. "Brother, Wei Ying was never a bad influence on me, would never be. You, of all, know it well."

Lan Xichen gave him an apologetic glance. "I hadn't meant it in that way, Wangji. Forgive me. I am just really concerned with you. You have been very unusually moody these days. It concerns me who you are accompanying."

There is a long pause.

Lan Xichen spoke again, "Wangji, it couldn't be that ... That you have found Wei Gongzi, dead or alive, somewhere, is it?"

Lan Wangji never told anybody what happened with Wei Ying. All the sects presumed that the Yiling Laozu had either died, or hidden somewhere pathetic. All the humane habitats were searched up for him, but he was no where found. And Lan Wangji did not dare say a word. A lot of suspicions were raised on him, and it took time to clear those. That was the main reason why he was unable to visit Wei Wuxian in the three months. Any wrong act could get him caught, and get Wei Wuxian and Grandmaster Baoshan's whole celestial mountain in danger.

"Whatever i am doing, Xiongzhang, i promise,it would not be a distress to Lan Sect or the Cloud recesses." Lan Wangji replies.

"Uncle is not going to be quite happy about this, you leaving to go somewhere whenever you get the chance." Lan Xichen said at last, before leaving. He was true, and Lan Wangji knew it. He sighed.

It's the best if he doesn't get going to visit Wei Wuxian that day.

However, desperation took the best of him the next day, when he picked up his sword and left for the celestial mountains early afternoon, once his class were done teaching. Wei Wuxian did not mind him not coming for one day, so it was fine.

When he reached, he did not meet with Wei Wuxian soon. He had learnt from a disciple that Wei Wuxian had gone to the back hill meadows with a few other disciples. And Lan Wangji knew, Wu Ming was with him. So he hurried to where he was told the location of the meadows.

He scanned the place with his eyes alone, trying to find Wei Wuxian in the huge grass pasture. His eyes laid on the wanted man, who was too close with another man for Lan Wangji to be anything comfortable.

Lan Wangji could not see what they were doing, because they had their back facing him, but it appeared Wei Wuxian was doing something, and Wu Ming was embracing him from the back. Many other young disciples surrounding them. The very angry man, Lan Wangji, strutted towards them, creased eyebrows and displeased mind.

"Wei Ying." He greeted. Up close, he could see that they were making flower chains. Still, there was no reason for Wu Ming to get this close.

"Ah, Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian gleefully called. "Come here, Wu Ming was teaching me how to make flower tiaras! Come, you should join us."

"Yes, Lan-Er Gongzi. You should join." Wu Ming teased in a forced tone.

Lan Wangji held his urge to murder Wu Ming with his bare eyes and sat down on the soft grass beside Wei Wuxian. "I have never made one." He stated.

"Aiya, no worry. I'll tell you what Wu Ming taught me. Even I am making this for the first time." Wei Wuxian smiled as he passed Lan Wangji a bunch of his flowers. "See, you just make a small hole in the center with a needle, and then pass the vine twig through it. Don't break the flowers while doing it." And he explained by holding Lan Wangji's hands and demonstrating the actions.

Lan Wangji immediately felt red in the ears and neck, having Wei Wuxian's soft, warm hands over his cold calloused ones. But Wei Wuxian soon took off his hand, as he continued making his own tiara. All the three of them got to work making the tiara. Another unsaid competition had begun between Lan Zhan and Wu Ming for who makes the better tiara for Wei Wuxian.

"Hey, look! I'm done! This is so pretty!" Wei Wuxian said, as he complete the flower crown. By that time, Wu Ming and Lan Wangji were done as well.

"For Wei Ying." Lan Wangji claimed his spot first, placing the beautiful flower tiara on top of Wei Wuxian's head. The latter giggled.

"Lan Zhan, i would have put this on you, but i need to give this one to Wu Ming, because he taught me, you know." Wei Wuxian laughed as he placed his tiara on top of Wu Ming's head. Wu Ming wordlessly placed his made tiara on top of Wei Wuxian. Other disciples around them also started placing their tiara on their friends and lovers.

And he smiled. Wei Ying smiled. Until he realised, almost everyone had a tiara but Lan Zhan. "Oh, Lan Zhan... No one gave you a tiara?" He pouted. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine, don't worry." Lan Wangji said. Even though he was jealous, he didn't say it because he couldn't upset Wei Wuxian.

As the sun started setting, Lady Cangse came to call all disciples for dinner. "Lan Zhan, Wu Ming, you take others back, i will follow soon." And so, they did. All the disciples were now gathered together at the diner hall with Lan Wangji and Wu Ming.

"In the end, Ying-Ge gave his tiara to me." Wu Ming said with pride.

"He said he would've given it to me, if it weren't for you to be the teacher." Lan Wangji argued with envy, air-quoting

"Yeah, whatever. You know he said it just because he has a good heart and didn't want you to sulk like a little baby." Wu Ming sighed dreamily. "Isn't he just so good as a person?"

"It's bold of you to think he would have given it to you if you weren't the one to teach him." Lan Wangji persisted, just as childishly.

"Well, i still wouldn't have been the loner like you are. Everyone else got a tiara, Wei Wuxian got three, i got two. You wouldn't even get one." Wu Ming teased. Their fights have always been childish. Their arguments never made sense. Still, it was important for both of them to be the better alpha male, and put down the other as a plain beta male.

Lan Wangji sighed annoyed. "Where is Wei Ying, anyway? I must bid my farewell, the sun is about to set."

Wu Ming raised a brow. "Wasn't he with you?"

Lan Wangji, "I thought he was with you?"

That's when both the one-sided lovers realised that Wei Ying was still in the meadows, all alone. They both hurried to save Wei Ying, from what really was probably the safest and most comfortable land. As they got near, they found Wei Wuxian coming back himself, a smile on his face, hands behind his back.

"Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan!" He said, as he came nearer and stood in front of them. "I was worried you'd be sad that no one gave you a tiara. So I waited and made one more for you. Here!"

Wei Wuxian placed a flower tiara on Lan Wangji's crown, and giggled. "Lan Zhan, you look so pretty wearing it! You look good in everything, you know. Sometimes i envy you! You look like a prince of flowers! Hehe."

Which was ironic coming from Wei Wuxian, whose beauty was better than the combined beauty of a hundred angels and another hundred princes. Lan Wangji hoped that the orange sun light reflecting on his face hid it's red blush, because he would be so embarassed otherwise. And he tried his best to not grab Wei Wuxian right their and place a kiss over that heaven-blessed cherry smile.

"Thank you, Wei Ying."

Ayo hi babes! I hope you and your mom/s are all doing good.

There might be quite some grammatical mistakes in this chpt since I have written it on a laptop w/o grammer correcter. So even though I cleared most while checking, forgive me if I missed a few.
