Wei Wuxian has been getting frequently sick lately. Well, not to sick enough to be concerned if he were still living in the Burial Mounds. But now that he lives with his parents, they make everything sound very sick.

His symptoms mostly included frequent nausea, morning fever, fatigue, swollen face and hands. Lady Cangse had took upon a beef with all ladies who have ever worked in the kitchen that they must did something wrong which made her son so sick suddenly.

"Cangse, why are you so unreasonable! If it was the food, all of us should have gotten sick, we eat the same food." One of them reasoned angrily.

"Well, I don't know, maybe you put something specially in my son's food, BITCH!" Cangse yelled, only held back by her son and husband.

The lady gasped, hand over her chest. "You dare to accuse me of poisoning our A-Ying? Why would I even do that!? Your son drinks a lot of alcohol too, it could be because of that!"

Wei Changze sighed, then started. "I apologise for the disturbance, Baoshan-ma. Ying-Er has been getting a little sick lately, so Cangse got overwhelmed and started blaming these innocent maidens who cook the food usually. Hence, this cat-fight."

Lady Baoshan sighed. "Cangse, i understand you are united with your son after years and still see him as an infant. But he is an adult now, he can handle some of his problems. You cannot go accusing everyone every time he gets a little sick. Do not worry, let me handle him. Come with me, A-Ying, we'll have you checked."

And immortal Baoshan did. She checked Wei Wuxian with every possible disease that could cause him to be unwell for these many days ─ ten days to be precise. She creased her eyebrows when she couldn't find anything. It was not typhoid or dysentey. Nor any bacterial or viral fever.

After a few more blood and urine tests, Baoshan finally came on a conclusion. A very... unusual conclusion.

"Wei Wuxian is with a child."

"What?"

"What!?"

"WHATT!?"

Wei Changze, Lady Cangse and Wei Wuxian, all three exclaimed. "What do you mean I am with a child!? Like pregnant?"

"Well, yes. You see ─"

"NOPE! HOLD IT! I am a downright boy! I mean MAN! Through out my body! And I have a good big man part to prove it! Your diagnosis is wrong, sorry ma'am, you failed as a doctor today. Not possible. It is a N to the O. Never. Nah. Not in this life." Wei Wuxian argued.

Baoshan sighed. "Wei Wuxian, listen to me first, won't you? Calm down. I am not calling you a lady or a maiden. Yes you are completely a man, from everywhere. Well, everywhere except your core."

Wei Wuxian creased his brow. "What do you mean?"

"Wei Ying, the golden core grows quite differently in a man and in a woman. A woman's core is structured a little differently than a man's. It is quite more strong and has the ability to increase a woman's feminity. It is especially developed differenly to be able to also carry a child, which is a woman's job."

"My core, as a woman, is of that kind. Now remember when I had transferred a bit of my core to yours? Well, even though that piece of core adapted to a male body as it grew, it still has some specialities as it did in my body. You must have also noticed other changes in you, like wider hips, or smoother hair and a softer voice. Well, if Lan Wangji and you have been sexually active, the core might have caught this a signal to get your body impregnated. Hence, this."

"You are gonna laugh and tell me this was all a joke and it is actually just a viral fever or something, right?"

"Well, I assume it will develope in his golden core." Baoshan said. "Long ago, there was a rumour that cultivator women's children grew in their womb, but it was never affirmed. Maybe, it is true indeed."

Wei Wuxian looked down to his tummy, rubbing it with a pout on his face. "But... What do I do now?" He looked upon it as if it was something very shameful and disgraceful that he had done.

Lady Baoshan chuckled. "Ying-Er, why are you troubled? A woman's best time is when she is with a child. Sure, it can be painful and frustrating sometimes, but it is also very beautiful. Of course, I have medications to drop the child. But I cannot tell you if your core will respond this way again, if you will have this chance again."

"So I should... Keep it?" Wei Wuxian asked, still unsure. "But... How will I take care of a child? I can barely take care of myself. And Lan Zhan is not here all the time, hasn't been here for the last ten days now, in fact. I barely raised A-Yuan properly. Wait, what properly? I still bury him in the ground like sprouted seeds. Baoshan chuckled. "Yes, A-Ying, what your mother said. There is nothing to be scared about. You are, and will be, an excellent parent. Maybe we could wait a few days till Lan Wangji returns, and you can discuss with him. I guess, you'd be more comfortable after he reassures you. And if you really don't want it, as I said, we will be able to drop it."
