Wondering when the wind will wither out harpoons...

That we have stuck in our bodies...

Where the decay slumbers where the sun would call a heart...

That burns like gasoline...

That burns right in between...

That sticks to our sides...

Time after time...

We cuddle in shadows that tell us that everything will be alright...

That everything will fall into play like dominoes...

That it'll grow...

Into Venus flytraps that wait for the right one...

That we can capture and consume...

The moment...

But when lightning strikes on top of our foundation...

Can we call out to each other when we're swimming with hurricanes?
