Chapter 55

Kelso blinked as Sylvester and Tyrell walked passed her and towards the front door. She wasn't expecting the compliment from Sylvester so she blushed bright red and it turned even redder as she looked at the beauty known as Laylian.

"He's right." Laylian said as she stood up when she saw the boys through the window. "You are stunning." Laylian said cheerfully with a smile that was brighter then the sun. Kelso felt a little bit underdressed next to Laylian ,

Kelso was wearing a very light blue dress which went to her knees. There was delicate lace covering her chest leading down to her waist where the skirt flared out, She was wearing blue slip on shoes that were both comfortable to move in and rather pleasant looking. She had a blue hairband in her hair to keep it from flying in her face . She wore no make-up as she wasn't really experienced enough to do something further then lipstick.

"You look beautiful!" Kelso replied with a matching smile "as always-" She said in a sing-song voice. They grasped each others hand and followed after Sylvester and Tyrell after bidding Hazel goodbye. The boys had rounded the corner by now and so were out of sight for the two girls.

Though where they would usually cut through the houses, they kept going and rounded the corner. There was another bus stop here. The fae had planned this so there was very little chance of bumping into each other.

"We haven't been around ehre yet have we?" Kelso asked Laylian as they sat at the bus stop, it was slightly smaller then the one that Tyrell and Sylvester stood at only a short distance away. There was a piece of glass missing front he bus shelter which caused a breeze to blow the girls' loose hairs.

"Well Sylvester and I haven't.." Laylian said as she sat next to Kelso. "We only did a little bit of research on this date..." Kelso felt like that was a disclaimer from Laylian, in case this date turned out badly then it would make sense as there wasn't much time to research where they could go or what they could do. Kelso thought Laylian's sheepish expression was rather cute.

Kelso gave a slight giggle and squeezed Laylian's hand "it's okay, i trust you . And besides - -" Kelso stood up, pulling Laylian with her, Kelso swung her arm around which caused Laylian to duck under her arm in a spin. "Anything with you will be fantastic!" This gesture managed to put a smile on Laylian's face as she spotted the bus behind Kelso.

The bus ride was rather long, they had to change busses at one point at an interchange. This caused Laylian a bit -okay a lot- more anxiety as she knew where the bus stop was for the first bus. However the two fo them were stuck in a building with many many different bus stops.

This lead her to her first mistake of the date. They had gotten onto the wrong bus which took them on a rather long journey , they spent an hour on the bus before it took them back to the interchange . This wasn't such a bad thing as they rather enjoyed looking out of the front window on the second floor of the bus. It almost felt as though there was no glass there.

After the hour of feeling like they were flying through the city they had arrived on the right bus. "Seriously it's okay." Kelso said childishly as she waved their hands back and forth "i had a really fun time! All we needed was a bit more breeze and we were flying through the air!" Laylian seemed to appreciate the comment. The comment felt rather special considering Kelso knew Laylian had always wanted to fly.

"Well yes i do enjoy that concept of flying!" Laylian laughed happily as Kelso made a mental note to take the fae to a theme park, or just Laylian, she was having fun with Laylian on this date. The twins would need to have a talk with the two fae and discuss what should be group outings and what should be classed as dates. They had their entire lifetimes to decide.

What Laylian had planned was not really Kelso's ideal cup of tea. The idea was to go shopping for something special. Though Laylian made sure that Kelso didn't know what it was in the form of a blindfold, or an eye mask used for sleeping, Kelso wondered when she would be able to use her camera, there had been plenty of opportunities to use her camera on the bus -which she took advantage of- but she had a feeling it wasnt' why Laylian had asked her to bring it.

Laylian's plan was revealed after another long bus journey, it took them about another hour from the shopping centre to get to their next destination. The two of them were so engrossed in a conversation hat Kelso didn't notice when they had actually arrived, It was getting rather late but it was perfect for the event that Laylian had planned.

They didn't have much to eat during the day as they only stopped at a bakery at the shopping centre , each getting a pasty and a warm drink before going on their way. This was rather good for Laylian as before she left she had asked Hazel to prepare a picnic, something that would not go bad if you hadn't taken it straight from the fridge.

Kelso stopped and looked around as she turned away from Laylian that seemed to be for the first time in around half an hour. "I-uh...when did we get to the beach?" Kelso said as she looked around wildly .

"Around ten minutes ago silly!" Laylian replied, finding her joy in Kelso's joy. Kelso took her shoes off and wiggled her toes in the sand, spinning around a few times and laughing. Laylian had laid down a beach towel and had placed her shoes and bag down . They had a few moments by the water , splashing each other and having fun .

They returned to their things and started to nibble on the picnic. When the sun started to set Kelso took out her camera and started to take pictures of the sunset. Of course she asked Laylian to be a model in some of the pictures. Laylian agreed with the condition hat Kelso also modeled in some of the pictures. Kelso had to teach Laylian how to use her camera but she adapted to it quickly.

The busride home was dark and long, they hurried to run home before it get dangerously dark , though they didn't think they lived in a bad street, the were afraid of Hazel's wrath in case they got home when it was too dark.

That night they shared the pictures with the boys and talked about their days. They had school tomorrow and had some last minute homework to do . Though this didn't put an end to their happy mood. For once int he fae's life they felt like normal people, they felt human.

This was also a special occasion for the twins,They had moved from place to place most of their lives but today they had their first dates. They had grown connections and buried roots very deeply now. They didn't want anything to change what was happening at that very moment. The fear and stress from the prophecy was forgotten for that day. But only for that day.

Well....it's the end of book 1 at least! I really appreciate your support throughout this book! It has been fantastic building this world and i cannot wait to continue the adventures between the dimensions.
