A lone man was walking through a field filled with corpses of men with high-tech armor. He swung his sword and flung the blood off of it before sheathing it and pulling out a photo of a kid and a girl playing together with the words "Jack and Lily, brother and sister forever" written on it.

"I will never forgive them," he said. "This order has taken everything from me."

You looked up and saw several New Order trucks stopping and releasing soldiers. Suddenly, a woman appears and started killing them.

You charged in at high speed and sliced through a good amount of them. The soldiers fired at yourself and the girl, but you managed to dodge the bullets while the girl ran through some of them and swung her sword, killing them.

You then unleashed a burst that pushed several soldiers back and sliced them apart. The remaining soldiers group together and shoot you, but you cut through their bullets and the girl decapitated them.

Pointing your blades at each other, the girl asks "Friend or Foe?"

"Depends on what you think," you responded, "Or whether you're with the New Order."

After a minute, she lowered her sword.

"So you're against them as well?" she asked. "Good to hear."

"Who are you?" you asked.

"My name is Akame," she responded. "I help the Rebellion, in my own way."

"You can call me Jack."

Akame: "Jack. Okay. Is that your real name or...?"

"Better to see if you can be trusted. The New Order has their hand in a lot of things."

Akame: "I respect that. Well, if you need to know where the nearest hidden settlement is, I can show ya."

You thought about the question for a second and looked at your arm, which has metal grafted into its skin.

"Yeah. I could use a clean mattress to sleep on."

Akame: "Then follow me, and try to keep up. Sandstorm will be here soon."

"Never underestimate me."

You and Akame ran through the desert and eventually came to the settlement Akame talked about. The sandstorm came, and the settlement's gates close.

"You weren't lying."

Akame: "Nope. Come on. I'll show you the base the Rebellion uses. Certain individuals get special treatment depending on how you perform against the New Order."

"I'm not picky about what I do, but I'll consider it. Thanks."

Akame: "Don't mention it."
