"Hey, Olivia!!! We are just going to a mall. Why are you doing all those useless makeovers?" I sighed impatiently, tapping my right foot. " You never know. What if I come across a boy and we fall in love..." she said dreamily.

"Oh please. First, if someone falls in love with you, then he will love the real you. Second, no one will ever fall in love with you. Third, didn't we decide to stay away from guys? " I ranted, crossing my arms.

"Yeah...but why? Why do you want to stay single as a dollar?" she threw her hands in the air. "Why bring in someone else to ruin your life when you're perfectly capable of ruining it on your own?!!!" I copied the way she threw her hands in a bit more exaggerated way that I ended up hitting my left hand on the door. "Ouch!!!" I yelled in pain. "You didn't have to do that," Olivia said pathetically, failing to show a bit of pity. "Whatever!!!" I mumbled and dragged her out of the room right onto the streets.

We walked silently as I tried to look over my shoulders to see Olivia. I could see her making faces but she looked cute. "Walk fast, you're lagging," I remarked as I pretended to turn my gaze from the beautiful lighting towards her face. She smirked and before I could realize anything, she sprinted towards the mall. She was indeed a good runner. I took quick steps and when I reached the destination, she laughed while eating a cone of chocolate ice cream.

"Now who's late?" she chimed as she made her eyebrows dance on her broad forehead. Her forehead was really broad, broad enough for a plane to make a swift landing. I chuckled as these thoughts flashed across my mind.

"Laughing at yourself, eh?" she inquired, rubbing the tissue paper around her lips. "Of course, not. I was just thinking of making a plane land on your forehead. Or!! Or!!! Building a highway on it. What do ya think?" I rejoiced as she started making faces again. " Fine!! Let's go" she dictated in a rather irritated voice.

It was so much fun. We shopped, ate, shopped, and ate again. We were not in a state to walk anymore. It felt like we had filled ourselves till our neck. Then we decided to book a cab. Even though we didn't want to spend any more money, we were helpless. We were about to leave when Olivia exclaimed " Oh shit!!!! One bag is missing!!!"

My hands slapped my forehead in reflex. "What!! Where did you forget it?" I gasped.

"Maybe in Vintage Styles... I guess... because... err..." she bit her lips as she tried to recall. "Fine.. you can go and check it out. Till you come back, let me just get a look in my favourite shop." I gave a cheeky smile and in return got a "don't know what to do with you" nod from Olivia.

Talking about my favourite shop, Once Upon A Book. The name of the shop in itself was an interesting one. But that big door which stood next to the last rack of books was something else. It was always closed and had a board saying "NO ENTRY". Every time I went there, there were always some noises calling me. I just didn't know what those noises were. I never dared to ask the shopkeeper. I was afraid he would ban me from going there thinking as if I was a mad creature who escaped from a mental hospital.

All the time I tried to get inside it but couldn't since I was always surrounded by either my friends or my mom or dad. This was the chance. So I entered the shop and straight away went to the last rack of books. That shop was famous for its collection of fantasy and mystery books. Starting from Sarah J. Maas to Agatha Christie. Everything was available there. Funny enough, but the last rack contained books of mystery and fantasies. Just beside the door. It was, as if, a well-planned structure of the shop. As I started choosing a book, or it would be fair enough to say, as I pretended to choose my book, I heard those noises again.

This time they felt different. There was a different kind of desperation in the voices which I could not resist. I had decided. I would go inside it and find out. Even if that was all my imagination, even if I would only get broken ladders, torn books, and cartons, I would still go inside it. I kept the book which I held in its respective place and marched towards the door. I was about to turn the doorknob when a silvery voice startled me.

"Hey!!! Maureen Evans???"

"Huh!! Oh my god?!!!" I held my chest for a few moments to calm myself down.

"I am so sorry if I scared you. I didn't mean to." the woman apologized.

"Oh, it is totally fine. Yeah, I am Maureen Evans, and do I know you?" confusion was clearly notable in my voice.

"Oh no I guess. I am Arabella, Arabella Montez." she smiled.

"Montez... are you related to--" but I was cut off mid-sentence.

"Yeah, I am Trevor's sister." She added, "Nice to meet you."

She held her hands forward for me to shake them and I did, hesitatingly. She looked beautiful, especially those eyes. They were ocean blue and were deep. She had a really sweet smile and her accent, huh, I am a sucker for the geordie accent. I had once told Olivia to teach me that accent. She seemed like a good person, far better than Trevor.

"How did you know me?" I asked in a way to start a conversation.

"Oh, Trevor told me about you and even showed me a picture of yours." She reported gesturing to me to have a seat on a couch.

"What did he tell you? I mean we can knock each other down if we are allowed to. I am sorry but I don't like your brother." I blurted out. She giggled at my statement. "Sure, he is kind of annoying but about being sworn enemies... you will find out later." she winked.

"What do you mean?" I didn't know why but I did care a little about what Trevor thought about me.

"I mean-" but she was interrupted.

"Hey, Maureen!!! Come on, it's already late. Let's go." Olivia belted from the entrance of the shop. I turned to look at Arabella as she gestured to me and said " You will find it out later."

I was baffled and during all those happenings I had completely forgotten about that door. I missed that chance.

Both of us, Olivia and I took a cab and returned home. I was all silent that evening and eventually the night.

"Did something happen there? I mean, who was that person to whom you were talking? And why are you silent?" she quaked.

"I am thinking," I responded. "About what?" she again inquired. "About someone" I answered. "About whom?" she begged. "About Trevor," I replied. "What?" she gasped. " I will explain it to you tomorrow. Bye. Good night." I said and pushed her out of my room. I was really confused about all the things Arabella said.
