King Aragorn didn't have much time before the orcs invaded the castle. He already contacted Gandalf to meet with Ariana and Eldarion in the forest of Mirkwood with horses ready for them. He dashed through the white hallways accompanied by fear and panic nearly taking over his body for what would happen to his children. He reached Ariana's room and barged through the door, ran to Ariana's bedside to shake her awake.

"Ariana wake up", King Aragorn said in a whispered panic 

"Father? What's wrong?" Ariana asked groggily unaware of the events about to take place.

"There's no time to explain. Quickly!" he ushered, pulling her out of bed.

Ariana quickly put on some pants and a tunic then followed her father down towards Eldarion's room confused as to what was going on at the moment and worried all at once. Aragorn barged into Eldarion's room and shook him abruptly.

"Eldarion wake up now", Aragorn panicked.

"Father? What's going on?" her brother asked bewilderment written clear in his voice as he obeyed and put on his pants and leather vest.

"Come on, quickly!" Aragorn ushered.

The two siblings followed their father as he ran down the white hallways.

"Father please, what is going on?" Ariana asked worried and confused as they were led to the armory.

"Orcs are surrounding Gondor you and your brother are to meet with Gandalf in Mirkwood and you two are to ride to Rivendell where you'll both be safe," Aragron explained as his children gathered their weapons and armor and mounted their horses.

"But what about you father? Won't you be coming with us?" Ariana asked.

"Not now but soon my dear child," he responded softly, Aragorn took off his ring and gave it to her. 

"Never forget who you are," he whispered softly, looking to her. He finally lifted his gaze to Eldarion and Ariana.

 " I will meet with you as soon as I can, be safe." Tears welded in Ariana's eyes. Aragorn turned to Eldarion with seriousness clouding his face.

"Eldarion promise me you'll keep your sister safe."

"I promise father," Eldarion promised with firmness in his voice.

"Ride! Now!" He smacked the horses on their rears and with a jolt the horses ran into the dark, brisk night.
