Devon wondered if Zethar knew Kira had unlocked her powers. He knew it wasn't possible, especially without that damn necklace but he also knew that Zethar was full of tricks, and couldn't be trusted. He felt like he was going insane.

"Is she your girlfriend ?", A tiny voice that pierced his ears asked.

He looked away from Kira to the human girl. She held his gaze, and bit down too hard on her lips trying to be seductive. He smelt blood immediately, and knew she must have hurt herself.

"No ", he replied. He normally wouldn't, but he wanted something to get his mind off the fact that he would have to kill tonight.

"Oh ", she exclaimed. "Her loss then".

He didn't respond this time, and she spread her legs wide, and lifted the outrageously long white dress they offered to patients in the clinic to her waist, and flashed her uncovered unshaved pussy at him. He wasn't surprised, he had seen worse. He was only surprised she hadn't lauched herself at him already.

When she didn't get whatever reaction she wanted from him, she used the fingers of her right hand to spread her pussy lips, and dragged the index finger of her left up her slit.

He also didn't know why he had just said that, instead of a simple yes. Maybe it was the broken and lost look in her eyes, or the stories her scars and bruises told, he didn't know. But he could also see that deep down, she didn't want him, what she wanted was the moment of bliss, and oblivion that intimacy offered.

"Why don't you want me ?", She mumbled, and thankfully closed her legs, and drew down her dress.

"Because you're too pretty to be used ".

Her cheeks flamed red, and she tucked a strand of her short hair behind her ear.
"Stop lying, and just tell me the truth ".

"I'm not lying ".

She stared into his eyes.

"You're really pretty, and I can also see how strong you are".

Her eyes filled with tears.

"I want you to understand that, and not disrespect yourself because you want a way to forget what ever you've been through".

Just then the door opened, and Evelyn and the doctor walked in. Devon was beyond glad.

The doctor shot Devon a smile, "I haven't seen you in a while Devon, I was starting to miss you ".

And just like that his anger came back, his body tensed, he couldn't wait to see Zethar.

He went straight to the point, he had already wasted too much time. Only God knew how far Rya must have gone now, no matter she was still going to die ... tonight.

"She fainted, treat her ".

"Again ? What happened this time ?", The doctor asked, as he made his way to Kira.

Devon explained everything as briefly as he could.
"I'll check on her later ", Devon said.

"Devon wait I need to talk to you ", Evelyn said, halting him from teleporting.

He didn't have time to wait, but he still did only, because it was Evelyn that asked him to. Apart from Kira, she was the only hunter he truly cared about, and would give his life for.

"What's wrong ?", He asked.

"Ehm ... I .. I'm ... I think that Kira would be fine ", she stammered.

He frowned. Something was up with her he knew. Now he thought of it, she had been avoiding him, and acting wierd for a while maybe because they ... He shook his head, he didn't have time to think about that.

"Is that all you want to tell me ?", He asked.

She nodded. He wasn't convinced, but he didn't have the time to dwell on it.

"Devon take care of your ... ".
But he was already gone before she could complete her sentence.

Evelyn sighed.

Samuel the doctor, stared at Evelyn when Devon left.

"When are you going to tell him?", He asked.

She walked past him to Kira, and placed the back of her palm on her neck. Her body temperature was normal.

"I don't know what you're talking about Sam ", she said, "What herbs are you going to give her ?".

He scoffed, and walked away from her.
"I know you better than anyone else Evelyn. From the first day that demon was brought into this place, I knew you felt something for him ".

Evelyn didn't feel like talking about devon, because she knew exactly where Samuel was going.

"Sam please give the human the herbs, and then get the ones for Kira ", she said, "You haven't even checked to see what exactly is wrong with her ".

Samuel chuckled. Evelyn had a way of getting around subjects she was uncomfortable with, but even though she didn't want to talk about the demon. They had to, before she made a decision she would regret for the rest of her existence.

He cut the herbs for the human, and put them in a small pot to boil.

"Evelyn I see you as my family, and I would tell you exactly what I would tell my younger sister. And that's don't do it. I know you love Devon, just think about how hurt he would be when he finds out you did something like that without telling him".

"This doesn't concern you Sam ".

He smiled, and walked over to her and the hunter that had turned out to be his recently frequent visitor, Kira.

He took Evelyn's hand in his, and he saw her eyes tear up before she walked away from him.

"Just take your time to think about this ", he advised.

Her voice broke, "I have already thought about it Samuel", her voice rose, "Do you think I would come here by this time if I hadn't already thought about it ?! ".

"Evelyn Devon needs to know ", he told her.

The human furrowed her brows, as she listened to the conversation between Evelyn, who she personally thought was the most beautiful hunter she had ever seen, and the doctor.

"Needs to know what Samuel ?! ", Evelyn screamed.

Samuel spoke as calm as he could, "Devon needs to know that you're pregnant with his child Evelyn, and you want to get rid of the pregnancy ".

The human gasped, and clamped a hand over her mouth when Evelyn, and the doctor both turned to her.

"I'm so sorry, I just wasn't expecting to hear that ", She muttered.
