Chapter 6. Kisses and Difference.

Here I am back where it started,

frozen over broken hearted,

chasing.....

My phone ringed. Why is someone calling me at this time?

I checked the time, it was 7:45 in the morning. Ugh.

I checked the name, and BOOM! Aaron.

"Hello?" I replied annoyed.

"Hey, is someone sleeping?" he asked.

I could feel it, he was smirking.

"No, why'd you call?" I asked sternly.

"Oh, I was just asking if you are ready for school today." He said casually.

"And, why would you ask me that?" I asked confused.

"Cause, you hung up my call and- wait, did you not even read my text?" he asked confused.

"Oh, yeah, I remember, I mean, I am sorry for hanging up on you, I was, umm, busy," I finished.

"Someone's lying to me," he said.

Once again, I knew he was smirking.

"No, I am not," I hissed.

"I never said you were. Bye. See you in school." He said.

"Wait, I am-" I could complete and he hung up.

Such a gentleman.

I was pretty scared, maybe he wasn't that bad around me last day but, what prank was he going to pull out, haunted me. Ugh.

I bathed, brushed my teeth and hairs, and made a bun. I wore my outfit, it was a light pink tank top with some floral prints on it and a pair of light blue skinny jeans.

I took my phone, backpack and shoved my finished homework's, into it.

I ran downstairs.

"Good morning sweetie," greeted mum.

"Good morning Mel," greeted dad.

I furrowed my eyebrows; because I sensed that something's going on. Why would they all greet me in such sweet tones first?

Cause, every day I wish them first.

"Good morning Chummy," greeted Jay-Jay, but he was confused too, but he started eating again.

"Good morning mum, dad and Jay-Jay, may I know what's going on?" I smirked.

Why am I smirking? Damn it, Aaron.

"There's something I need to tell you," dad said.

"Actually, we need to tell you," mum piped in.

"Not me," Jay-Jay assured.

"What is it? Tell me already," I demanded.

"Okay, so, yeah, umm," mum stuttered.

"What's going on?" I said sternly.

"Shawniscomingovertoourplacetostayforamonth," dad spoke out.

I made a weird face and asked "What?"

"shall I say something?" Jay-Jay piped in.

"yes, Jay-Jay?" I assured.

"Dad said, Shawn is coming over to our place to stay for a month." Jay-Jay finished.

I was traumatized. I looked at mum and dad and repeated that for three or more times.

"What? Why? Does he not have any house? You know what- I need to go to school. So, bye." I spoke out annoyed.

"Bye Chummy," Jay-Jay piped in.

"Good-Bye, oh wait, are you not going to school today?" I asked him.

"No, mum told me to welcome Shawn once he comes over," he said.

"Fine." I hissed.

"I'll drop you to school," dad insisted.

"Fine." I hissed.

"It's okay honey, only a month," mum assured.

"Fine." I hissed.

"Fine." Mum and dad said in a sync.

"Fine." I hissed again.

"Yeah, girl. Fine, let's go," dad dragged me outside the house.

"Honey, look, I know you don't like him much, but you last met him 5 years back. How can be sure he's still that annoying?" dad asked.

"I don't know, why is he coming anyways?" I asked.

"He is coming cause, they are going to stay here unless they find a house here," dad said.

"Why do they need to find a house here?" I asked.

"I don't know, but they are going to stay here," he said.

"But-" I spoke but dad cut me off.

"No more questions, I don't think he is annoying anymore. Be happy honey. If you don't like him, don't bother him." He suggested.

"Okay, I'll try my best not to cut his stomach with a dagger and feed his intestines to the dog," I said annoyed.

"That's not the way-" he was going to teach me good habits, but I cut him off.

"Dad, I was just kidding. I promise to behave well around him. Tell mum about that. And, tell mum that I want pancakes with chocolate chips, in return," I replied casually.

"Okay, I'll tell her, anyways, school's here," he said.

I jumped off the car and said "bye, dad."

"Love you sweet-heart," dad said and smiled.

"Love you too," I smiled back.

I went inside the school building and went straight to my locker.

I found the locker next to my, having a big dent. What happened to that? I opened my locker and started sorting my books.

"Hey," Devan greeted.

"Hi, I was wondering what's wrong with this locker?" I asked him.

"Oh, it's just the canteen guy punched it," Devan said casually.

"Why would someone punch a locker?" I asked confused, still putting the things in and out of my backpack.

"Actually, the scene was like, locker, then a guy and then the canteen guy, so when he punched the other guy, his head dashed into the locker and caused this dent." He said casually.

"Why would he do that?" I asked, feeling bad for the guy's head.

"What else do you expect from a 'bad-boy' Mel?" he asked casually.

"I don't know. Okay, you have history class right?" I asked.

"Yes, you?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

"Same. You wait for me in the class, I'll be there, I need to go to the washroom." I said.

He was gone after saying 'okay.' I lied to him.

I took a purple sticky note and wrote:

I know I made you angry. We can solve it too. I had no intention of hanging up on you. I am really sorry for that.

P.S. - I really like my face :)

P.P.S. - I like your face too.

P.P.P.S. - don't punch me please.

M.

And I put that in Aaron's locker, before running off to the class.

The chapter was quite interesting, that I forgot about everything and focused in the class.

After the class was over, Devan told me that he has to go the library and I told him, I'll be the canteen.

I sat in a table, taking two hot dogs, a sprite for me and a coke for Devan. I didn't sit in Aaron's table though.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" someone greeted and asked, there he was. Aaron.

"Ye-" before I could say anything, he was already sitting there.

Gentleman.

Please don't punch me on the face.

I stared at him, waiting for him to say something, he took out the note, that I wrote, off his pocket, and started reading, on his mind and then aloud.

"I know I really love you. We can kiss too. I know this is awkward. But, I really want you. P.S. - I really like my face. P.P.S. - I like you face too. P.P.P.S. -I would like to kiss you.M." he finished, he had a huge smirk all over his face.

I had my mouth wide open, and was unable to say anything. My eyes were huge by the time, with both of my eyebrows raised.

"You totally read that wrong," I yelled quietly (yeah).

"Did I?" he question.

"Yes, you did," I assured.

"Oh," he said raising one of his eyebrows.

"You are a lost case," I assured.

"Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, something I don't know, something I don't know, something I don't know," he sang, the Selena Gomez's song.

"I hate you, did you know that?" I snapped.

"Nobody hates me, I am Aaron Power. So that's impossible," he said with pride in his voice.

"I do, now get out," I ordered, taking a bite of my hot dog.

"This can get worse M," he marked.

"My name isn't M, it's Melissa. Melissa Hayes. And, I am ready to face your worse. Bring it on Aaron Power," I said with confidence.

"Hmm, someone isn't scared," he said.

"I bet, you didn't know that, did you?" I snapped and gave him a fake smile.

"You are different, than others. I would like to hang out with you more," he said getting up from the seat and grabbing the hot dog that I got for Devan.

"Uh-Huh, you wish," I finished.

He gave a look and he was gone.

Well done, Mel.
