Chapter 13. Locker and Aria.
Next day.
I walked through the hallway, straight to my locker. I took my locker key out of my pockets and put it in. The locker didn't open.
I frowned, trying again and again. It just won't open.
I punched the locker frustrated.
"Ow," I squealed, rubbing my hands.
"What are you trying to do girl?"
I turned to find Devan standing behind me.
"This locker won't open. What's wrong with it?" I complained.
"Umm Mel, this isn't your locker, its 260 and yours is 261," he assured.
"What?" I checked the number, "you are right," I finished.
"You punched the poor locker," Devan joked.
"I am sorry dear locker," I said making a puppy face.
"Enough of that, I got to go, see you later" Devan said, and ran away.
"Excuse me, that's my locker," a sweet voice called out.
I turned around and found a girl with a toned body, long straight blonde hairs, and big blue eyes, sharp nose, tall, tanned and moreover beautiful, just as everybody likes.
I just smiled and moved aside.
"I am Aria, and you?" she said opening her locker.
"I am Melissa," I trailed off, "never saw you around."
"because, I never came to school in this session," she said confident.
"You got such a long leave, they approved it?" I asked confused.
"It's the advantage of being the principal's only daughter," she said smirking.
"You are Aria Baldwin?" I asked for confirming.
"Yes, I am the one," she trailed off, "biology class?" she finished.
"Yeah," I finished.
"Let's go together if you don't mind," she offered.
"Sure, I would love to," I said. I really would.
"Don't treat me like an alien, I am just a normal student," she said staring at me.
"You are different, I thought you would be bragging about being the principal's only daughter," I spoke my heart.
"I do brag about it, but not to you," she said.
"Why? Now you are treating me like an alien, I am just a normal student," I said what she said a few seconds ago.
She smiled and said "you are different too, cause if I said that I was the principal's daughter to any fresher, they would flip out, but you didn't, so I like you," she finished.
"So? We can be friends?" I asked.
"Sure," she answered excited.
We both giggled. She was really nice.
"But, trust me I am bitch to everyone in this school, everyone hates me and loves me at the same time. They love me, because they are scared of me, you can say," she spoke.
"That's bad. I don't even understand how can you be so sweet and all bitch-y at the same time?" I asked confused.
She laughed and said "I am the lead cheerleader and every school has this thing, to hate us, I have no idea why." She sighed.
"That's alright. Maybe they are jealous of your post," I said.
"Are you jealous of me?" she asked.
"No way," I said immediately, and gave her a 'seriously' look.
"See, that's my point, why can't everyone be like you? I never want to act like a bitch, but have to," she spoke honestly.
"You know, I'll always love you," I joked, to cheer her up.
"You are awesome. I hope you know that," she said and giggled.
"Nope, I didn't know that," I said making a puppy face.
"Now you know," she smirked.
"Thanks," I said.
"Shut up," she slapped my shoulders.
"Ow," I screamed.
"Shush," she shushed me.
I noticed suddenly that all the people in the hallway were staring at us, as if we jumped off an UFO right now.
"Why are they-" i couldn't complete cause she cut me off.
"Get used to it," she said.
Did she just read my mind? Wow. That's classic.
"How are you?" a random guy asked Aria.
"Better than you," she spat out and kept walking.
"What was that?" I said giggling.
"Answer like a bitch," she said.
"I loved it," I said excited.
"You are crazy," she smirked.

After the school was over, Aria dragged me to the principal's office to make me, meet her dad. The principal of St. Josephs.
Isaac Baldwin.
I entered the room to find a middle aged man, wearing a white shirt and a red tie, paired with a pair of black pants and a classy black-shiny belt. He wasn't blonde like Aria, he has dark brown hairs. He wore a rimless spectacle and a silver chained watch.
"Daddy," Aria said excited and hugged Mr. Isaac.
Mr. Isaac hugged her back and pulled away fast. He stared at me and coughed. I averted my gaze, feeling awkward.
"Daddy, this is my new friend Melissa and Melissa this is.... You know who he is," she introduces throwing her hands in the air.
"Hi Sir," I said, still feeling weird.
"I don't bite," said Mr. Isaac.
What? What the hell?
He was a really nice man behind that rude, strict façade. I loved him. We talked for a few minutes, before Shawn called me.
I dragged Aria to make her meet Shawn. I found him sitting on his jeep's driver seat biting on snickers.
I snatched the snickers and said "how dare you eat them alone? It's mine now."
"disgraceful," he commented.
"Whatever," I said taking a bite of the bar.
After swallowing it, I said "Shawn meet Aria and Aria meet Shawn."
"Hi," Shawn greeted.
"Hey," Aria stated.
"She is the principal's daughter," I trailed off, "don't flip out or else she is going to be a bitch to you," I finished.
They both laughed. And I concentrated on the snickers.
"Finally you have a girl friend, I am so happy for you," Shawn said.
"Shut up," I snapped.
"What does that mean?" Aria asked.
"You are the first girl who is her friend," Shawn explained.
"Really?" she asked confused.
"Yeah, I have three friends and they are all guys, and you are the fourth one and a girl," I explained.
"So, you are choosy about friends?" she asked.
"Y-" I couldn't finish cause Shawn decide to cut me off.
"Veryyyyyy," he sang.
"We should go, catch you later Ari," I waved her off.
"Bye," Ari said to me and Shawn.
"Hey, we can hang out tomorrow?" I suggested.
"Sounds good to me," Ari said.
"Alright," Shawn agreed.
"Okay then, tomorrow after school," I said, before Shawn drove off.

Since Jay-Jay went to the zoo from school, so we didn't have to pick him up.
Mom went to the grocery store; dad was out at work, so it was me and Shawn sitting on the couch.
I put my legs on Shawn's lap and he groaned but, I ignored.
I was flipping through the channels, deciding what to watch.
"I need to tell you something," Shawn spoke up.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"I am moving out," he said.
"You are already out," I assured.
"I am moving in with my family, they are coming tomorrow to take me away," he said.
"Why?" I asked, turning the TV off.
"Because they think I am a burden to your family," he snapped.
"Bullshit," I said.
"I can do nothing to stop them," he sighed.
"Wait, are you sad because you have to move in with your family or are you sad because you have to stay away from me?" I joked, to cheer him up.
"Shut up," he said slapping my legs away.
"Ow," I screeched, "but I still want my answer," I finished.
"I am sad cause I have to move in with my family," he said.
"Is it? Fine, I won't help you," I said.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"I mean, if you said you are going to miss me, I would have tried to stop your parents but, I won't now," I finished and smirked.
"What?" he said shocked.
"And I don't believe in second chances," I said, rising my head up.
"You are kidding I know, you won't leave a chance to joke, will you?" he asked.
"Never. Cheer up now. Be happy. We are going to the same school at least," I said.
"Yeah, it's starting tomorrow," he finished.
"That's good," I said getting up.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"To my room, I'll be back," I said and walked upstairs.
I changed into my comfy clothes. Then I washed my face and feet. Tied a bun and jumped on my bed. I took the pillows and laid down, and called Devan asking 'why he didn't show up after he ran off?'
he said 'he went home because he had some important work.'
I told him about hanging out with us tomorrow, he agreed and promised to tell me what the 'important thing' was.
I called Aaron, his phone was switched off. Great.
Instead I texted 'are you dead Mr. Power?'
I took my notebooks to finish my home-works and sat on my bed instead of desk. *laughs*
Knock. Knock.
"Yes?" I said.
Shawn's head popped in "what's up?"
"You couldn't stay without me, could you?" I smirked.
"Get over yourself," he remarked.
"Whatever," I shrugged.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"Trying to kill you," I said.
"That's illegal, the cops are gonna get you," he said.
"I am just gonna hide under your dead body," I giggled.
"You are impossible," he said, jumping on my bed.
"Thanks for noticing," I said.

After a few hours, I finished my home-works and Shawn helped me, so it was fun.
Mum came back and she brought food for us.
After the treat, pillow fights and chatting... I was tired. I shooed Shawn out of my room and dozed off to sleep.
After a few hours of sleep, mum dragged me downstairs to eat the dinner. Jay-Jay and dad came back already.
I ate my food, without talking to anyone because I was sleepy. I finished my food fast, waved everyone 'bye' and went to slept again.
