Preeta stopped the car in front of her new destination. She moved here, to a new place, to a new city, to a new house.

She sighed missing her own self, her parents, her old house. She started keeping her luggage out.

The curtains moved a bit. Someone looked at her from window.

Preeta felt someone's gaze and looked up. Curtains closed. She saw no one.

Preeta(sighing): U re just nervous Pree...Relax..

She opened the door and entered the house. She smiled lightly.

Preeta: Naya sheher.. Nayi zindagi..

She removed the clothes from furniture. As she was doing so, she felt constant gaze of someone.

Preeta(looking around) : Kon h?

She heard some noise coming from the staircase and went upstairs.

Preeta: Is anybody there?

She remembered her aunt warning her for thiefs and all as she was going to live alone in that whole new house.

She found the door of a room slightly ajar and went inside it. There was nothing just furniture covered with white clothes. She sighed.

Preeta: Yeh room thik h...

She started removing those clothes and kept the unpacked boxes at a corner.

Preeta(looking at the boxes) : Yeh toh main aaj nhi krne wali..

She brought in her luggage to her room and the day passed by with her settling into the house.

Night,

Preeta changed into her comfy pyjamas and ordered food for herself. She slept watching movies in the hall with tv on.

Karan came out of the basement and looked at her sleeping. She was looking so innocent. He switched off the tv and picked her up in his arms.

Karan(in mind) : Such a sleepy head..

He went upstairs and pushed the door of her room (earlier, his room) and placed her gently on the bed.

He covered her with duvet.

He smiled that she didn't wake even after so much noise and movement. May be, she was tired thats why.

He remembered looking at her from the window when she entered the house.

Karan(confused) : Yeh ladki kyu mujhe mehsoos kr leti h? I mean.. Mujhe koi..

Preeta turned side. Karan didn't move and was sitting there only.

Karan: Kher jo bhi ho.. Ab iss akele ghar mein koi toh h mere saath.. I am so happy not to be alone anymore.. Thank u..

He stayed there overnight watching her sitting by her bedside.

Morning

Preeta yawned and woke rubbing her eyes.

Preeta: Good morning world..

She looked at the bedside and felt weird.

Preeta(confused) : Why do I feel koi yaha tha?

She slapped her forehead.

Preeta: Pagal hogyi h tu preeta.. Iss ghar mein tere alava koi nhi h.. Neend mein kuch bhi sochti h..

She got up from her bed and went to get ready for her college.
