I soon made my way back to the Hanshi. It seemed to be quiet but that did not mean anything. I trust Wei Wuxian of course but since he has been healing pretty well, I worry he will do something to halt his progress. When I stepped inside, I heard he was mumbling to himself in the other room. I even saw talisman all over the walls. It made me confused just a little bit.

When I stepped into Wei Wuxian's space, I saw he had scattered parchment and blank talisman everywhere. There were some half done talisman as well but there was only a little bit. I saw him holding a talisman that had been complete but he looked at it as if there was something wrong with it.

"Um, A'Xian...what's going on here?" I asked him.

He looked at me and sent me his heart warming smile, "oh, hi Xichen-Ge. I apologize for the mess...I am working on a talisman or trying to alter one that I currently have...I promise to clean up when I am done."

"I trust you, I was just wondering what you were doing," I said and knelt down on the other side of the desk, across from him, "what are the talisman that you put on the walls?"

"Well, one of them if something happens, it will prevent anything to stain in the Hanshi. Once you remove the talisman, the mess is removed with it, so it looks as if it was never dirty to begin with. The other one...well, as you know, making talisman can be tricky. I wanted to make sure that nothing will happen to the Hanshi. So if I make a mistake and something explodes, it won't take the Hanshi out with the explosion. I figured you'd like to keep your house in tact," he explained.

I sat there staring at him for a minute. I  very grateful that he thought of those things. One, if he makes a mess, he as something to help clean it up. The other, that was what got to me. Yes, I do know the precautions of making talismans. So for him to make sure to protect my place from blowing up, that made me feel a bit better I suppose.

"Ah, ha, Xichen-Ge, I'm sorry if I am scaring you," he said.

"Oh, no it's okay," I said snapping out of my thoughts, "I am grateful that you thought of protecting the place...what are you trying to make anyway."

"Well, I have it made, I just want to try to make alterations to it," he explained, "before my core was transferred, I had to unlink myself from my sword. My sword has a spirit and only sees me as its master, so only I can unsheathe it. If Jiang Cheng had my core, he'd be able to unsheathe it. So I had to unlink my old core from it. It was so it would keep him from finding out the truth.

"Since I have a new core, I had linked my new one to the sword and it sees me again. I used this talisman to help me unlink me from Suibian. So now, I'm trying to figure out how I can get it to unlink the amulet from me. The only problem is, the amulet is linked to me using resentful energy, not spiritual energy. So I if I tried to unlink myself from the amulet, I won't suffer from a backlash and we can destroy it."

"That's actually a good idea," I said, "yes the amulet can be used my anyone, but since you created it, it sees you as the master. So if you want to unlink resentful energy from you, do you need to make that same talisman only using resentful energy and not spiritual energy like the one in your hand?"

He stared at me for a moment. He then blinked and stood up. He come over to my side and huffed me tightly, "Xichen-Ge, you are a genius!" He said happily, "The same incantation but with resentful energy as it's source. You need the energy to remove the energy."

I chuckled and hugged him in return, "once you think you have it, we can try it, but maybe outside at the training grounds...if something happens, it will be there, meaning if you accidentally make a talisman that explodes, it will happen outside," I told him.

He laughed, "okay, we can give it a try," he said, "oh, and check out my energy level since only using the cold spring for one hour. It was my first day with the spring too after getting my new core."

I was curious. It was like he knows that his energy increased but he wants me to to make sure the amount he gained was correct. Checking his energy level, he had gained a good amount. When he first formed his new core, it was that of a child gaining theirs for the first time, which is around the age of seven to nine. But after one hour in the spring, he has improved to a twelve or thirteen year old. Meaning his level is strong enough to get him back to training him with his sword again.

"That's fascinating," I said as a knock came to the door.

"What?" A'Xian asked.

"One moment," I said and answered the door, "good morning Wen Qing."

"Hello Zewu Jun, I was stopping by to bring A'Xian his medicine for today," she said.

"I want you to check something while you are here," I said and let her in.

"What?" She asked.

"Check his energy level. He only used the cold spring once for an hour," I told her and led her to Wei Wuxian.

She looked at me confused but went over to Wei Wuxian. She sighed at his mess but she didn't seem surprised by it, "do you ever work in a neat way?" She asked him.

"This is neat in my opinion," A'Xian told her.

She rolled her eyes and checked his energy levels. She then looked at me quite surprised, "it's fascinating, right?" I asked her.

"It's incredible," she said and looked at Wei Wuxian.

"What?" He asked.

"Your spiritual energy increased so much within an hour, you are at the level where you can start training with a sword again," Wen Qing explained.

"Really?" Wei Wuxian asked, "but how are my injuries? I'm still sure I have some. I am not going to go and work with my sword unless I know I am well enough."

Wen Qing looked at him and looked stunned. She even placed the back of her hand to his forehead, "are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, why?" He asked.

"Since when do you insist on waiting?" She asked.

Wei Wuxian smiled, "I have come a long way. I promised you, Xichen-Ge, and Lan Zhan that I wanted to do this right. I have a new core but I don't want to be reckless and risk doing something at the moment. My core can help me heal better now, yes, but I don't want it to overwork itself because I was being stupid. I am feeling really happy and I am okay with waiting."

Wen Qing and I looked at each other and blinked. We were surprised to hear him say that. Then again, he wanted to try and do better. He can cultivate again and I'm sure he doesn't want to do anything, to risk losing that again. I'm sure he isn't going to give up his core again is Jiang Wanyin was reckless and lost it again. I would stop him anyway. Wen Qing, would probably not even do it again.
