Chapter 10
"Zewu Jun," a disciple by the name, Lan Yulong (Jade Dragon), greeted me at my door.
"Come in," I told him.
Lan Yulong has been a very trustworthy disciple of GusuLan. He was around Wangji's age and he was smart and kind. He knew his orders and he was well attentive in lectures. He likes helping me out with things when I am a bit more caught up with sect duties.
"Zewu Jun," he began.
I held up my hand and placed a privacy barrier over Hanshi, "alright, go on," I said calmly.
"Me and another disciple looked into Qiongqi path. There is a concentration camp there of Wen elders, young women, and farmers. There was even a toddler there. We witnessed Jin Disciples beating them and testing Master Wei's Stygian lure flags on them. I saw Wen Qing and Wen Ning there. Those two looked to be the only cultivators in the Wen group," he explained.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"I even saw some of our own disciples there following Jin Sect orders. Kill the Wens if they do not obey," Lan Yulong explained.
I nodded, "gather a couple disciples and meet me at the gate in an hour. We are going to pay Qiongqi Path a surprise visit. I also want the healers to be on standby. Don't tell them who we are bringing but say we have a group of injured and weak coming and need care."
"Yes Zewu Jun," Lan Yulong said. He left after I removed the barrier.
I then went to go speak with Shufu, "are those Jin disciples out of their minds?" He asked, "and having a child there of all people. We have a large area that is empty and available for them to stay here. If we can get support from the Nie Sect and the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, we may be able to get Jin Guangshan to step down as his excellency...I don't know who decided he was the obvious choice considering he didn't even take part in the Sunshot Campaign. His son did."
"Did you want me to inform Wangji and Wuxian of this?" I asked.
"I will, or should we wait for you to return? Knowing Wei Wuxian, hearing this information won't just sit by and let it go. His spiritual energy is sealed so he can still use resentful energy. I'd rather not risk him harming his body more," Shufu explained.
"Very well," I said, "I shall return soon."
"Bring those Wen Remnants here and we will take care of them," he said.
I bowed and left him. I met up with the disciples at the gate entrance and we left for Qiongqi path.

~*Lan Qiren POV*~
I have always grown to learn about the righteous path. Don't befriend the evil. Don't judge and don't clog your mind with foolish gossip. I was around when Cangse Sanren studied here long ago. She was a beautiful woman and she was also mischievous and rebellious. She didn't like to conform to rules that much and often argued with instructors on the matter. I even went out of my way to hand her in for drinking on the grounds and sneaking around after curfew. She was angry and shaved my beard in revenge.
When I first met her son Wei Wuxian, I had this suspicion he would be the same as her...and he was. He was free spirited and hated rules. He had outrageous questions and theories that one would have a Qi Deviation if he actually pulled those things off...and he did. He mastered a dark energy that no one else has managed to do. I was furious when I found out he can raise puppets and use the resentful energy. I wanted Wangji to be as far away from the boy as possible.
Then, we learned there is more to Wei Wuxian than it may seem. He was abused growing up in Lotus Pier and found it to be normal and a punishment. He went out of his way to give up something so valuable to a cultivator, even if it was his sworn brother, he did just that. He gave up his golden core so his brother can properly run a sect. He gave up his life and his sword for a man who isn't grateful to Wei Wuxian, even in the slightest.
Wei Wuxian was beaten so badly that almost every bone in his body had shattered. His dantian was damaged and then he was thrown into a place not a single person has ever walked out of. He spent three months in the burial mounds...such a horrible place. During that time he learned to play the Dizi and he crafted a tool that is extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. I'm sure he is even afraid of it to some degree. Yet he can't just destroy it or his life will be taken along with it. If we can help him heal, cultivate again, and cleanse him of all the resentful energy, we may be able to properly dispose of the tool.
I was now standing outside of the Jingshi, ready to tell him and Wangji the news of Wen Qing and Wen Ning. I am sure Wei Wuxian feels he has a great debt to those two and I feel he should know what is going on. So I eventually managed to knock on the door so I could speak with my nephew and his potential partner...that I have actually come to respect quite a bit.
