It was night in Beyblade City, Japan and Dani X was standing in front of the Window on the top of X Tower as his long time friend, Raijin Gold was sitting down at a red and black leather couch on the opposite end of the room

Dani: Being at the top feels nice, doesn't it Raijin? Team PenDragon being the 3rd Time Champion?

Raijin smiled as he held up a glass of fruit punch in his hand

Raijin: Took a lot of effort to get to this point, Dani, who knows, maybe you'll get this room suite one day.

Dani turned away from the glass and looked back at his friend, giving a confident smile

Dani: Maybe i will..

Raijin sat down his glass and stood up, removing his fur coat and tossing it aside, revealing a blue and purple jumpsuit

Raijin: If you want to battle then just say that, jeez, you were always bad with words.

Raijin held up his Xtreme Beyblade, CobaltDrake 4-60Flat

Dani: I thought you'd never ask..

Dani grinned as he held up his Xtreme Beyblade, DranSword 3-60Flat

Dani: Who knows, maybe i'll defeat you right here and now! How's that sound?

Raijin: I hate to break it to you, but you have a long way to go before you can defeat me..

The 2 Bladers took positions and the battle started

3 2 1 Go Shoot!!!

The beys were off and both attack type beys charged around the stadium at high speed

Dani: Go for the kill, DranSword!

Raijin: Devour your prey, CobaltDrake!

The 2 beys smashed into each other with a powerful attack and a large surge of energy erupts from the stadium, bolts of electricity surged across the room

Dani: So intense.. CobaltDrake is so powerful!

The 2 beys disengaged and they charged around the stadium at full speed and they were headed for the Stadium's Xtreme Line

Raijin / Dani: Let's go!

The 2 beys hit the Xtreme Line and their speed was off of the charts

Dani / Raijin: Xtreme Dash!

The 2 beys zipped around the stadium and another burst of energy erupts from the arena

Dani grinned with excitement, he had found something to strive for in his journey to the top: Defeat Raijin

---A Few Days Later---

Wren Ono was a young boy who aspired to reach the top of X Tower, he had recently ventured out to Beyblade City to take on the challenges of X Tower

Wren: So this is it, Beyblade City..

Wren looked around and could see kids at stadiums batting everywhere, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his bey

Wren: There it is HellsScythe, X Tower.. i'll make it to the top one of these days, but first i need a team..

Wren looked around and saw all the different bladers battling each other at the stadiums

Wren: There's so many people around here, i wonder if anyone would be willing to battle with me

Wren suddenly heard footsteps behind him and he turned around to see 3 teenage boys behind him, the leader of the group stepped forward

Takuma: I am Takuma Aoki, and we are Team Phalanx, you seem like a good warmup challenge.

Wren: Warm-up?

The other two bladers: Owen and Vincent Okonaka grinned and stepped forward as well, surrounding Wren

Owen: Takuma doesnt lose to anyone.

Vincent: Thats right, Takuma has never lost a battle in his life!

Wren stared at the 3 bladers and reluctantly nodded as held up his Beyblade

Wren: Very well then, i'll take you on, Takuma!

Takuma grinned as he held up his bey, called Stone Mont Blanc 3-80Needle and a evil glint filled his eyes, the 2 bladers stepped up to the stadium

Takuma: Alright kid, let's go!

Wren and Takuma took their positions and the battle began

3 2 1 Go Shoot!!!

The beys were off and BlackRaven took center stage as HellsScythe charged around the stadium at full speed

Wren: Here we go, HellsScythe!

Takuma: Now, Stone Mont Blanc!

HellsScythe attacked its opponent with everything it has but Stone Mont Blanc's Defense was out of this world

Wren: Keep attacking, HellsScythe!

HellsScythe continued attacking and finally, BlackRaven was starting to wobble

Wren: Yes!!

HellsScythe was climbing the slope of the stadium and it was heading for the Xtreme Line

Takuma's eyes widened slightly in anxiety

Takuma: W-What the..!? T-This is..!

The gears on HellsScythe's Taper Bit connected with the gears on the Xtreme Line and it began to accelerate at lightning speed

Wren: Just how the experts do it! Xtreme Dash, finish it!

HellsScythe was charging in and it lands a fierce strike on Stone Mont Blanc but then..

Takuma: Good effort.. you were able to pull off an Xtreme Dash, beginners luck, BlackRaven!

BlackRaven was standing tall as HellsScythe began to wobble from the recoil

Wren: H-HellsScythe!

Takuma: Stone Mont Blanc, Steel Shield!

Stone Mont Blanc's wing clips HellsScythe and sent it flying into the air, dealing an intense amount of damage

Wren: N-No!

HellsScythe flew out of bounds and hit the ground with a loud clang

Takuma: If that's all you got, then you have no chance of making it to the top of X Tower..

Takuma and the rest of his team began to laugh as Wren reached down and picked up his bey

Wren: I'll show you guys..!

The three bladers continued lauging until.. a bright blue flash entered the stadium and zoomed around the stadium

Takuma: W-What the-?!

The bright blue flash was DranSword and it swipes across Stone Mont Blanc, bursting it in a heartbeat

Takuma: What the-?!

A blader jumped down from a nearby ledge and joined them, it was Dani X!

Dani: Did i miss the party fellas?

Takuma and his band of misfits ran off and Wren was left confused, did they know this guy or something..?

Wren: Well you definitely.. showed them..

Wren's eyes nearly bugged out of his head when he realized who was standing in front of him

Wren: Y-You're..!

Dani retrieved his bey from the stadium and looked at Wren with a slight smile

Dani: Those guys, they're always up to no good in this city, my name is Dani X, but i want you to call me Dani.

Wren: I knew it! You're that guy everyone back home talks about, you're that guy with DranSword!

Dani smiled and held up his bey, DranSword and Wren's eyes nearly lit up

Dani: So you've heard of me, guess that makes my introduction short!

Wren: My name is Wren, i recently came here because i want to climb X Tower, but i need a team if i'm going to do so..

Dani: That is true, in order to climb to the top of X Tower, you need to have a team of 3. Luckily for you, i'm starting a team of my own and i'll let you be the 1st member to join!

Wren: Wait, really?!

Dani: Yep, i too want to climb the top of X Tower and beat the team that stands at the top, Team Pendragon..

Wren: Team Pendragon? That's Raijin Gold's team isn't it, he's like the strongest blader in all of Japan!

Dani: Oh i know, i'm good friends with Raijin, his bey is the super powerful CobaltDrake..

Wren remembered seeing Pendragon's title match on TV and remembered Drakes signature Xtreme Dash move!

Wren: You know Raijin Gold? That's incredible, you must know all of his secrets!

Dani: Nah, not really. The guy isn't strong for no reason, his Xtreme Dash is his signature move and it's his most trusted move.. he taught me how to do it effortlessly and just as well as he can.

Wren: You can do an Xtreme Dash thats just like Raijin's? You gotta tell me your secret!

Dani: Well it's close, i'm still working on it, i've got the form down but it's not strong nor as fast as his..

Wren: Still, the way you beat Takuma was incredible, i've never seen a bey go that fast in person before!

Dani: Team Phalanx.. they like to pick on either the weaker teams or single out the weak bladers and destroy their beys.. thankfully, you were one of the lucky ones.

Wren: I guess we should probably move then, they'll probably come back for us eventually.

Wren and Dani fled the area and they headed to a nearby restaurant for some food, they sat down and a waitress soon brought out a mountain of noodles and rice

Wren: I don't get it, my Xtreme Dash earlier seemed perfect, and yet HellsScythe was sent flying..

Dani swallowed his food and looked up at Wren, pointing his chopsticks at him

Dani: Your form was off, you aimed for the Xtreme Line too directly, you hit it too directly, you lose a lot of your momentum.

Wren: I see..

Dani: It's an honest mistake, i made that mistake a lot when i was learning how to do an Xtreme Dash.

They continued to eat quietly and Wren soon broke the silence once again

Wren: Are you sure you want me as your teammate for X Tower, i don't wanna hold you back or anything..

Dani: There's 100 Total Floors on X Tower and Pendragon stands at the top, i need someone that i can count on, that being you Wren.

Wren: But why me in particular and not the thousands of other bladers in the city?

Dani: Despite the fact your Xtreme Dash could use some work, i see potential in you and i think you can seriously improve

Wren: You really think so?

Dani: Yep, you may be a newbie at the moment, but i just know you'll get even stronger..

Wren looked down at his HellsScythe and held it tightly

Wren: We still need a 3rd teammate, where are we going to find our 3rd Blader at in this big city?

Dani: We'll find someone, everyone is making teams to get into X Tower, the 4th Annual Pro League is going to start soon so.. yeah, we need to find someone..

Dani and Wren left the restaurant soon after and they walked down the streets of Beyblade City

Dani: Hey Wren, i just thought of the perfect name for our new team!

Wren: Really, what is it?

Dani: Team Persona! What do you think?

Wren: I like it, it has a nice ring to it.

Soon enough, Takuma Aoki from Team Phalanx stepped into their way and Wren stepped behind Dani

Takuma: Dani X, you may have gotten the jump on me earlier but now i've returned to settle the score!

Dani: Ah so you came alone this time, bad mistake buddy.

Takuma grinned as he held up his Bey, Stone Mont Blanc and Dani held up his DranSword

Takuma: You only beat me because you got the jump on me, now i'm going to crush you this time!

Dani grinned confidently as Takuma grinned down at him

---Later---

Dani and Takuma got set up at a stadium and Dani held up his DranSword with a confident smile

Takuma: Standard B4 Pro League Rules, whoever wins first is the winner, i hope you got the skills from earlier

Dani grinned as he placed his DranSword on his launcher and he looked over at Wren, who looked rather nervous

Dani: Just watch Wren, i'll show the both of you a REAL Xtreme Dash..

The 2 bladers took their position and the battle started

3 2 1 Go Shoot!!!

The beys were off and Stone Mont Blanc took the center, DranSword raced around the stadium at full speed

Takuma: Now BlackRaven, hold down the center, keep DranSword away at all costs!

Dani: I'm afraid you underestimate me..

DranSword climbed the slope of the stadium and it came charging in for the attack

Takuma: I don't think so! Stone Mont Blanc, knock them away with Steel Shield!

Stone Mont Blanc's defenses got the upper hand and DranSword's attack was easily deflected

Takuma: That's not all you got is it?

Dani: Hardly, we're just getting warmed up! Go, DranSword!!

DranSword raced around the stadium at high speed and it was coming back in for another attack

Dani: Show them what we can really do, DranSword!

DranSword unleashed a fierce barrage of attacks on Stone Mont Blanc, its sharp 3 blades scraping across its opponents round and smooth surface

Wren was in awe at what he was seeing, he was truly inspired by Dani's speed and power, he was, in his eyes, the true strongest blader

Wren: That speed.. that power...

Wren looked down at his HellsScythe and clenched it tightly and looked back at the battle

Wren: HellsScythe.. we'll reach those kinds of speeds too, you'll see.. we'll even surpass that of DranSword..

Takuma: Enough fooling around!

BlackRaven was able to counterattack and DranSword was knocked back once again

Takuma: I will not lose to a rookie, not now and not ever!

Takuma let out a gasp as his eyes widened, DranSword was heading right for the Xtreme Line

Takuma: D-Damn it! This isn't good!!

Dani: I'll show you Xtreme power!

The gears on DranSword's Flat Bit made full contact with the gears on the Xtreme Line and then..

Dani: Finish them now, Xtreme Dash!

DranSword immediately started to accelerate at lightning speed and it was only gaining speed from the Xtreme Line

Takuma: Meet their attack! Stone Mont Blanc!

DranSword launches off of the Xtreme Line's exit and slams into BlackRaven with full force and sent it flying into the air

Takuma: I-Impossible..

Glass shattered above the stadium as Stone Mont Blanc hit the ground with a loud clang, ending the battle with an Xtreme Finish

Dani: Well that was fun, wasn't it?

Takuma was shocked as he looked towards the side of the stadium where his bey had landed

Takuma: That's impossible.. i couldn't have lost.. that's not-!

Takuma fell to his knees in shock and despair, he was far too stunned to speak, he couldnt help but watch as Dani and Wren were celebrating

---Later---

Dani and Wren were walking down the street towards a hotel where they could stay at

Wren: Just how long have you been blading if Raijin has taught you to do an Xtreme Dash?

Dani: Quite some time, i had DranSword made by local Beycrafters in the area. Raijin's bey, CobaltDrake is the strongest bey ive ever faced so i asked for a bey to be made to counter its strength.

Wren: How did it go?

Dani: Pretty badly, even with its aggressive design, i still couldn't beat him.. no matter how hard i tried, but one day, i'll get there at the top of X Tower and defeat Raijin!

Wren: Is that the reason why you wanted to form a team with me? To beat Raijin?

Dani: Pendragon is the 3 time reigning champion, anyone lucky enough to make it up there everytime the Pro League starts.. they always lose to Raijin and his team, they are super strong.

Wren thought for a moment as he looked down at his bey, even though beating Pendragon was the main goal, they were the team to beat.. Wren couldnt help but wonder if it was really possible

Wren: That does sound nice..

Dani: You sound doubtful..

Wren: If you've lost to Raijin a bunch and me at my skill level, is it even possible to make it that high?

Dani: If rookie teams are able to make it that high and battle Pendragon even if they lose, id say it's possible.

Wren: I doubt you can call it possible when we aren't even rookie level, we don't even have a 3rd member yet!

Dani and Wren kept walking until they were soon met with a girl who stepped into their path

Dani: Can we help you?

The girl grinned at them and she lifted her arm to reveal a beyblade in her hand

Layla: My name is Layla Akabara, i heard you two were searching for a 3rd member!

Wren: Yeah, how did you know!?

Layla smirked as she flipped her hair back behind her shoulders

Layla: I've been following you around all day, i heard you needed a 3rd team member but i needed to see your strength.

Dani: And why's that?!

Layla: I won't just join any team, if i were to join you guys, i would hope you would at least make it worth my while.

Wren and Dani looked at each other and then looked back at Layla, who was awaiting their response

Dani: You're in, i can promise you won't regret your decision!

Layla: Well i'm glad to hear that, this is my bey, WizardArrow!

WizardArrow was a Right Spinning Stamina Type, it had a 4-80 Ratchet and a Ball Bit, its shape was pretty round and had 2 contact points at the top and bottom

Dani: WizardArrow huh? That's quite the awesome bey you have there!

Wren looked at the bey closely, he'd never seen a bey like this before

Wren: WizardArrow.. it looks like we have a Stamina Type on our hands, looks like it's pretty strong..

Layla: It's getting pretty dark out, if its all the same to you, you all are welcome to stay the night with me!

Dani: That's amazing!

Wren: Dani, what about the hotel?

Dani: Aaaaand cancelled!

Wren deadpanned as he watched Dani cancel the Hotel Reservation and he sighed

Wren: Well i guess we have no choice now, we'll stay with you..

Layla: Wonderful, and not to worry, my butler will be more than happy to serve you all.

Wren: Butler?

---Later---

Dani, Wren and Layla were stood at the front of a massive mansion in the more upper class part of the city

Wren: You know, you failed to mention that you lived in a castle..

Dani: I think it's actually a mansion..

Wren: I know what it is!

Layla: Yeah, i forgot to mention to the both of you that i am rich so.. i hope that isnt an issue.

Dani: No of course not!

The front gate soon opened and the butler of the mansion stepped out to greet them

Alfred: Welcome home Miss Layla, how was your day? I see you brought along some friends.

Layla: The time has finally come Alfred, i'm gonna climb X Tower, i joined these guys!

Alfred: Well, welcome to this fine establishment, i am Sir Alfred but you may call me just Alfred!

Dani: Sweet! We get to have our own butler!

Wren: Layla, do you really live here?

Layla: Yep, i was raised here, my parents are away on important business so its just Alfred taking care of me.

Alfred: Please by all means, make yourselves at home, dinner will be ready shortly.

Dani, Wren and Layla looked at each other with a smile, Team Persona was finally formed
