"Man did we lose 'em? I really hope so because my short legs can't run that fast. What I'd give to be a few inches taller!" Kenta groaned in frustration.
"Wait what? There's a tournament? A beyblade tournament?!" Gingka squealed happily.
"Gosh Gingka, you're always so late to these things. Of course there's another beyblade tournament! We have to battle somewhere ya know?" Kenta scolded.
"Well sor--ry for not knowing every tournament in town! You know, I move around a lot with a sack on my back, so I'm not always caught up on the latest news! My deepest apologies your Majesty, but I have other things besides beyblade to do!" Gingka yelled irritably.
"Oh haha, very funny Gingka. Everyone knows that you're practically married to your bey! Pegasus and you are basically inseparable since you first met! I dub thee husband and bey. You may rip the bride! I'm sorry to interrupt you two, should I leave you two alone?" Kenta taunted relentlessly.
"Shut up Kenta! I said it one time, and you and Madoka won't shut up about it! You and Sagetterio aren't any better, so don't you go mocking me! Talking about some 'Right Sagetterio ol' buddy?', as if you don't talk to your bey! So, forget about my fake bride, and tell me what kinda tournament it is!" Gingka ranted with twitching eyes.
"Pfft, like you'll get far in those clown shoes! Sorry Gingka, but I'm pretty sure the circus is that way." Kenta cackled, while jabbing his thumb behind him.
"Oh haha, hilarious! Never heard that one before. Next you're gonna tell me to get a new headband! Well, I hate to break it to you, but custom made fabric is expensive these days! Tell the showrunners to design me a new one, why don'tcha? Now enough of your jokes! Just get back to the point of all this!" Gingka bellowed.
"Ok ok, I'll be serious! The truth is that this tournament is a team-battle tournament. But instead of having four members, the teams are made in pairs!" Kenta admitted in defeat.
"Ohh, so it's a tag-team tournament! Wow, I never would've guessed that! Which means that you want me to enter the tournament with you?" Gingka asked curiously.
"That's right! But it's not just me that wants you as a teammate. It's everyone that we know! Well, everyone besides Kyoya and Ryuga of course." Kenta replied happily.
"Pfft, obviously not them. I know that much. Besides, I rather face them in battle, then have them as teammates. I know Kyoya certainly does. But once I enter the tournament, Pegasus and I will give it all that we've got!" Gingka vowed proudly.
"That's the spirit! I'm sure you two will do great! This year's tournament is called the Grand Blade Tournament!" Kenta cheered with a grin.
"Grand Blade Tournament, huh? That's got a nice ring to it. I'm so ready to battle! Just wait an--"
"Not without me, you're not!" A familiar blader roared.
"Kyoya?! You're here too?" Gingka gasped in surprise.
"Sure am! And I'm entering the tournament too, so you better be there! You know I need a worthy opponent to keep me entertained. Someone that isn't always glowing purple with red eyes or constantly screaming 'I will win!' or 'Disappear! Disappear now!' " Kyoya smirked, mimicking a certain blader's voice.
"Oh is that so? You looking for a real challenge Kyoya? Then prepare yourself because I'm not entering the tournament to mess around! I won't hold back, so I suggest you do the same!" Gingka challenged fiercely.
"Ha! I wouldn't dream of it! Just who do you think I am? Now be there with a reliable partner, or you'll regret it! See you then Gingka!" Kyoya chuckled, while waving his hand.
And just like that, he walked away from the tree. Strutting down the street, with Rock Leone by his side.
"Well that was unexpected. He just waltzed right in like his owns the place!" Kenta groaned miserably.
"Eh, that's not too surprising when it comes to Kyoya. He always knows what he wants, and exactly how to get it." Gingka shrugged casually.
"Speaking of wants, do you want to enter the tournament? Because we need to register for it soon!" Kenta panicked.
"That's right! He was just ranting about that. Soo, when does it start?" Gingka asked eagerly.
"The tournament starts on May 2nd, so we have two weeks before the deadline. That should be plenty of time!" Kenta beamed brightly.
"Two weeks?! 'Til it starts? That's definitely not enough time! Are you kidding me? Maybe I'll go back to the village for a bit." Gingka shrieked anxiously.
"Oh come on Gingka, you worry too much! You'll be fine, trust me! All you have to do is believe in plot ar--, I mean believe in the blader's spirit! And everything will turn out great!" Kenta reassured with a nervous smile.
"Plot what? Eh, I'll find out later." Gingka shrugged nonchalantly.
Gingka reached for the back of his bey-holder, and pulled out Storm Pegasus. He watched his bey gleam, then lifted Pegasus to the sky in triumph.
Alright then Kenta! I'll believe in you too! Pegasus will lead us to victory! And Sagatterio too! Now let's get training!" Gingka exclaimed with a determined look in his eye.
