The tears.

They were Valt's only source of emotion now. The cheerful and energetic boy faltered at the age of 17. Memories no longer sufficient. Memories now only nightmares. Valt never thought he would fall. And fall for love .

He was knelled down,infront of a grave,his hands resting on his thighs as they held a small black box. His small frame gave a sad aura,his blue locks hovering over his forehead and eyes. He took a deep breath before exhaling. He lifted his right hand,and ran his shaking fingers over the concrete and carved words. "Shu...",he croaked as his bottom lip quivered,his throat felt to tight and swollen to speak or even hum. His raggid breathing and hammering heart made this,exiting?

His lips twitched into a quick smile,"I brought you something",he slowly said ,barely above a whisper. His shaking hands messed with the box before taking the lid off. His thumb and index finger picked up the item that the box had held. "Its spryzen",he exhaled as he examined the bey. He smiled,"remember ,when we went to look for you at the snake pit?",his voice was small,soothing. "All those fun times as kids,as pre-teens",he said,tears welling up teasing to fall. "I can't believe you did it...heck,I'm stupid aren't I?"he laughed ,the tears streaming down,"they keep telling me to not blame myself,but I can't, I know its my fault. And I thought that small choices weren't much,and this just proves how wrong I was"he said as he sniffed,his thumb ran along the bey's disk.

"I should have seen all those hint you gave me,only if I weren't so clueless. You were my best friend,I was scared,scared that if I confessed everything we had would go away. So I dated Lui",he sighed deeply,looking up at the dark sky,"to ignore my feelings for you." He lowered his head back to the bey,his heart ached but also felt empty,and dead. "They think I'm crazy,to come here and talk. Even Rantaro thinks so,Lui? He doesn't know. He won't know,you know what he is capable of,but deep down he is a real softy with me. No PDA tho,its rare when we hold hands in public places,"he fell silent for a while,"you probably didn't want to hear about it huh? Sorry."

He placed the bey back inside the small box,he smiled before placing the lid. "I lost my virginity",he stated. His heart racing as he told ,what could possibly not be true,his friend. For some reason,just saying it made his heart race and face flush.

"But...You were my everything,we shared everything,despite you being serious and blunt,I loved you. Heck-I still do. I cried so many times I lost count. I cried until tears didsnt even fall. My heart hurts, its hurts so bad",there it was,he was crying again.  He choked out the words he was never brave enough to say,"I love you Shu."

"And I always have,and I won't stop loving you, despite me being in a relationship.  And for that relationship you killed yourself. ",he was shaking,the blobs as tears rolled down his cheeks to fall at his chin. "You died,and its because of me,I know it was! If only I had the gut to confess,if only I wasn't so clueless!"he scolded hismeslf,he had anger boiled up. "And here I am,mourning your death.....and feeling alone"

"Shu!"

The albino turned around to see his blue haired friend run towards him,a smile plastered on his face. "What is it valt?",the albino asked as he accepted the hug. "I'm dating Lui!"

Valt felt Shu tense up as they hugged. Shu parted away and looked at the small boy with an angered face,"what?"

"He's dating me you idiot,can you not hear?",Lui sneered as he walked up to the two boys,stopping a few feet behind Valt. Shu looked over and said nothing before frowning. Valt's smile twitched,"a-aren't you happy?" . He couldn't say it,Shu's entire world came crashing down in the inside. 

"Yes",he whispered, no emotion present before he turned to leave.

"I wish I wasn't so stupid, I should have taken the jealousy in your eyes the day I told you I dated Lui. I should have.....confessed. But what use is it now? Your dead,"his tone was cold,harsh. He placed the box infront of the grave he was infront of. He froze at the sudden touch on his shoulder,his eyes widened and his heart stopped. "I understand",the voice was deep,and you could just hear the sadness in it,"and I'm sorry as well". The tears kept strolling,his voice was caught in his throat.

"This wasnt what I wanted, but I found no point in continuing,if you were out of my reach",the voice sounded closer as Valt felt the person kneel down next to him. "I love you,Valt" A wave of shock ran through the blue haired boy's body as his head snapped up,his tear filled eyes widened as he saw Shu. His mouth went agape at the impossible. "Sh-Shu",he gasped out as his hands shook and reached over to touch the Albino's face. Shu smiled,"I must leave,but yes,I am dead and a ghost",he said with a weakened smile. He leaned in to the smaller's face,"please be your cheerful self again",he whispered before kissing him. The kiss was long,but too quick for both their desires.

Yearning for more,but blocked by reality. Shu faded away. Valt pursed his lips as he stood up, he looked at the grave one more time before smiling. "I'll see you soon",he whispered before walking down the cemetery. Exiting and walking by the apartment that once belonged to his best friend,towards his and Lui's.
