(So my first one-shot,lets do this.)
(Warning,contains some cringe so be warned and Imma make it a female reader due to reasons...)

"Everyone,please meet [N] who has recently transferred here from America."The teacher introduced [N] who recently joined Beigoma Academy due to her father's work transfer.

[N] nervously fiddled with the straps of her backpack which she was carrying over her shoulder.

"-to-you."[N] said,her head hanging in slight embarrassment over her incoherent words she tried to say in Japanese.

"She says that it is very nice to meet you all."The teacher said,saying what [N] wanted to say in fluent Japanese.

"[N] hasn't fully learnt how to communicate in Japanese,so I do hope you would help her."

With that said,[N] proceeded to take a sit while the teacher officially started the lesson without any further delay.

After the lesson was over,[N] started walking down the hallways observing her new environment.

That's when a group of girls ran past her squealing as they charged towards someone who she would describe as an albino.

"Shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!"They squealed

Honestly,to [N] it was kinda annoying with all that high pitched sounds.

"Whose Shu?"[N] asked a male nearby who looked at her with pure shock on his face. The shock of expression made it seem like she came from outer space or something.

"Shu Kurenai is a prodigy blader and one of the Supreme four! Everybody knows him. Where have you been living under? A rock?"The male replied,crossing his arms with a smirk evident on his face at the fact that [N] did not know who Shu was.

Unfortunately,people nearby heard the male's explanation and started whispering about [N]'s not knowing about the prodigy blader.

Some even laughing behind [N]'s back

"Great,first day of school and I already got a stupid nickname because of this popular kid." [N] silently grumbled before letting out a sigh as she proceeded to head back to the classroom for her next lesson.

Which happened to be one she dreaded,Japanese Class.

The bell rang and the teacher came in,the normal happened and they all sat back onto their chairs.

While the teacher was writing Japanese characters onto the board,[N] struggled to keep up as she scribbled the words onto her notebook while processing all the new information that went through her head.

"Now could anyone read this simple sentence for me?"The teacher asked as she scanned through the class to pick one person to read aloud.

"Don't pick me,don't pick me!"[N] screamed in her head as she silently prayed that she wouldn't get picked.

But its normal for one to get picked if they don't want it.

"[N],could you please read the first sentence of page twenty-one?"

[N] stammered,picking up her textbook as she stood up. The sentence was simple for any normal person,but to [N] it was like an alien's language.

"---to--see---a-"[N] started,skipping most of the unfamiliar words on her book,her face turning red as tears started forming in her eyes at her inability to read such a simple sentence.

"Look at this dunce,first she doesn't know who Shu is and next she can't read!"A classmate beside [N] whispered to her other friend and soon everyone were whispering about [N] and labelled as the class new 'weirdo' after a two hours of her arrival.

"[N],please do better next time!"The teacher reprimanded,not knowing about her struggles.

"Now Shu,please read it!"

Upon hearing his name,Shu stood up and flawlessly read the sentence which earned himself an applause while [N] sat down,completely humiliated and angry with herself and Shu.

Shu looked at the back of [N]'s head,feeling apologetic about the treatment she was receiving on her first day of school.

After a few hours,the final bell signalling the end of school rang as the students of Beigoma raced out of their classrooms to head home.

Some were looking forward to hanging out at the park but had their plans cancelled due to the ongoing pouring rain which seemed never ending.

[N] stood by herself at the entrance of the school,staying under the shelter as she watched her classmates head home.

The gloomy weather could clearly describe her mood as she looked down at her feet.

After the fiasco at class,she didn't talk to anyone in fear that she would screw up over her speech.

As such,she was left all alone as she waited for the rain to stop.

Her first day of school just didn't went the way she wanted it,in fact it was the complete opposite.

"You should start heading home."

A familiar voice chimed out in perfect english as [N] turned around to see the last person she wanted to see.

Shu Kurenai

[N] shook her head before taking a step away from the albino,keeping quiet as she tightened her grip on her bag.

"I'm sorry for the way everyone treated you,after all this is your first day." Shu once again spoke up.

[N] was shock upon his statement,she expected him to mock her or something else but instead he was apologising on behalf of her other classmates.

Shu than took out an umbrella,opened it and handing it to [N] who continued staring in surprise before receiving the umbrella from him.

Their fingers not touching as the exchanged occured yet she could feel her heart beating in her chest from his kindness.

"Everyone doesn't start off perfect,not even me,just keep practicing and you'll get better."Shu slung his bag over his shoulder before wearing his raincoat.

"Good Luck."

He wore a cool smile,his red eyes shining before he heading out of the school as the rain poured,the raincoat protecting him.

[N] eye's widened before breaking into a small smile,the first one she made in the day as she raised the umbrella to cover her head as she too headed out of the school to face the rain.

But before she could head home,[N] went pass Shu and flashed a wide grin on her face as she said one word she certainly had to know in Japanese.

"Arigatou Shu!"

With that said,[N] started making her way back home,touched by his actions and the fact that she had a new friend despite everything.
