Kris decided that BC Sol could have a break one day, so they all piled up into a van, thankfully not Raul's, and began driving to the beach.

Valt, Rantaro and Cuza were in charge of the music, blasting it loudly at the back of the van, where all of their beach items were left.

Shasa and Kris were talking good-naturally, while Honey and Kit pressed their faces to the window, watching as the sun slowly rose up.

Yes, Kris had them wake up at an ungodly time to get to the beach right when the sun was out.

Rickson was passed out, snoring softly as Free looked slightly annoyed at the people in the back, before putting on headphones and closing his eyes.

Silas was busy yelling at the music people.

The other members of BC Sol were either sleeping or staring out into nothingness.

Lana couldn't sleep, however. She loved the ocean and water in general. Hell, her Bey, Spark Lilinoe, was named after the Goddess of Mist. Lana at first had questioned why she had the Goddess of Mist, not the Goddess of Water and the Sea, in which the Bey shop owner informed her that it was because the Bey chose the Blader.

Now, she was extremely happy with Lilinoe. She was her partner.

"Lana. Psst. Lana!" Shasa turned her head behind the seat, staring at the deep blue-haired girl.

"Yeah, Shasa?" Lana questions, staring at the purple-eyed girl.

"Hi!" Kris smiles her magenta hair swaying with a slight turn of her head. "Come up here with us."

"Wouldn't we be smushed together?" Lana asks. She, Shasa, and Kris were the best of friends, and the only reason they weren't sitting together, giggling, was because this bus only sat two people per row. Well also because Lana swears that Shasa and Kris have a crush on each other.

"Nevermind that, come on!" Shasa says, her blue hair disappearing from the seat.

As Raul reached a stoplight, Lana quickly made the switch, swinging herself into Shasa by accident.

"Ow!" Shasa squeals.

"Sorry! Are you okay?" Lana questions.

"Mhm, you just crashed into me." Shasa nods, as Kris held back a laugh.

"Okay, so what was this for?" Lana asks.

"Confesssssssss." Shasa whispers.

"What? No." Lana shook her head.

"We all know you like my little brother." Kris smiles wickedly, rubbing her hands together like a woman with a mission. A mission, that Lana would probably not like.

"Free's not your brother." Shasa deadpans.

"He is," Kris says. "Just not biological."

"O-kay, anyways, CONFESS!" Shasa looks away from the blue-eyed female.

"Confess! Confess!" Kris agrees. "Don't be too late!"

"That's one of your pet peeves, right? Late people and things?" Shasa asks.

"Yeah." Kris nods.

As they reached the beach, Kit and Honey were probably one of the first ones to make it out, leaving the teens to unpack and lug all of their things on the yellow sand that was just starting to warm up.

Everyone got changed, although no one really wanted to go into the cold water, so they decided to just walk around, or lay down until the sun warmed the waters into a reasonable temperature.

Lana was one of the people sitting on the beach, a bit closer than anybody, relishing the sound of the waves crashing into the shore, the salty smell in the air, how it-

"Reminds you of Hawaii huh?" A smooth, yet bored voice came behind her.

"Oh, Free. I didn't notice you here." Lana replies. "And yeah, it does."

Lana was raised in Hawaii, by the water, which explained her love for aquatics, but she loved Beyblade even more. Rising the ranks in Hawaii, Kris had scouted her for BC Sol, where she met a lot of her friends, and Free.

Free and Lana met by accident, as Lana was lost in the forest, and Free's deer had turned up, along with Free. They had talked for a while, and Free led her back to BC Sol, and from there, an unlikely friendship had formed.

"Pretty huh?" Free asks, his black eyes staring at the water. "Of course, I like nature better, but I guess I now know why you go on and on about the ocean."

"Hawaii's oceans are much prettier," Lana replies. "The waters are much, much brighter, and the sand a bit lighter. The waters are warm all year long as well."

"I'll take your word for it. I don't like planes." Free replies.

"You could get to Hawaii by boat," Lana says.

"Yeah, I guess. I'd get married in Hawaii." Free replies, nonchalant.

There he goes again, with the random comments at the most random times. Lana thought. "Really?"

"Yeah. Seems like fun." Free nods.

"I never took you to be the kind of person to plan your own wedding." Lana comments.

"I do it when I'm bored. Of course, for a long time, I didn't have a bride, it was just me. Lonely. Until someone came." Free answers, laying down on the sand, dangerously close to the water.

"You shouldn't do that. The water is really salty." Lana says as a wave washed over Free. The blonde sputtered and stood up, staring into Lana's bright blue eyes.

"You could've warned me." Free glares, rubbing the salt from his eyes.

"I did." Lana snickers.

"Oh yeah, I remembered why I came here. I found somewhere you should see." Free replies, standing up, the sand sticking to his body. "Is there any way to get this off?"

"Not really." Lana shook her head. "Just wait until you're dry, then brush the sand off."

Free's face curled into an unamused expression, before sighing, and beckoning Lana to follow him.

They walked past many beach comers, before diverging into the forest, before coming out into a leafy area, with a ledge just looking over the dark ocean waters.

"Wow. Free, how did you find this?" Lana asks as they walk to the edge of the ledge. Once they got there, Free turned to get a good look at the girl.

Blue hair and bright blue eyes. For some strange reason, Free had been drawn to those colors the day he met Lana. Ever since that day, he'd always find a reason to be in the presence of the girl, hugging her, battling with her, watching her interactions while she's not looking.

Yes, Free knew he sounded like a crazy person, but Shasa did say love made you do crazy things. Although Free didn't really trust anyone after the incident.

3 months earlier, BC Sol-

Joshua held a party for basically all Bladers, and what happened there, was the incident.

Everything was going smoothly. Joshua was being an idiot, the younger Bladers not knowing what to do in front of these older, better Bladers they loved, and aggressively wished to battle*, the older Bladers cracking jokes with friends, Valt getting everyone in one big, happy group, despite the rivalries.

Valt had actually succeeded for once and was talking animatedly until a certain group of girls started laughing their heads off.

Lana, Kris, Shasa, Honey, and Nika were near the punch table, doubling over and wheezing in laughter, as Ichika and Gumita stood there, smiling crazily, trying to stop some giggles from escaping.

"What's so funny?" Valt had asked.

One look at the guys had the girls reeling for laughter yet again.

"TELL US WHAT'S UP?" Lui yelled, looking as menacing as he could be.

But the girls had started rolling on the floor, unable to control their laughter anymore.

By then, most of the guys had tried to go back to what they were doing, and Zac had turned the volume up, drowning out almost any sort of human communication.

"Kris, what are you laughing about?" Free asked, approaching his older sister.

"Oh, just this funny story I told the girls about you and the plushie deer I got you for your birthday," Kris says, covering her mouth as she started to get hiccups from all of the laughing.

"Seriously! You actually named the plushie and slept with it?" Shasa questioned, not being able to look at the Blader she thought was tough, cool, bored, and basically out of her league.

"Little baby Free, sleeping with his deer plushie." Lana had teased, patting Free's hair. "You still have that plushie sitting on your bedside table?"

Free had nothing to do but sit and get hit by all of these teasings, like a little brother with 14 older sisters. Although this was probably much worse.

"Hey Free!" Valt sauntered up to the golden-haired male after an hour of relentless teasing from the girls. "What's going on?"

"Ickle baby Free, why don't you tell him about your deer plushie?" Kris said, her voice high like talking to a baby or a pet.

"Deer plushie?" Valt tilted his head sideways in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Free has a deer plushie that he sometimes sleeps with." Shasa had whispered in Valt's ear.

Valt's eyes had widened, the former number 1 Blader a bit intrigued by the fact that Free had a deer plushie. "Then it must be a champion thing. I had a plushie of bread."

That had the girls reeling for laughter.

"What did you do?" Free hissed. "They're going to tease you!"

"It won't be that bad." Valt had told him. "AIGER! HEY AIGER!"

"Yeah?" Aiger walked up to the bluenette. "What's up?"

"Do you have a plushie?" Valt questioned.

"What kind of question is that?" Aiger looked slightly disturbed.

"Oh, we're looking to see if the number 1 Bladers have a plushie. Which reminds me-" Valt tilted his head up. "KURT! COME OVER HERE WE'RE HAVING AN EMERGENCY PAST WORLD CHAMPION MEETING!"

"Are you kidding me?" Aiger groaned, slapping his head in annoyance.

"You had to tell the entire world," Kurt commented, towering over the Bladers. "What is it."

"We're seeing if the former and current number 1 Bladers have a plushie, to see if it's like this champion thing," Valt said. "Free has a deer plushie, and I have a bread plushie

Aiger nodded. "I have a cow plushie that mooed when I pressed a button, but now it won't moo."**

Fubuki, Suoh, and Ranjiro shifted nervously, as Suoh reached into his pockets to make sure the batteries for the cow toy was still there.

Kurt sighed. "Yes. I had a Khalzar plushie."

Lui coughed from behind them. "I have a shark plushie."

"You aren't even a part of- fu-fridge." Free turned to see everyone looking at them. "Pretend you never saw this you uh- uh- uh-"

"Bitch-ass hoes?" Aiger helped.

"No." Valt covered Aiger's mouth quickly.

"This is your problem." Kurt swiftly walked away from the group.

Needless to say, almost the entire Blading world now knew that most Champions had plushies. And they never let them live it down.

"Free?" Lana nudged the male's shoulder. "You there?"

"Yeah. Sorry." Free stepped a bit closer to Lana. "I was distracted."

"Oh. Free you're getting really close to me." Lana says.

Free stared blankly at Lana, before kissing her.

Lana quickly broke from it, sputtering. "Free! You don't do that without any warning!"

"Really?" Free tilted his head. "Is that how it works?"

"I- Yes!" Lana turned red. "But it was nice."

"I like you." Free says.

"Gah! Lōlō!" Lana yells, switching into Hawaiian.

"What?" Free asks.

"I like you too!" Lana barreled into Free, sending them both off the ledge and into the water.

Surfacing, they gasped for air, treading the water.

"I don't think that's how you treat someone you like." Free comments.

"Shut up." Lana says, before cracking a grin and laughing.

Free smiles, before taking Lana's face, staring into her bright blue eyes, and gently placing his lips on her lips again.
