"Operation Q16." My commander spoke through my earpiece. We were on a mission to find out who was skimming money from Gotham Central Bank. Operation Q16, Silent takedowns only we must not be detected. I lept from the ledge I was perched on and my feet made a soft muffled thud as they hit the ground. We were stationed through an abandoned warehouse we have been following our suspect as he drove here. None of us know who he is, the tinted windows of the Purple moving truck shielding us from his view. Now all we had to do was wait. We were a small organization with little funding. Together we total 5 people, one Adult, 4 teenagers including me. Commander Sasha was stationed on the roof, Braxton and Mishala were covering the outside. Kanara was on the first floor and I was positioned on the second. I crouched beside the railing and waited for our suspect to get out of truck and my eyes widened drastically. It was the Joker. I slowly reached up and tapped the side of my glasses allowing a signal to be sent to the four other members of The Forest League. Clicks sounded in my earpiece as everyone but Kanara tuned into what I was seeing.

My commander spoke into her ear piece. "Operation F1020 in the order Bear (The Commander, Sasha), Coyote (Braxton), Hare (Mishala), Falcon (Kanara), Fox( Myself)" I was scared out of my mind. She was making this mission the test of my skill, I had to go for the Joker.

Sasha came down from a skylight and silently took down a joker goon. She was followed by Braxton and Mishala who did the same. We didn't think anyone noticed us so I signaled for Kanara to make his move. He crept from the shadows and released a gas bomb. The Joker laughed.

"Did you fools really think you could beat me undetected." He threw down another gas bomb this one was lethal, Joker Venom. Goons grabbed my team and I had yet to be spotted. The gas slowly seeped out of the can it was contained in, my team struggled against the goons. The gas slowly rose higher. I was the only one with a chance at escape and I knew it. A quiet sob escaped my throat as I watched my team, my family, become subject to the toxin. Their forced, horrendous laughter echoed off the building walls. The gas rose higher and it was less than 5 feet from me. I ran from my spot to the closest window and jumped out. Using my cloak I glided to the ground and landed with a soft thud. Sirens echoed in the distance, The Gotham Police were on their way. I felt the air stir beside me and I turned to face whatever it was, both katanas ready.

It was Batman.

"Who are you?" He asked sternly. I can't crack in front of Batman so i swallowed hard and blinked away my tears leaving an almost blank expression.

"Fox, 3rd member of the Vigilante group named The Forest League."

"Why are you here?"

"My team and I was on a mission to discover who was skimming money from Gotham Central Bank."

"Tell me what you found out."

"It's the Joker."

"You said you had a team. Where are they?"

" The Joker, he-" My voice cracked and I swallowed hard. Blinking back more tears I finished my statement. "He released Joker Venom. He-" I dropped to my knees and let my tears spill. "He killed them, the only family I had left." I sobbed hard into my hands.

Batman knelt beside me and placed a gloved hand on my shoulder comfortingly.

"It's not safe her Bexley come with me."
"How do you know my-"

"I'm Batman"

I cracked a small smile as he led me to the Batmobile.
