Ashaangi SS Bewitched

Chapter Thirty Nine

The next morning, Sivaangi asked about their date plan to Ashwin through text. His reply was late as he was busy at office. And when his reply came, she huffed because he said he will let her know by evening.

Pushing these thoughts at the back of her head, Sivaangi went to Coimbatore with Harish. They visited LS showroom and met Priya. After a short meeting, they shook hands and walked out of the meeting room.

As they walked out, Sivaangi beamed on seeing Ashwin's posters placed in the showroom's men's section. She asked Harish to wait at front, stating she had to use the washroom and quickly clicked the posters. Then she joined Harish at the front and left to Arasur.

After lunch, Harish and Sivaangi worked on the final reports they have prepared. It was five twenty when they were done with their work. The siblings hugged as they finally completed their project. Harish mailed the reports to Anuradha, Binni and Anusha.

They both dramatically fell on the bed with a huff and giggled at each other. They sat up and got on their legs. They side-hugged and jumped as they made an eye gesture and sang,

"Mudichutom, mudichutom, mudichutom. Heheh, sollu laptop. Namma mudichutom!"

(We've completed, we've completed, we've completed. Heheh, tell them, laptop. We've completed!)

Sivaangi laughed and hugged her brother. The past seven months has been nothing but amazing. There were lot of learning professionally and personally, she has got this beautiful family and lovely people from Arasur. She has also found someone to share her life with. Universe, sure, works in mysterious ways.

Later that evening, Ashwin came home around seven thirty. Sivaangi pointed at her mobile and raised an eyebrow at him. He wriggled both his eyebrows and bit his lips before placing his mobile on his ear and then walked away.

Sivaangi excused herself from Dhanalakshmi and went to her room. She called Ashwin who picked in two rings.

"It's already seven thirty, Ashwin. Are we not going on date?" Sivaangi asked impatiently.

"Ma, listen. Have a lite dinner and go to bed before nine. You sleep. I'll wake you up once everything is ready and the coast is clear" Ashwin sat down on his bed.

Sivaangi frowned, "Illa, enaku puriyala?"

(I don't get you)

"I thought it would be nice if we have a date under the moonlight at our terrace" Ashwin said and Sivaangi's lips instantly curled. He added, "And that won't be possible if everyone's awake. So, our date will start only after hmmm, 12:30 or 1:00? You sleep early so that you won't feel sleepy by then. I'll sleep as well once I get everything ready. Okay?"

Sivaangi smiled but then slightly frowned and pouted, "Ashwineyy, enaku oru doubt uh"

(Ashwineyy, I have a doubt)

"Kelu ma"

(Ask)

Sivaangi sounded serious when she asked, "Rendu perum thoongitom na yenna panrathu?"

(What if we both end up sleeping?)

Ashwin chuckled, "Ma, adhellam naa elundhupen. Unna elupi viduren"

(I'll wake up for sure and I'll wake you, too)

Ashwin convinced Sivaangi and they decided to go ahead with the plan. As discussed, Sivaangi had a lite dinner and retired to sleep early. When asked, she said she was tired. So, Harish and rest bid her good night. Ashwin had a lite dinner.

Instead of going to bed right away, Ashwin made sure everything was ready and then he went to sleep. Sharply by 12:35 his alarm rang. He woke up and rubbed his face. He went to the washroom and wet his feet in the cold water. That helped him to wake up.

Saradha was sleeping with Dhanalakshmi. It was only Ashwin in the house. He woke up Sivaangi through call. He asked her to come quickly, without making noise. He then quickly moved and kept everything ready at the terrace.

Ashwin waited for Sivaangi by the door. He chuckled when he saw her walking like a penguin but she had bent her knees making her posture even more comical. She was looking left, right and back side and sighed in relief when she reached Ashwin's house door.

Sivaangi stepped in and Ashwin closed the main door behind him. She raised an eyebrow in question when she saw him chuckle. He just shook his head horizontally and lead her upstairs.

Ashwin smiled when he saw Sivaangi's excitement on her face. He entwined their fingers and lead her inside the terrace. An excited squealed escaped her lips when she saw the setting in front of her.

Fairy lights were thrown in that particular corner of the terrace. A blanket was spread on the floor in the middle of it. A moon shaped golden lamp was on its center with a wooden picnic basket, couple of glasses and rose petals were scattered on the blanket.

The weather was pleasant too. It was a very simple setup yet it spoke of the love he had for her. Being here at this time was risky but he managed to do this just for her. It has been long time since someone made her feel special.

Sivaangi turned to Ashwin who extended a bunch of red roses to her. With a charming smile, he raised an eyebrow at her. She felt touched; she felt special. No one has given her flowers before. She smiled widely and hugged him. With a growing smile, he closed his eyes and hugged her to himself.

Breaking the hug, Sivaangi took the roses from Ashwin muttering a thank you. He bent down to her level and showed his cheek, "You can thank me without words too, you know"

Sivaangi smiled and pecked Ashwin's cheek and wounded her arm with his. She added, "I love this! Thank you so much, Ashwin!"

Wordlessly, with a smile, Ashwin brought Sivaangi to the spot. He sat down opposite to her and played soft music from their playlist. Her eyes twinkled on seeing the efforts he made for her. She sniffed the roses and looked at him with a smile.

Mirroring her smile, Ashwin took out a flask and placed it on the blanket. She watched as he took their favourite puffed rice balls, butter murukku packet and of course, her favourite brownies.

Sivaangi squealed in excitement on seeing their favourite midnight snacks and Ashwin's heart warmed knowing he was the reason behind her happiness. She helped placing the snacks on the plate while he poured hot chocolate into their glasses earning another excited squeal from her.

The hot chocolate and brownies are from Sivaangi's favourite cafe. She was craving to have them before leaving for Chennai. Thankfully Ashwin has bought them for her. Grinning, she crawled next to him and leaned against his arm.

"Sududhu. Paathu ma" Ashwin said handing a glass of hot chocolate to Sivaangi.

(It's hot. Careful)

"Haaan" Sivaangi blew on her favourite beverage and took a sip. She moaned to the sinful goodness. Her face glowed in the golden light from the lamp. Ashwin smiled and took his glass.

"See, let's do it like" Sivaangi said excitedly.

Ashwin watched as Sivaangi dunked the brownie into the hot chocolate with a childish smile. He chuckled when she blew over it and then took a bite.

"Aaha! Heaven!" Sivaangi appreciated. She dunked the remaining brownie into the hot chocolate and extended it near Ashwin's lips, "Here, try it"

Sivaangi carefully fed Ashwin whose eyes widen and he gave her a thumbs up. She grinned and continued eating. There was only a half-moon on the sky and they can see the stars scattered on the sky. In Chennai, this was such a rare view for her because of pollution but here, she was excited to see the stars.

Ashwin chuckled on seeing Sivaangi's excitement as she saw the sky and described the stars. She was fascinated when he told her about few things he knew about the stars. She placed the empty glass on the corner and wiped her hand on the hand towel.

Sivaangi stretched her leg and looked at Ashwin who was already looking at her. She gestured in question and he shook his head. She chuckled on seeing chocolate smeared near his lips like a kid.

"Apdi sevathu la saanju okaralaama?" Sivaangi asked pointing at the wall.

(Shall we sit and lean by the wall?)

Understanding that it was getting uncomfortable for them to sit without a support to lean for a long time, Ashwin nodded and they both stood up. He dragged the blanket to the wall corner and sat down.

Sivaangi grinned and sat next to Ashwin. He snaked his arm around her neck while she leaned herself against him as they watched the sky. They talked about their work and upcoming days.

Georgian will work on Diwali collection and Sivaangi will help out with it. Before that there was Anusha's wedding preparations to look forward too. Ashwin also has his business to focus on. He reassured her that he will come for Anusha's marriage.

"Psch! Ena onnu disturb pannite iruku" Sivaangi whined looking at Ashwin.

(Psch! Something's keeps on disturbing me)

"Yenna achu?" Ashwin asked looking down at Sivaangi.

(What happened?)

Sivaangi fisted Ashwin's t-shirt and pulled him closer. He was about to ask her but kept mum and widen his eyes when she brought her face closer and sucked the corner of his lips.

He gulped when her tongue licked the chocolate residues, if left any. She was about to pull back but in a nick of a second, his body turned, his arms snaked around her as he pulled her on his thigh before kissing her lips.

She was sure taken aback for a second but as soon as his lips met hers, she melted into the kiss, her fingers disappearing into his thick mane. Their hands roamed on each other's torso, eliciting soft moans and groans as they lost themselves in a fervour-filled kiss.

When they pulled back, they rested their foreheads against each other and breathed in each other's breath. Pulling back, they chuckled and Sivaangi settled in between Ashwin's legs, resting her back on his torso. He wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling his nose into her hair and giving soft pecks on her earlobe and cheek.

"You know, our reel shoot makes me as your co-star" Sivaangi declared as she toyed with Ashwin's fingers.

"Co-star? Niceee, I like the sound of it" Ashwin chuckled and added, "Well, guess I have found my favourite co-star then"

"Favourite co-star?" Sivaangi arched her neck to look up at Ashwin.

"Yes. From stealing glances to eye locks, everything was natural with what we shot. With this co-star, I don't even have to act" Ashwin pecked Sivaangi's head making her lips curl.

Composing herself, Sivaangi asked, "You haven't even started your movie career yet and tagging me as your favourite co-star. What If it changes in the future?"

"No one can top what we have, my dear co-star. So, no, it won't change in the future as well. But because this co-star is special, no one should know this publicly." Ashwin said pulling Sivaangi's cheek softly.

"What kinda logic is this? Because I'm special, no one should know publicly?" Sivaangi slightly frowned.

"Ma, unaku theriyadha, kannu patrum ma" Ashwin said but hissed and laughed when Sivaangi pinched his thigh.

(Don't you know? Evil eyes will fall on us)

"Huh? So, in future, if you get asked who your favourite co-star is, whose name will you take?" Sivaangi asked looking at Ashwin as they walked.

"Idhuku naa rendu vidhama answer solluren" Ashwin started but hissed again when Sivaangi pinched his thigh again.

(I'll give two answers for this)

"You don't have to say anything. Shut up" Sivaangi scowled, "Nee sila neram pesuradhum Kamal Hasan padam um onnu. Onum puriyadhu"

(Sometimes, your words and Kamal Hasan's movies are same. I won't understand anything)

Ashwin laughed and tried to tighten his hold around Sivaangi but she swatted his arm. He narrowed his eyes when she crawled out from his hold but chuckled when she grabbed butter murukku packet and came back into his arms.

"Pasii Ashwineyy" Sivaangi pouted her lips at Ashwin. He smiled and opened the packet for her. He held the packet in his hand while she took a piece from the packet.

(Hunger, Ashwineyy)

Sivaangi was about to eat but then she arched her neck and turned her body before keeping the butter murukku piece in front of Ashwin's lips. He eyed at the murukku piece and then at her.

Ashwin's eyes blinked back the same smile as Sivaangi and he opened his mouth. She fed him and then leaned against him before munching on the murukku while he held the packet for her. They stared at the night sky in silence, basking in each other's warmth.

With his free arm, Ashwin caressed her left palm that rested on his thigh. She stuffed a handful of murukku in her mouth and turned to look at him. There were murukku crumbs on her cheeks, her hair was messy and her mouth was stuffed with murukku.

Her kohled eyes stared into his soul making his breath hitch. Her eyebrows danced, asking him what. He sighed softly and shook his head before tenderly dusting off the murukku crumbs from her cheek.

"I love you, Sivaangi" Ashwin said in a heartbeat, his eyes filled with love and admiration.

Sivaangi paused on her munching as she heard Ashwin's words. So, they are confessing their love through words now? She smiled at him and started munching again, her arm resting on his bicep. He waited for her to gulp down the food, his fingers toying with hers.

Ashwin looked down to see Sivaangi intertwining their fingers. He looked up to see her stare at him with the same love and admiration. His heart raced with excitement as she said, "I love you, Ashwin"

A full-blown smile crept on Ashwin's lips while Sivaangi's back leaned against his torso, a shy but content smile playing on her lips. She pressed herself more into his torso when she felt him wrapping his arms around her. Wordlessly, they stared into the starry sky, a constant smile etched on their face.
