Where am I?

Most importantly...

Who I am?

The girl wondered as she stared at the strange environment around her. She only remembered gawking at her favourite books at home and boom-

She's here.

In the distance she could see someone staring at her from across the lake. It wasn't too clear for her to recognise the person but she could see it was a guy.

"Would you stop staring already would ya Clairbelle?". A voice from behind her whispered in a teasing low voice making her jump in fright.

The young guy chuckled at her reaction. "Gotcha there".

"E-excuse me?". Claire asked in a terrified voice. She clearly had no idea what she had gotten herself into.

"Perhaps you'd recognise this?". He teased and nudged his nose against her arm, with his furry tail waging from behind.

The girl immediately noticed the weird parts of him and gasped in realization.

"T-that's impossible! I was only staring at your pictures before I went to sleep!". She pulled herself away from his grip with a frown.

"And what did you say before you went to sleep?". He questioned with a smirk.

Claire furrowed her eyebrows thoughtfully and let out an embarrassed small laugh when she remembered her wish. "It was just a ridiculous one for goodness sake!".

"Well, in my world....wishes are something that can bring out the hope of the future even without you knowing it". He explained, gesturing to the magnificent environment before them.

"M-minuet it is?". Claire stuttered a bit.

"Meh, you can call me anything you want....". He cooed, kicking some stones into the crystal clear lake.

Claire couldn't help but stare at her one obsession all these while.

"Are you really real?". She asked.

He tilted his head to her and wore a cunning grin that showed off his cute fangs. "I see you want to test me out, nice try there...".

Claire shyly looked away and fidgeted with her fingers before walking besides him. "Prove you're real...". She demanded.

"Can you fly?". He asked.

"W-what?". She raised her eyebrows in confusion and gasped when she realized that her legs were no longer on the ground but now in the air.

Minuet on the other hand was other levitating in the air and grinning at the girl flying besides him.

"H-how did you do that?!". She screamed in excitement as she could see other villages and rivers from the sky.

"One of the few tricks I taught Isabelle heh". He confessed.

"Where's Isabelle?! I want to meet her like hell! I love her soooo much!". The girl demanded in uttermost excitement.

"Calm down there...". He laughed. "She's with her crazy lover....and she's not out for a while I guess...".

"Xander's here too!?". She clenched her fist.

"Did something happen?".

"It's because of him you guys didn't get together in the first place!". She frowned and folded her arms.

He blushed. "Huh? So you ship us? That's...surprising....but...yeah we're not like that...". He rubbed the back of his head.

"Why!". Claire puffed her cheeks.

"Aw, your cheeks remind me of hers". Minuet chuckled, playfully pinching the girl's cheeks.

Claire blushed a bit and slapped his hand. "Don't try that until you let me touch your ears!".

"First it was Isabelle that was after my ears and now it's you?". He shook his head laughing in wonder.

"Please!". The girl pleaded with a pout.

"Go ahead". He gave her a sweet smile.

Claire shyly reached out to his furry ears and gently stroked the back of the ears. She let out a squeal of surprise when she saw his ears twitch at her touch.

He suddenly purred as she reached out for his neckline, making the girl laugh and tease him.

It wasn't long before the two lads became closer and understood each other's way of life.

"So...basically...you're saying...I'm living in another universe like you're living in another?". She asked, dangling her feet above the cliff she and Minuet were currently sitting at.

"Yup". He replied.

"You were sort of brought in here cause of your wish...that's the least I know". He smiled.

"So...anytime from now?". She asked with sadness.

"Yes, any minute from now you'd be gone back to reality. Magic....is something that have prices Claire...and time is one of them". He explained,
staring at the sweet girl.

She sighed. "I didn't even get to see everyone".

"Don't worry...there's always a next time". He whispered.

She smiled and looked at him shyly. "Forgive me for this...". She said.

"What-?". Before he could finish his statement, the girl had kissed the young lad's lips briefly.

She felt so embarrassed when she realized what she did and tried to stand up at once, only for her to be pulled back by his hand.

"Don't run away....not yet...". He pleaded in a low voice.

She looked to the side and nodded. "Sorry...".

"You can't say sorry to something that's already been done...besides...I've started to like you already". He cooed, turning her face to him so she could look him in the eye.

"Promise me you'd come back someday?".

"I..I..uhm...". She stuttered.

"I'd be waiting for your return Clairebelle". He whispered as he leaned his forehead against her forehead with a sad smile.

"Minuet...". The girl called out in a sad voice when she realized that the environment had started to fade away, including that of the young guy.

"I'd be watching you from the other side of the world...stay safe belle". He blew her a kiss before fading completely with the world.

"Noo...". Claire voiced out in tears before she was magically transferred back to her human world.

Everything went blank and black.

The only thing she could remember was his smile when he left.

Clutching the book in her arms, she turned to the side of her bed in tears of sadness. She was this close to finding out some things but time didn't let her to.

"Was it a dream? Of course!". She chirped to herself as she stared at his picture in the novel.

It wasn't long before darkness consumed her into what humans call sleep and she could finally be herself in another world once more without having any rules or something in her way.

She always admired fantasy and longed for it to be in her way someday.

"Are you ready?". A voice asked.

"Always!". She said in excitement.

She laughed heartily as she was finally able to get into a magical adventure with the ones she admired the most.

"I'm finally here!".

Together, they all embark on a glorious journey exploring the unexplored, unraveling the unraveled and discovering the undiscovered!

Little did she know that magic came with prices-

And one of them...

Including her...

Was having Powers!
