(Okay, so I forgot to mention in the first chapter that these next few chapters will take place at the same time. This is just to get to know the main characters. Although, a few others will be revealed later on. Anyway, please enjoy!)

Carla's POV

It was early in the morning when I was woken up, as per usual. I prepared myself for the day and walked to the dining hall for breakfast. I wasn't surprised to see my father, sitting with a disappointing look. I hopped up onto my seat and waited for breakfast to be served.

"Good morning Carla. I assume you slept well, correct?" My father said, refusing to look at me.

"Yes father...." I sighed softly. I knew he didn't look at me like his daughter. I wasn't even going to be the next ruler in line. That was my older sister, Natasha.

As if on cue, she walked into the dining hall. "Good morning father. Good morning Carla," Natasha spoke.

Both father and myself returned the greeting and Natasha sat next to me.

"So Natasha, how have your studies been going?" My father asked Natasha.

"They've been going well," she replied, just as our breakfast was served.

My father and Natasha continued their conversation, while I just ate silently. That was until I heard my father say my name.

"Carla, you will be coming with me to Naturae for the meeting between kingdoms," he said calmly.

At that, I nearly choked. "W-What?" I stuttered after I managed to regain my breath.

"You heard me. I expect you to be ready after your lessons are over" he responded dryly.

All I could do was nod and continue to eat. After I finished eating, I walked back to my room to prepare for my lessons.

After several long, boring hours going over the same things as always, it was finally time to leave. I was kinda excited. I would be able to see my best friend, Katherine. She's the Princess of Naturae. Even just thinking about her.... it made my heart pound. I never told anyone, but I actually have a tiny crush on her. I can't help it! She's just so.... perfect. But I have a feeling my father found out, since he pretty much looks at me like I'm the scum of the earth (What does that term even mean?).

Anyway, I walked to the entrance after grabbing a few things, where my father waited for me. We both walked to the carriage quietly; he climbed in first, then I followed.

We finally made it to Naturae, thank goodness. My legs were staring to get a bit stiff from sitting for so long. I followed my father out of the carriage and to the palace. I noticed the other kings, queens, princes and/or princesses were already here. Then I noticed King Nova, Queen Ivy, and Prince Luke, the rulers of Naturae. I didn't see Katherine though, which is weird. She might be horseback riding, that would make sense why she wasn't with her family. My father and I walked over and greeted the others and I met up with my friends, Luna, Jason, Neal, and.... ugh.... Darkness. He's the oldest out of all of us. Luke wasn't allowed to join us for some reason. Then I noticed another girl. She had pale, almost white, blonde hair and icy blue eyes. I didn't recognize her, but she was speaking with Luke and she did seem nice.

After about ten minutes, the kings and queens headed into the palace, as well as Luke and the girl. I decided to wait for Katherine, but Darkness started annoying me about heading inside. You readers already know what happened afterwards from Katherine, so I don't need to tell you again (Seriously!? Again!). Sometimes, I do wish Kat(Katherine) did investigate what she saw as she left.
