Luna Collares. She died two years ago because of lukemia.
Nicholas told Luna about the girl he likes, Ameri. He told her about how Ameri makes his heart flutter every time she's near, every time she calls him, every time their bodies touched, and every time she looks at him. It was dazzling. It was so good to feel, that he wants to make Ameri stay beside him for longer.
He asked if his feelings towards Ameri is genuine or he just sees Luna in her. He asked if he needs to stop his feelings for her so that no one will get hurt.
But with the help of Heiro, he now knows for himself that he really likes the girl who is walking beside him in the school hallway.
"She's happy now, up in there," said Ameri, looking heavenward.
"She is," he agreed. "And, I bet, she likes you, too."
Ameri's cheeks blushed with his statement.
Nicholas, too.
The hallways became silent when none of them talked.
Letting their hands touch while walking.
Moments passed, Nicholas asked something that made Ameri's face be so red than before.
"If you're backpack isn't heavy. H-how about you hand?" lakas-loob na tanong ni Nichols habang pinipigilan ang hininga. "Can I hold. . . your hand?"
