Foul Language Towards The End. MLB ONE-SHOT

"She was...miraculous. "

Everything about her.

How could he let her die?

How could he let the love of his life die?

"Bye, kitty!"

"Wait, M'lady!" He grabbed her hand with his own, bringing her closer to him. For just a moment, perhaps even less than that, he thought he saw her blush. She shook her head, backing up.

"I told you, Cat. I am in love-"

"-With someone else." He continued for her, looking at the ground.

She didn't love him.

"She was an amazing-" Alya broke down at the podium, leaning on Nino for support. Her words were full of tears, emotion. "She was an amazing friend! The best a girl, the best a girl, could ask for!" The girl's body went limp in her boyfriend's arms, sobbing.

"A-Adrien! I-I wanted talk school after you to!"

"She was an amazing girl, her heart always singing for others." Luka spoke with pure sadness, but keeping a straight face. Adrien watched as Luke's eyes stayed glued on the casket before him.

"Ladybug! Please!" Tears formed in the boy's eyes as he watched the girl he loved begin to take her earrings off. He was powerless, being restrained by the rope that tied him to a chair, leaving him to watch what was happening through a camera. "Ladybug! No!" He couldn't care less for the voice crack apparent in the sixteen year old's voice. He knew she couldn't hear him, no matter how loud he was.

Tears were evident in the female superhero. "You win, Hawkmoth. Just let him go! If you do that, I will give you my earrings for you to do with as you wish." The man considered, then accepted. Cat Noir screamed at the camera.

"I'm not worth it! Don't let him win!" Her voice sounded discouraged, and he knew she needed him. Ladybug removed her earrings, her face turned towards the camera, eyes shut tightly and tears falling like a waterfall. As her mask began fading off, she blindly forfeited her jewelry to the villain.

"Marinette, how to explain her." Adrien was at the podium, thinking about what to say.

"Marinette?" It made no sense, the scared girl was the one he loved. She could hardly get a sentence out around him, always falling.

"She cared about everyone, putting everyone first." No, he would not cry.

"Bye, kitty," he held her in his lap.

"NO! MARINETTE! PLEASE! Ladybug? LADYBUG!"

Earlier That Week:

"I l-like Adrien!" The small girl yelled to the unsuspecting teen. She continued with a voice so small, he had to strain to hear her. "I, I like you. No, I love you."

"I knew her as a girl who was always loyal, putting everyone before herself."

"Sure! I can take care of that for you!" Adrien overheard her saying. Only they both knew she would say what she meant during the night as Ladybug.

"I have so much to do! I shouldn't have agreed, but he's my friend. How could I say no?" She seemed to be honestly asking.

"I could always help my bugaboo, she needs only to ask." He sent her a flirtatious wink.

"She loved everyone for who they were, not what the looked like or where they came from."

"What's wrong, princess?" He asked her as Cat Noir, speaking to the small Marinette on her patio.

"I told the boy I liked, Adrien, that I liked him." She was crying because of him.

"Adrien? Is it just because he is 'handsome'?" He poked her nose in a joking manner before sitting like a frog on the patio railing.

"She liked me for me, she loved everyone for who they were."

"Not really, I mean-" Cat Noir could see her face turning the shade of red that matched Ladybug's suit.

Later That Week:

"Ladybug!" The rope was cut from behind his back, leaving him to run out the door without a thought. Ladybug, his love. Marinette, the girl who just a few days prior confessed her love to him. They were one in the same, he couldn't let either die.

He got to the roof where her lifeless body was laying, surrounded by ladybugs. He didn't think, he just let out a gasp as he ran towards her. No, she couldn't be.

Earlier:

"Not really, I just mean-" Cat Noir could see marine's face turn a shade darker than Nathaniel's hair. "Not that he isn't,"

"You think Adrien is cute?" The immature teenage boy couldn't contain his smile that crept to his face.

Marinette leaned her head on her arm, her elbow placed on the railing as she gazed at the stars. "I suppose, but that isn't why I like him. He's selfless and kind, willing to do anything for his friends." The boy of discussion, hidden by a black costume and alter ego blushed, flattered with how one of his best friends described him with such admiration in her tone. He looked to her, searching her blue bell eyes that were so focused on the stars, it made his heart warm.

"She was the kind of person you could talk to about anything, because you knew she would be the one to listen." Tears rushed to the surface of Adrien's eyes, leading him to turn his head from the audience for a moment to wipe his nose with his jacket sleeve. He remembered how many times he laughed with Marinette, the puns he managed to get out of Ladybug, and he was left to wonder how such a beautiful, small but bright, light had withstood so much. Yet, the last burst of wind blew the flame out, leaving all of Paris to deal with the burning of the wax. "Marinette, we loved you, your entire self, both halves. May your soul and spirit," Adrien's voice cracked, and he turned his face once more out of shame. He had to hide his sadness until he was alone; a trick he learned from his father. "Ladybug, may your soul and spirit live in all of us." He walked off the stage, running into the wooded area where he let Plagg from his hiding space in the tuxedo.

"I'm sorry, kid," Adrien ignored the black kwami, leaning his back against the tree trunk where he let his body slide down, sitting with his knees up, head in his hands.

"I should have been there! I should have saved her!" The model felt as if someone had just ripped his heart out and punched him in the gut. He no longer fought the tears, letting them fall. "She is dead because of me! I loved her! And I, I let her go." His voice softened, turning to hardly a whimper. "How can I live on?"

Plagg was speechless; he knew Adrien was emotional when he was younger, but he learned to put a barrier between his feelings.

"Why does everyone I love get killed? I love her! I-" He looked up to see Alya sitting next to him, her arm around him. Nino was looking at Adrien with eyes as if he were a hurt cat he found on the side of the road. Nino say beside his best friend, his knees up as well.

"Friends become who you are, and you must learn to live on, for there is nothing we can do about it now. I'm sorry, Adrien, but she is gone. We can't do anything about it now, just carry the happiness and loyalty she carried on herself," Alya tightened her hold on Adrien for but a moment, letting him go loose just as quickly.

"She is gone".

"Thanks. That made me feel better." Adrien sighed sarcastically as he stood up with a jerk.

"Dude, calm down. She-"

"Shut the hell up, Nino! I don't have to calm down! You don't understand! We were closer than anyone else! And I-" Adrien shook his head. "I have to go. Don't you dare follow me!" He shouted towards his hurt friends as he ran to his bedroom.

"Adrien, you have to calm-"

"Gabriel, you must calm down. If not for her, for you son."

Adrien punched the wall, leaving a hole. "Shut up! He killed her! That son of a pitch killed her!" Adrien glared at Plagg, the frightened kwami. "I'll kill him! I'll kill that bastard! Plagg, claws out!"

He hopped out the window, full of fury.

"Mommy?" A six year old Adrien stared at his mother, watching her pack with tears coming from her eyes.

"Adrikins. I am going on a short trip. I'll be back, my little kitten." She gave him a big hug before walking out the door.

"Mommy, wait! Take me!"

"Hawk Moth! Come out, you coward!" Cat Noir shouted from the Eiffel Tower. "You thought I would let you get away with sending someone to snap my lady's neck? Give me her miraculous, coward! Face me!" He broke down, crying. "My lady, please. come back to me!" He imagined her kneeling beside him, her head against his shoulder. He put his head against the area he felt a small weight rest on his shoulder. "I miss you, bugaboo."

I am sorry for this, it was terrible. I was channeling anger I didn't know I had into the end, so you got a bit of foul language. Did I mention anything about the oneshots I'll add when I have stuff? Oh well, now you know. Adios!
