Chapter 53

"I can't believe that we're here again..." Vanilla groaned as she looked around the library, she had hoped with all her heart she had seen the last of that room. "I didn't think that by coming i'd sign myself up for more work.." She huffed and crossed her arms, only lasting a moment before continuing to look at books.

"Vansilla you were kidding yourself if you thought we'd seen the end of this place." Landso said bluntly. "No matter how much we try to ignore it, our responsibilities will not go away." He had a slight frown on his face, he didn't have that many responsibilities at all. Unless Acheron and Laylian both had unfortunate accidents, he wouldn't have the responsibility of being an advisor. That annoyed him as he wanted the job, he wanted to make a difference, to have some influence. Just because his siblings were born earlier they were before him.

"I know but it's nice to pretend sometimes." Acheron interrupted , sensing some slight tension coming off his brother. He knew what his brother wanted, so did Laylain and so did their parents. It was clear as day that Landso was not only smitten for Vansilla but that he wanted to be the advisor. Landso himself knew he had little to no chance with the royal and figured the next best thing was to be able to spend time with her.

Tyrell and Kelso were also there, it was the first time Kelso had seen the palace, and it was really the first time Sylvester had been there as well. It was something which fascinated them. Tyrell still ahd a few moments of shock as he looked around. It seemed unbelievable that they could just teleport from one dimension to the other, switching between the two dimensions without consequences. That didn't mean that they weren't waiting for a consequence to come about due to them doing this. It seemed too good to be true.

They were all booking through medical books, trying to find something which would Help Hazel. They also considered the fact that it could give them a clue as to what was happening. It was no coincidence that it was Hazel , a human who just so happened to know about the fae. It was planned, either as a warning or as a distraction. Either wat it was incredibly distracting and scared the two humans and their partners.

Addamak was also there, he was the one who created the portal tot he library. He had also informed Addafor that his daughter and sons had returned safely. Addamak knew that they would be visited sooner or later by Addafor and Laidra. The thought scared him a little bit, though he tried to keep a brave face. Their past wasn't something he liked to think about too much but it seemed to be all he was doing as of late.

"Do you think ti's a poison?" Kelso asked them all, she had only seen snippets of the photos, Tyrell had seen them all but Kelso was a little frightened to see the full image. "Because this one talks of spells-" she held up the book which was in her hands. "But i'm not sure how much of it is fabricated."

"I'm not sure if anything can actually cast spells..." Laylian mused slightly. "No more than humans can anyway. Humans' can cast spells but they're not as potent as other creatures like fae." The humans were still ecstatic that there were still things which surprised them . They appreciated the fact that they're learning new information.

"Like Dawn? The spells that she does?" Tyrell asked curiously and intrigued. He was still fascinated by the possibility of spells and magic. "Like secrecy spells and such?" Sylvester beside him nodded and Laylian gave a verbal confirmation.

"But offensive spells are much more dangerous and cost more to cast." Addamak intervened "No matter what species you are the universe frowns upon harming other creatures. It is unknown what higher force it is which puts this into place or even if there is a force at all but there is usually always a price to pay for wishing harm on another." It seemed that Addamak knew more then what he let on .

"Laylian! Boys!" They all jumped in surprise as Laidra and Addafor entered the room. Laylian was immediately pulled into Laidra's arms, soon after the boys were as well. "I've been so worried!" It was extremely awkward for the other four who were in the room as they watched the reunion. "Please don't run off like that again!"

"Well Technically mother we didn't run off..." Laylian mumbled as she was engulfed in her mother's embrace still. "But i missed you too." seeing Hazel had made Laylian think differently about her family in the fae dimension. She knew that if anything like that happened to her family thens he would be distraught. She may not appreciate the fact that her parents made her stay in the castle for the majority of her life studying but she loved them. She would be lost without them.

"Who is this?" Addafor said almost teasingly as he looked towards Kelso. He knew full well who it was, but he wanted the words to come from either Kelso or Laylian themself. He was fully supportive of a same sex relationship, though he was not too sure about how the royal family would react. They would probably be even more put off by the fact that she was a human. Addafor saw no issues with it.

Laidra also knew who Kelso was, it was slightly obvious to her. They were right next to each other and Kelso's eyes hardly ever left Laylian. With a simple look in her daughter's eyes it was clear to her that Kelso was important to her and that the two of them had feelings for one another. Laylian was fully aware that her parents knew , she respected their decision o not say anything too embarrassing on first glance.

"Mother, father." Laylian said as she returned to Kelso's side and grasped her hand. She could feel the fact Kelso was nervous. The poor human was shaking with nerves. It wasn't anything unusual, meeting your partner's parents was something nerve wracking. "This is my girlfriend, Kelso Emberforth."
