Chapter 51

After getting themselves washed and refreshed the twins spent a few hours asleep. They were curled up and passed out on the living room floor, which then turned to them being splayed out due to the restlessness they felt in their sleep. Addafor had been in touch via a telephone on the fae dimension, they were all surprised to know that phones worked interdimensionally. When The twins were told they wondered if that was why there were so many phone calls with nobody on the other end.

"Good morning sunshine!" Laylian said happily to Kelso as she saw her starting to stir. She was kneeling next to her with a warm cup of coffee in her hands which she handed over. "We've got about half an hour before we leave..." she trailed off and kissed Kelso's forehead before she stood up and let her be. Kelso may be an early bird but it was pitch black outside, it wasn't at all welcoming or energizing.

Sylvester had thought it would be better if he woke Tyrell up as close to leaving as he could. Tyrellw as a pain when he was woken up and so if he was distracted with his thoughts it would stop him from drifting back to sleep. It also gave him less time to worry. He could have some coffee in the taxi . Sylvester was nervous about the evening but he wasn't going to show it. He knew that if they got into any trouble then he'd be able to get them out of it, with humans that is.

Kelso spent the next twenty five minutes looking out the window whilst taking sips of the coffee every now and again. She didn't feel like talking to anyone and people respected that. Hazel was her second closest family member and she was in hospital, those around her were wise enough to know that she wouldn't be feeling too well. Before they had fallen asleep Tyrell had checked his phone to see many messages from Dawn, Eden and Devin. They were all worried about their wellbeing and it warmed Tyrell's heart just a tad. He replied with "hello kelso and i are fine, Nanna's in hospital we'll keep you posted." he felt incredibly rude by not providing more but he just couldn't handle it. He didn't want to go into detail because that made things more real.

None of them really spoke as they went to the car but once they were settled Kelso spoke up . "I can't actually believe that we're doing this..." Kelso and Tyrell were sat next to each other and Tyrell had his arm around her shoulder, he started to trace circles with his thumb as she spoke.

"I mean...it wouldn't be the first time we've snuck around somewhere we weren't supposed to be." Vanilla announced calmly .Her calmness is how she showed she was serious about the situation. Usually she would be jumping up and down in her seat or have a rather happy tone. This was a side that people hardly ever saw of Vansilla. "Your school...your house...our house...the forest.." she quickly realized that she had named all the places she had been to in her lifetime. They had done a lot of sneaking. "I'm sure that we will get what we came for."

Kelso smiled in thanks at the comforting words that were being thrown their way. She did appreciate it but she was in a deep well full of sadness which would only be replaced with happiness when she found out her nanna was going to be alright. She knew that she might be overreacting, she was in hospital and was being treated. She just couldn't help the nagging voices in her head.

They didn't go into the hospital's car park , instead opting to park on the next street. They knew that there were probably camera's in the car park which they wouldn't be able to get past. "Right." Adamak said as he exited the taxi, he slid open the door to the twelve seater taxi and stood on the outside, leaning on the open door just a little. "You five, are going to go in , find Hazel's room, see if there's anything unusual and get back here." He spoke with a stern tone and pointed towards Vansilla, Acheron, Landso, Sylvester and Tyrell. Unfortunately they couldn't really shorten the numbers.

They each had their own uses and special skills which meant they had to be a part of the mission. Vanilla was sneaky and quick, Landso was intelligent, Acheron was strong, Laylian Would know what to look for and Sylvester would be able to get them out of trouble . "we're going to try something..." Laylian looked towards kelso "don't be scared if you start hearing voices...it'll just be us...or one of us."

All Kelso could do was nod in confusion as the fae left the taxi. Tyrell wished them good luck before they had left. He got ndos in reply, they would hopefully be gone for about ten minutes, fifteen minutes maximum. It shouldn't take them long. Addamak had decided to stay in the back of the taxi with the two humans, making sure everything was okay. It was only after the fae left did they start to what a whimper. After a few looks of confusion Tyrell stood up.

He simply switched seats to the one which he had been looking at on his journey, the one where Sylvester was sitting in. As he sat down his eyes caught movement under where his seat was. With closer inspection he realized what it was. "Ebony." he whispered with a smile as he bent down. "What are you doing here?" Ebony was quickly engulfed in a hug from Tyrell where she proceeded to lick at his face. Tyrell scrunched his face up but gave a small smile anyway. He soon returned to his seat next to Kelso, placing Ebony on his lap. The warmth which Ebony provided soothed Tyrell whilst the texture of her soft fluffy fur soothed Kelso as she stroked Ebony.

"You seem to appear at all the necessary times don't you?" Kelso asked Ebony as the small dog brought a smile to her face. She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes, she was calm for the most part. Though her facing heart and bouncing leg didn't show it. "This ten minutes is going to last forever."
