Chapter 29

"We...knew the majority of that." Kelso said disheartedly as she ran her hand through her hair. Sylvester nodded and Adam sighed. He didn't know what to tell the two in order to comfort them. There was little room for comfort at the moment. The human dimension was in danger of being controlled by a very powerful dark fae and their partners were in another dimension. The stress and tension they must be feeling was something Adam flinched thinking about.

"Ah, i'm sorry i didn't actually know how much you knew...regardless." Adam trailed off for a moment as he tried to come up with something positive yet realistic. "There is a possibility that you can get your partners back, or that you can go to the dimension and work this whole Nero thing out." Sylvester wasn't happy about going to the fae dimension again, he had tried all his life to escape from there. Though , he would have only left if Laylian was with him. Since Laylian was no longer there with him he had to get her back.

Sylvester had a n odd sense of loyalty and duty towards Laylian, when they were in the fae dimension, she was the only human-like person who actually treated him with respect and kindness. The rulers and the Caileafaq family acknowledged his existence but he was brushed off rather quickly as they just assumed he was a regular dark fae who cared for nothing but causing mischief and disruption. Laylian fed him, got him clothes and gave him his first ever present and friend. He swore that he would follow her anywhere, even back to the place he had tried so hard to escape.

"It's late." Sylvester muttered as he looked out of the window. It was now pitch black outside and the darkness felt suffocating. "What should we do?"Sylvester hated the fact he was asking someone he didn't really know for advice. Such vital decisions had to be made and Sylvester was unsure if he could trust this face.Though working well with Adam could be his only chance.

"We have two options from what I see." Kelso interrupted , yearning for a stress ball or something to put her energy into. "We could sleep and make sure that we are well rested, making sure our plan is one hundred percent correct and thought out for when we go to the fae dimension tomorrow...if we can." The uncertainty was thick in her voice. "Or we could go right now without a plan and risk our necks."

Adam gestured towards Kelso. "Yes though that second one would be a very foolish dn stupid option." He once again stroked his beard, if it was any other situation Kelso would have probably thought it was rather humorous. "You should sleep." He nodded thoughtfully "tomorrow you can take me to this place that you keep mentioning and then we can come up with a plan and go to the fae dimension." A spark of anxiety came to his own voice as he fidgeted with his fingers. "Let us hope that the fae are welcoming."

That night they all took turns sleeping, the fae let Kelso sleep the most as she needed more sleep than they did. Though Kelso wouldn't like to admit it, she would only be good for keeping an eye out. She couldn't fight or ward off any fae that could be lurking around the house. They still weren't sure why Tyrell and Laylian had been taken. They knew some things that others did not know, but other than that , there wasn't much of a reason.

Needless to say the next morning was incredibly uncomfortable and anxiety inducing. Adam had stayed in the kitchen the majority of the evening and so he had made breakfast for them all as the other two woke. He knew that they would need their strength to get through the day.

Kelso had called the school and Sylvester managed to get them all the day off, though he had convinced them not to ask further about it. That didn't improve his mood at all. Though the less people who question , the better. Adam had a somewhat disapproving look on his face as Sylvester was on the phone, though he didn't say anything to them.

"So are our plans still the same?" Sylvester asked as he looked out of the window, he mainly was wondering if he had to bring his book and the photos to the place. To create more notes from there, his book would be useful regardless. He didn't know what else to take if he was completely honest, he hoped that he didn't have to stay there for very long.

"Yes. We will go to the place, make sure that there has been no disturbances and then go to the fae dimension." Adam took a sip of his black coffee. "It is much easier to create a portal to the fae dimension than it is to create one to get to the human dimension, you do not need to go to a certain place , portals can be anywhere." Kelso was rather tempted to shush him , this was because if other fae...or dark fae in possession of fae find out then the fae dimension could be at risk. She felt like Adam knew all that he needed to know and that they were safe listening to him , he would keep his mouth shut if he didn't know if it was safe or not. He had a very authoritative air around him.

The trip to the place was quick and quiet, all of them wanted to get this done and were eager to get to the place so that they could get the portal created, find Tyrell and Laylian and leave. They all felt some sort of nagging feeling. They all knew that it wouldn't be as simple as they imagine it to be. They were all tense and travelled at no less than a jog.

As the doors to the place opened and Adam stepped forward, all of the animals who were there seemed to stop and stare. The fae have a rather friendly atmosphere surrounding them. WHich was something that made the situation so unusual. Though Kelso and Sylvester were willing to ignore it. That was until Adam muttered "Ah...just how i remember it."
