Chapter 27

"So what you're saying is." Kelso said with her hands wrapped around a warm cup of tea which she had made herself to help calm her down. "I've known a fae for about five years and i never noticed." She nodded as she started to list. "My girlfriend and twin brother have been taken to another dimension." She paused dramatically as she tried to wrap her head around things. "And the only way to get them back is to probably go to the fae dimension ourselves?"

"That is correct." Adam said as he drank his own tea. They were all sitting in the living room. It was about time for Dawn ,Devin and Eden to head out for the evening. The girls had school the next day and couldn't afford to miss it. "I am rather shocked that you have became partners with fae, though I think it is the result of destiny."

"Ah yes that is very much correct." Dawn said as she stood up and lifted her bag off the settee. "Destiny is what pulls us all together and along is it not? " She started to chuckle as her eyes were bright with wonder. Something Devina and Eden hadn't seen on their grandmother's face for a long while. "Well it's about time destiny draws us back to our house for the night." She looked to her grandchildren who took the signal to start getting prepared to leave. "I do hope that this all smooths out, please keep in touch and call if you need me."

Dawn sent a cheeky wink to kelso after the shared a comforting hug. Kelso knew that she wouldn't be able to go to school in the morning, she wasn't going to miss anything special. She wasn't the kind of person to jump at the thought of skipping school , she was a rather good student, though she knew she wouldn't' be able to go to school without Tyrell, it would raise too many questions that she couldn't answer. Even Hazel would know immediately that there was something deathly wrong. If one of the twins got sick, the other twin wasn't far behind.

Sylvester was just sat grumpily and watching the situation. He didn't trust the fae, or anybody really . Now there was this new person claiming to be a fae and wanting to help. Sylvester trusted Kelso's judgement, along with Tyrell's judgement. He figured that this person had been with Kelso and Tyrell for five years, and he hadn't done any harm to them in that time. Therefore he mustn't be too bad. It didn't mean he was going to let his guard down.

"Though i do not know much about you."Adam nodded towards Sylvester. "I can tell that you are a dark fae, which is ultimately fascinating." He spread his hands out in front of him in wonder as he stared straight at Sylvester, who stared straight back. "It is rather rare for us to meet a non-hostile dark fae, nevermind one in the human dimension. There are a few hostile ones here, most of them have been dealt with."

"You mean everyone but Nero?" Kelso's question made Adam's head snap towards her, causing some surprise. He recognised the name, it was a name which hadn't been spoken in many years but it was a name which has gone down in fae history. An infamous name which hardly anyone dared to say.

"Nero you say?" He stroked his beard in thought as his face contorted to one of a worried expression. "I have heard of the name, in fact many many fae have. Though not all of them would know the name . they are written in many different tales of grief." The dark tone of Adam made Kelso shiver and Sylvester to tense up.

"Please could you elaborate?"Sylvester Surprised himself with how polite he was being. Adam had created a rather thick atmosphere but he was rather light regardless. He seemed to be calm in the middle of the storm which was happening.

There was a moment of awkward silence. Adam didn't really want to tell the story, not in the human dimension. Though he knew that they had to be told. He stood up and walked to the kitchen. Sylvester was tempted to follow but he didn't want to seem too on edge. He knew that his emotions would affect Kelso and right now he wanted her to be as calm as she could be. It was also helping him stay as calm as he was.

This wasn't a time to panic , though it was rather difficult not to. The situation was something which they could not find a solution to but now that the solution could be in their hands, they felt more fear towards doing the thing which could erase all their worries. Neither of them were eager to go to the fae dimension. Kelso wanted to see the sights and feel the atmosphere of the fae dimension.Though neither of them were ready for what it could mean. If it meant getting Tyrell and Laylian back then they would do anything.

Adam returned to the living room with some herbs and an ashtray in his hands. The herbs were sage , which meant that he was about to say something which shouldn't be heard by any unwanted ears.

"Alright." Adam burnt the sage and placed it in the middle of the room. "I'm only going to be saying this one so listen and listen carefully." Sylvester and Kelso looked at each other and nodded , turning back to stare at Adam. They were ready to soak up every word he had to say.

"Well you know that the fae dimension was created because of the dark fae. The dark fae are simply more evolved fae. That is why not all dark fae are bad, they are simply just evolved fae. " There was a moment of silence as his eyes were trained straight on Sylvester. "A few years after the dark fae came into existence , Nero was born. They were born female but soon realized that they did not care for the idea of gender. This came along with the idea that dark fae should rule over everybody. That was until their father decided to put a stop to the cruelty that Nero was doing. Nero had kidnapped and tortured many humans and fae . Nobody agreed with them but nobody was powerful enough to oppose them. Except for Neireith . Neireith was all Nero had and Nero was all Neireith had. Therefore he was able to make the sacrifice of his life as he created the dimensions. Hoping to trap his child on the other side."
