chapter 26

Chapter 26

There was a rather audible gasp which came from Tyrell's lips as he looked around the room. He had entered behind everyone else, though even if he hadn't he would have fallen behind as he looked around the grand room.

There were three other people in the room , all beautiful , though that wasn't where Trell's focus was. He had always loved architecture and the design of the building was extremely advanced, this room was a perfect example.

The room was an almost octagonal shape though the back wall was much longer than the side walls. The colour scheme seemed to be blue and stone. The walls were bare save for a few blue banners and hangings. The banners and hangings seemed to have a specific pattern printed on it which Tyrell Found difficult to focus on.

It had a lot of shapes to it. It looked like something that you would see in a kaleidoscope image , stars and moons were spread out with lines and different markings, it was a rather unique pattern that Tyrell couldn't focus on much.

In front of the larger wall stood two thrones. There was a significant difference between them. The one on the left was much higher than the one on the right. The taller throne looked much more feminine than the shorter one. Tyrell assumed that this was to make the person who was sitting in them taller, both ending up at the same height.

The thrones were golden and blue to match the surroundings. The blue was a cyan colour , something that wasn't seen very often, it was a unique colour choice. The golden pieces looked cold and warm at the same time, which left the human wondering if they were made by actual gold. Which wouldn't have been surprising given that the fae can create things.

The throne on the left was a more rounded shape , looking like an oval was the back part of the thorne whilst the one on the right was more rectangular. There was also a gold rimmed carpet which extended from the doorway to the thrones.

Tyrell thought he had stepped into a movie or television set. It was something which was extremely unbelievable to him. Though it also brought him back to reality at the same time. He was, at that moment, in another dimension. He had never doubted the fae when they talked about the dimensions , though now it was confirmed.

"Laylian!" A woman exclaimed as she walked across the room and over to the group, she held her arms outstretched and Laylian melted into them. Accepting the hug off her mother. Laidra's dark honey coloured eyes shone as she looked her daughter up and down before cupping her cheeks. "I am so pleased to see that you are safe.

Laidra was quick to give her two sons a hug as well , stating how she missed them and are happy for their return. Vansilla just stood to the side and watched her parents. Selltresse and Vandkin sat patiently on their thrones, awaiting to hear a report from Addafor.

It was obvious that the two who were sitting in the thrones were the rulers, and therefore they were Vansilla's parents. He could honestly pick any feature about them and explain why that feature showed their royal status . Their posture was much straighter than anybody else's , showing off power through their height. Selltresse's hair was pulled into a rather large and fancy bun at the top of her head, it looked rather painful. Their clothing was elegant and fit for royalty, Selltresse wore a long, scarlet dress which seemed to be made from silk and velvet. Whilst Vandkin Wore a rather bright and bold suit , its colour matching Selltresse's dress.

The family resemblance was rather clear, Vanilla had the same light blonde hair colour as both of her parents. She also seemed to have a mixture of their eye colours. Selltresse had eyes which reassembled the summer sky , Vandkin had eyes which resembled the leaves of spring.

Vanilla's eye colour had seemed to shift from when she was outside, when she was out in the first her eyes seemed to reflect her surroundings, they were aforest green. Though now that she was inside her eyes had changed to a cold blue colour. It was a phenomena that Tyrell hadn't seen much before. Though he wondered if there was a reason for the shirt in colour or if it was just environmental.

After the greetings between the Caileafaq's , Addafor step forward and bowed respectfully. "The mission was a success, as you can see. He gestured to his daughter who had an upset expression upon her face. "The human dimension was rather interesting, though i couldn't' tell if there was anything out of place."

"Ah yes i see." Vandkin's cold voice said as his eyes trailed to Laylian, who didn't make any indication to meet his gaze. "However, if you could not find anything out of the ordinary then please explain. He started to get up out of his throne. "What is this...human doing here?"He stepped forward , his footsteps muffled by the carpet under his feet.

The only human in the room was now back holding Laylian's hand. He was extremely nervous, he could feel the power radiating off Vandkin 0 and it wasn't a pleasant experience. It didn't feel like the calming presence of Laylian, though it wasn't the hostile presence of Nero. It was simply a powerful presence.

"His name is Tyrell." Addafor chimed in before his daughter could, he knew that his daughter would reply with a tone which was much less nicer tan his. "That was an incident , though he seems to know Laylian quite well. We couldn't leave him in the forest, we aren't' entirely sure if we can send him back either."

Hearing the words out loud made Tyrell take in a shaky breath, he had assumed that was the possibility. That he would never go back and would never be able to see his twin or his Sylvester again. Selltresse watched hsi reaction closely and stood up to position herself next to her husband.

"Addafor, may we please discuss this without the children being present?" The children in question resisted the urge to groan out in disagreement. They knew that doing that was nof only rude but would probably earn them more work then they would be able to do, then that would result in even more work. They had spent several sleepless nights doing work thanks to that endless cycle.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Tyrell..." Vandkin's eyes bore into Tyrell's as he spoke. "We shall try our hardest to get you back home. This dimension is no place for a human." His eyes quickly travelled to Laylian as he gestured for the children to start leaving. Vansilla took Tyrell's hand and started to leave the room.

There was little room to argue as he was yanked out of the throne room and stood on the wall opposite the door. Laylian was left inside the throne room with the royals and her parents. Her parents had an almost sympathetic look on their faces, they knew not to share their true feelings with their daughter in front of the royals.

"I do hope that you are not too attached to the boy." Vandkin muttered as he walked back towards his throne and sat down. Even if he wasn't looking at Laylian, she could still feel his gaze . "I doubt that he would survive here...and even if he did , he is not one of us. " Vandkin leant forward in his seat. "Humans will never be able to live with us."

"I respectfully disagree." The air seemed to have been sucked out of the room. Addafore expected these words to come from Laylians' mouth but instead it was Laidra who had uttered the words. "It was the opinion of fae like that who caused the dimensions to be split in the first place." Laidra's dark eyes got darker as she spoke strongly.

Selltresse sighed and rubbed the space in between her eyebrows . "I know that this is a sensitive topic for the both of you after what happened. Though you must understand that humans aren't meant to work with us. We are now simply tales that they speak of. We do not exist to them just like they shouldn't exist to us."
