Chapter 19
Sneaking into a school and getting a student's address turned out to be easier than the fae thought. Laylian and Sylvester were the latest new students accepted into the school and so with a quick search on the school's computer , their address was in the hands of the fae.
"They really should improve that..." Landso said as his fingers twitched. He was very tempted to improve the school's security. Vanilla and Acheron smiled and rolled their eyes at the same time.
"Please don't' lock the humans out of their own information." Addafor said as he startled the teens. He had been having a look around the school. He found it fascinating the amount humans had evolved since he had last encountered them."Also it is preferred that the humans have no idea that we are here."
Landso sighed at his father's almost sarcastic looking smile."fine..." Landso picked his bag back up and wrote down Laylian's address into a spare book he had brought along. "But if someone ...undesirable does what we just managed to do do not blame me."Landso raised his hands in surrender but Acheron had interrupted the action by swinging an arm around hsi brother's shoulder.
"Well, we have it now so hopefully it won't matter if any undesirable people manage to get through as Layla Won't be here." Addafor nodded sadly at his son's statement. It was a rather saddening thought that Laylian had a taste of the freedom nd adventure the human dimension offered, yet she is going to have it cruelly ripped from her hands.
Vansilla had been oddly quiet during this time and so all three males turned to her,. "What?" She asked looking closely at a fake plant. "Why...what is this? It's interesting okay?!" Her voice raised at the end as her friends started to snicker at her behaviour. It was amusing watching someone look so intensely at a plastic plant. "Lets just go..."
Vanilla started to walk at a quick pace towards the door, avoiding any other distractions that could stop ehr in her tracks and require her attention. The two teenagers ran up to catch her and stay at her pace whilst Addafor just looked fondly at the children and walked slowly out of the school after making sure that there was no evidence that they had been there in the first place.
It was rather difficult to find Laylian's house, in fact they didn't find it until late sunday morning. They had turned right from the school after they exited. They had the assumption that Laylian hadn't gotten far and they relied on that in order to guide their steps . If they had went left from the school then they would have probably made it to Laylian's house in under thirty minutes.
They felt extremely tired at the time that they passed the school for the second time. In hindsight they would have split up , two going left and two going right but none of them wanted to be less vulnerable then they already were considering the threat that may be in the human dimension.
They trudged around the corner of the street that the school was on, they were rather doubtful that they'd actually find the house. They were just looking at the door numbers and seeing if they could feel Laylian's energy. Though they had come to the realization they hadn't paid much attention to what Laylian's energy felt like.
"None of these houses look like...a house Laylian would live in." Acheron stated as he looked around the street, staring at each front door and trying to peek in every window he could see. He was interested in the housing arrangements of the humans and if he was honest the fae too. They didn't exactly live in a normal house.
"Well you have a point..." Landso was deep in thought. "But they have still only been here a little while, perhaps she was too busy to make it look her own?"Addafor nodded in understanding whilst also looking around at the streets. It was dark and they were cold. They could have settled somewhere for the night but that would take at least another hour.
"Or maybe she's not allowed." Vanilla swung her arms at her sides . "all the houses here look all boring, they're all the same. Maybe they're forced to be that way." The realization came to them at that moment, perhaps they were looking for the wrong thing. They were looking at the houses and trying to figure out which one laylian would seem to live in when they should just be focusing on the address.
"You have a good point Vansilla! Well done." Addafor cheered as his sons rolled their eyes sneakily. Vansilla saw this and shrugged her shoulders. They spent a few minutes walking down the street before they came to the door with the correct number on it. With a quick investigation they knew someone lived there, someone who liked plants and perhaps had a pet.
"Do you think this could be it?" Acheron questioned as he looked through the letterbox, or tried to at least as there was something covering it from the other side.
"Definitely...it's the correct address...I think" There was little to no way of getting into the house, the doors and windows were all locked. That was except for a high up window.
It was a small window, It was about a foot in height and it was rather wide , about three foot. The boys knew there was no way of getting in through there. Well they knew there was no way that they would get in there. In an almost simultaneous mannar the males all turned to Vansilla, who began to shake her head.
"Oh no no no there is no way i'm going int here." She crossed her arms and stomped her foot like a toddler. Only to flinch when Addafor crossed his arms and stared her down . Addafor's dissaprovign stare was something nobody wanted to witness since Addafor was such a lovable person. Seeing him unhappy could make even the most unpleasant fae think twice. "Fine..."
