Chapter 15
The twins had spent their saturday afternoon eating ice-cream and watching movies with their nanna. Hazel had suggested going out somewhere nice since they were all dressed up but the twins hadn't felt at all int he mood to deal with people at that moment. Hazel understood this but she didn't let them get changed without a nice cup of tea beforehand.
There was a debate over what movies they should watch , this is a rare occasion for the twins as they usually agreed on things such as this. Though today they had contrasting opinions. Kelso wanted to watch something funny to get her mind off the event that had just ha[[ened . Whereas Tyrell wanted to watch a sad movie to wallow in his sorrows.
They hadn't came to a conclusion when Hazel recommended a scary movie, they would be distracted and would still feel a tremendous amount of emotions from the genre and so it was a perfect mix of the two. The twins laughed at the people making bad decisions and were scared at the intense scenes. It worked out well.
Hazel was spending her afternoon in the kitchen, she was baking something nice for the twins and occasionally coming in to ask their opinions as she knew how picky kelso was. They had only taken a few bites of food at the restaurant so they were filling up on ice-cream until tea was ready.
It was around six in the evening when Kelso's phone made a noise, it was a picture of Sylvester and Ebony cuddling on a park bench, with a few swipes there were more pictures of the fae's trip to the forest with the temporary addition to the family.
Kelso showed Tyrell with a small smile on her face. The emotions from the horror movie were lessening as they watched their significant other's smiling faces. "Should we invite them over?" Asked Kelso with a pleading expression on her face. This caused Tyrell to sigh.
"I dont' know..." There was a moment of silence as he thought. "Do you think...we've spent Too much time together?" There was emphasis on the word 'too'. This was an anxiety that Tyrell had for a while now. What if the fae spent so much time with them that they got bored? He knew that he would never grow tired of Sylvester but sylvester was a dark fae, he was just a plain and boring human.
"Awe Tyrelllll." Kelso dragged out her brother's name as she wrapped her arms around him. "Personally i don't think so...I've seen clingy-er couples and to be honest, it would probably be the same if you guys lived together! If not less. So please don't pay those thoughts any mind. " Kelso needed to tell herself this as she had the same anxieties. "So therefore I will invite them over!"
With a quick text to Laylian and a slight disclaimer not to ask about how the day went their plans for the evening were set. Ebony joined the fae in visiting the Jewlson household where the twins greeted them with love and affection.
The four humanoids were sitting at the table in the back garden. Since it was rather late they had taken blankets outside and were all wrapped up, warm drinks in their hands and snuggling up to their significant other. Tyrell had dug out one of his old tennis balls and they all took turns throwing the ball for Ebony.
"Ah this brings back memories." Laylian said as she looked fondly at the ecstatic dog chasing the ball. "Remember Sylvester? When we saw that wolf in the forest?" The comment caused Sylvester to scoff but smile happily either way .
"Of course i remember that." The humans were looking at the fae with rather shocked and confused expressions, awaiting the fae to elaborate. "How many times do you meet a random wolf in the forest and throw sticks for them?" The question made Laylian quirk an eyebrow and look pointedly at her friend "...okay for me it was all the time but for people who don't live in trees . how common is it?"
"Wait you legit lived in the trees?" Kelso asked excitedly. "Like...do you think you could teach me how to survive in the forest? I've always wanted to well live out somewhere int he forest or something, in a cabin of course. But i've seen many people go out and live int he forest and i think it's really cool!" With each and every word Kelso's eyes grew brighter and Sylvester's hope grew larger.
"really? " Sylvester's tone was serious as he looked Kelso dead in the eyes, trying to see if she was making fun of him or not. Sylvester knew that Kelso wouldn't do something like that on purpose. Though he was extremely used to being made fun of for his lack of a home, even by the other dark fae. Kelso nodded with an excited grin on her face. "Uh- sure, i'd be happy to, once this is all over."
Tyrell had casually taken his phone out of his pocket and was looking at the symbols from the place. It was bugging him that they hadn't focused on them much , even if they didn't think about it for a day made him feel guilty. They were able to find out how to destroy the cause of the dimensions, the reasons fae and humans were separated all those years ago . That should be their main priority right now, not their issues with their parents.
"Yeah when this is all over." Laylian nudged Kelso with ehr shoulder . "we will be able to do so many things we haven't had the chance to do ...such as basically everything and everything." There was a silent sigh of agreement from all of them. They had tomorrow to deal with the rest of the symbols and to figure out what could set the symbols off. They just hoped they wouldn't need anything too unusual in order to activate them.
