Chapter 11

"That could have gone better..." Hazel said with disappointment as she served tea to her grandchildren. The three of them were painfully aware that Lorraine and Oscar were just outside. It was putting a kind of storm cloud above the house and no-one could relax after what had happened only a few short minutes ago.

"Yeah..." The twins said in unison in the same sad tone. They had little hope for the evening but it seemed to have gotten worse then what they had expected. The two of them didn't really feel like eating after the conversation with their parents, Kelso wanted to go upstairs and sleep whilst Tyrell wanted to read in order to get away from the world.

There was one thing which could make the night better and that thing seemed to know that. Kelso's phone began to ring from across the room. The three of them stared at it , as it was the first time it had rang since they had moved in with their nanna. Hardly anyone rang the twins , so it was very easy to know who it was.

The frown was still on kelso's face as she looked at the phone seeing "little dove <3" as the caller ID, with a small smile which didn't stay long on her face she clicked the 'answer' button before pressing the phone to her ear. "Yessss?" She drew out the last syllable in order to disguise the negative emotions she was feeling.

"Hun don't try to disguise that sadness for me i can tell from here that your'e sad." Laylian said almost immediately as Kelso answered the phone. "We have something here that we think will cheer you up, besides ourselves of course . we know we are the best medicine for sadness."

Kelso had to crack a smile at Laylian's sassiness, little did she know Laylian was cursing Vansilla under her breath . "okay then...what is it? Kelso moved back over to Tyrell so that he could hear the conversation too with the assumption that this would also improve his mood. "We really need the happiness right now."

They could hear shuffling on the other end of the line as Laylian moved over to Sylvester who had Ebony in his arms. "Hey honey !" They could hear Laylian say on the other end of the line. This caused so much confusion within the twins but they waited to hear more before they jumped to the conclusion Kelso was slowly reaching. "Say hi to the twins!"

There were moments of silence before the twins could hear tiny breaths , no tiny pants. They could also hear a slight chuckle coming from Sylvester. "Wait is that-" Tyrell began to say as he nearly snatched the phone off his twin. "I hear panting, small panting...is that a dog?" The excitement was slowly bubbling in Tyrell as a smile had already taken over his face.

"Bingo." Laylian said quietly as to not startle Ebony. "Sylvester found her this afternoon-" The twins frowned thinking about how bad the weather had been that day "-just after you left. He's been smitten ever since." The twins could imagine Sylvester scoffing and rolling his eyes but focusing back on Ebony anyways.

No matter how bad their day had been the news put small smiles on the twins' faces. "That's brilliant!" Tyrell said happily. The twins were very much animal lovers and their cousins had a whole load of pets over the years that they had stayed there, from snakes to cats to dogs to hamsters.

"Yes it is-" The two fo them could hardly hear Sylvester mutter that to Ebony as he snuggled her closer ot him. It reminded him of his days in the forest surrounded by animals and other forest creatures . Though the feeling which was radiating from the Jewlson household was still bugging him as he could still feel the sadness and despair coming from there.

"So do you want to talk about it?" Laylian asked into the phone which seemed to startle the twins. "Or do you want us to come over with the pup?" She asked cheekily , fully knowing the answer. The twins usually had different means of calming down and cheering up.

Tyrell would usually be one to talk about things after he had calmed down , perhaps shed a tear or two whilst kelso would be the one to distract herself and bottle up her emotions until they explode one day in a fit of tears .

"Puppy please." the twins both said in unison, another thing about the twins is that when they are upset their tendency to do things at the same time increases such as their tendency to talk at the same time or to walk with the same foot at the same pace.

The two fae were almost immediately at the Jewlson household as they were putting their shoes on whilst the twins had given their answer. They knew that the twins would need some people to be there for them, to hug or talk to . Plus Ebony was the perfect excuse to go over there. The twins hadn't even thought of the idea there parents were still outside in their camper van.

It was a bit of a surprise when the fae had rounded the corner and saw the van parked in front of the front door. It spiked a little bit of anger in them too to see it so close to the tree. They dismissed it rather fast as it was still a little chilly outside and Sylvester could feel Ebony shivering.

The twins were waiting by the window for them to come around the corner and raced to the door in order to open it before they got there . The twins were quick to usher them inside where they both spent time cooing at Ebony, who was now sniffing around the new place.

Lorraine and Oscar were watching them from the window of the van, they knew exactly who these people were and their relation to their children. They watched the happiness and eagerness which came on their children's faces when they opened the door to their significant others . They felt a pang of anger and jealousy bubble up in them.

"What are we going to do now?" Lorraine asked her husband. "The influences that our children are surrounded by are no good for them..."She stood up and walked towards her bed, which was only about two feet away.

"Well if it's the influence of those two who are doing this then it's a simple solution ." Oscar said pointedly. He followed his wife to the bed and wrapped his arms around her . "then all we need to do is get them out of the way of those influences."
