The ship has arrived and they have unloaded the luggage for Nino, Gorilla, and Nathalie to carry to the new mansion they chose from the real estate. Gorilla had to drag the two coffins due to their weight. Inside, Adrien pretends to be dead in case someone checks on them. It was daylight outside and they could not come out or they get burned. They were placed in a separate room for the day. Adrien woke up too early and got burned from the sunlight shining through the window, making him scream.

"Whoa! Hold on!" Nino quickly closed the curtains to save him, "Dude, you woke up too early!"

"Sorry, got so excited to arrive," Adrien said, his burned skin rapidly healing to normal.

"As much as I like to see you excited, a little heads up next time. If your father saw you almost roasted into ashes, he would kill me" Nino said.

"Got it. The stress probably made me sleep less. I just don't like traveling in coffins. It gives me motion sickness" Adrien said.

"I thought vampires don't throw up," Nino said.

"Really?" Adrien stood up from the coffin but bumped his head on a chandelier, "Ow!" He stopped the chandelier from moving, "I must either move the coffin or the chandelier"

"Where did that come from? I suppose the coffin. The chandelier is pretty much attached to the ceiling" Nino said.

"Ok, coffin it is" Adrien moved it.

"Heh, so you can feel pain?" Nino snickered.

"Shut up" Adrien rolled his eyes and then looked around his new room, "Hmmm.... very stylish"

"And depressing since black is always the color tradition for your kind," Nino said.

"And red" Adrien showed the red liner on his cape

"Mmhmm. You need a new favorite color of your own one of these days. Red is like an addiction every time you drink blood" Nino said, making sure all the curtains and closed in the mansion.

"Like green?" Adrien guessed.

Nino picks up Plagg, "Yup. You always love black cats that scary bats. You told me that my kind loves adorable kittens. Look at his eyes. Aren't they adorable to die for?"

"Yeah, I hope he'll find a mate," Adrien said.

"Speaking of mates, don't let your dad force you to get sexually attracted to vampire women. Last time they were like sirens from hell. Almost like hypnotizing you with seduction" Nino said before putting the cat down.

"I'm not sexually attracted. Gross! I rather be a virgin than have sex with a woman at my physical age" Adrien shuddered before looking at the kitchen downstairs, "Looks good to me" He said quietly.

"Yeah, this kitchen will be nothing but blood as your food only. When are you gonna use your teeth for chewing food instead of sinking in the neck like a straw?" Nino asked.

"Don't complain, Nino. I wish I did eat normal food but we vampires can't digest it. Don't forget that pasta and pizza have garlic and it could possibly kill us. I never want to go near it again" Adrien opens the fridge to make sure all blood bottles are in there, "Besides, to be a vampire, I have to drink blood. If I don't, I die or possibly go hungry savage"

"I remember the last time you went feral," Nino said.

"Exactly and it was very ugly. I cannot let that happen again. Especially how my father made me sink my fangs into his leftover meal corpse. I cannot stand it anymore" Adrien shuddered at that memory that would haunt him for eternity.

"Dude, you gotta stand up for yourself. I know he's mighty like a beast but this is about starting a new life, man. If your mom was alive, she would allow you to explore the world to grow and find a new bloom" Nino said before seeing the large dining room.

"New bloom?" Adrien raised a brow while drinking blood from a bottle.

"Something that can bloom like a flower in your life. Maybe be a hero, maybe save innocent people from danger, who knows. We humans don't have that kind of superpower to avoid dangers. There's gotta be something out there to awaken that deep undead heart to find a pulse" Nino said before starting a fireplace.

"A hero? Well, a dark knight of Paris" Adrien said.

"Remember last year you always wanted to be like a cat man? Cat burglars are happening around and they are women in catsuits" Nino chuckled and went to show him the living room.

"Yeah, this year they started to make these comics I've heard about," Adrien said.

"Exactly. Inspiration, my man. Inspiration has been going around for centuries and it creates a better future. Maybe then it could inspire you too. Instead of being like a Dracula badass style, be like a cat burglar man style" Nino suggested.

"I'm not a thief, Nino. But I do love that style of leather catsuit" Adrien chuckled.

"Isn't stealing human life source the same as a thief?" Nino asked.

"Maybe, but nobody will know it was a vampire doing it," Adrien said.

"They don't need to," Nino said.

"That's not the point. The last time at the village, they all saw I had no reflection in the mirror and I had no choice but to hypnotize them to erase that memory" Adrien said.

"Alright then," Nino said.

"If anyone finds out in Paris, I'll do it again," Adrien said.

"For real?" Nino said.

"Yes. Centuries before I met you, my family and I have been running from angry mobs" Adrien said.

"Yeah, but I never saw you as a monster," Nino said.

"And I wish your kind did the same too," Adrien said.

"I hope so one day," Nino said.

"But I do like what you said about me being a cat burglar. It could give me the chance to explore, blend in without turning into a bat, maybe grab rats to sink my fangs into, and get the hell away from my father" Adrien finished his blood bottle.

"That sounds like a brilliant idea" Nino agreed.

"Pretend I hypnotized you to get me a catsuit," Adrien said.

"I will" Nino nodded.

Adrien walks on the walls to the ceiling to rest.

"What are you doing?" Nino asked.

"Going for a nap" He turns into a bat.

"Now? You just slept in your coffin all the way here" Nino said.

"And I like sleeping upside down," Bat Adrien said.

"Don't get too batty" Nino said.

"I won't" Bat Adrien yawned.

"What time do you want me to wake you up?" Nino asked.

"At 5 p.m.," Bat Adrien said.

"Heh, favorite time. You really got to get out more often, dude master" Nino said before leaving him alone to let him sleep like a bat.

With Marinette, she was out on a walk in Paris. She came to the fashion shop to buy fabrics and silk cloth for her latest designs.

"Hmmm.... some red and black" She looks through.

"Well look who it is. The baker clumsy girl. You'll never win the fashion contest this year! I'll make sure your reputation is destroyed!" The snobbish blond said.

"Don't be sure, everyone knows your attitude problems!" Marinette replied.

"Everyone adores me! They just don't see things my way, baker girl! You're better off than being a fashion designer than your ridiculous Japanese ancestors" Chloe mocking about her ancestors.

"Chinese, Chloe! Learn the difference!" Marinette paid for her supplies.

"Whatever! You're nothing compared to me!" Chloe kept ranting.

Marinette scoffed and left the store to head home, "Man, that girl got some nerve" She thought.

She accidentally bumped into Alya, her best friend, "Oh sorry Alya" Marinette apologized.

"It's alright, Marinette. Been out shopping again?" Alya guessed.

"Yeah" Marinette picked up her fashion stuff and placed them in the bag, "And getting insulted by our favorite heartless brat, again"

"The daughter of the mayor, yes," Alya said.

"I'm sick of her taking her jealousy out on everyone who has mothers," Marinette said.

"Just because her heartless mother left to go to New York years ago. I don't even like that woman who can't even appreciate fashion designers with great inspiration" Alya said.

"She can't see the hard work the artist has done," Marinette said.

"That's another reason I hate her. The sun is setting, girl. You need to get home. You know how rumors believe that black cats like to be out at night to cause bad luck" Alya said.

"Of course" Marinette looks at the sky.

It was 5 pm and Adrien transformed into human form and was still asleep upside down.

"Hey, Adrien wake up!" Nino called for him.

"Aaahhhh!!!" Adrien lost his footing and as he was about to hit the floor, he stopped himself with levitation to avoid the laws of gravity, "Sheesh, don't do that again" Adrien safely lowered himself down on the floor.

"Sorry man but your father wants you. I tried to tell him you like peace and quiet but he was bossing my ass to do it" Nino said, not liking that old man with no patience at all.

"Okay, he better not waste my time" Adrien goes to meet his father.

"He's always gonna waste your time," Nino said.

Adrien nodded and went to the living room, "Okay what is it, Father?" Adrien asked.

"I expect you to follow the vampire traditions. It can never be changed. Is that clear?" Gabriel said sternly.

"That's it? I'm already doing it but it's the same thing over again" Adrien said.

"You still constantly try new things. It's forbidden" Gabriel said.

"Maybe because I want to! I've been isolated my whole life!" Adrien complained.

"So have the rest of our kind. Humans are the real monsters that killed your mother!" Gabriel said, which made Nathalie and Gorilla feel offended to be called monsters.

"Not all of them are monsters! We have the same hands, body, face, everything like a human" Adrien said.

"Why should I trust more than three? The world can't accept us" Gabriel said.

"The reason you don't trust is because you let fear in your head" Adrien morphed into a bat to fly outside in the night.

"Come back here!" Gabriel shouted.

"Let him be. He's just a kid" Nathalie said.

"He better be careful to not be caught," Gabriel said.
