Chapter 3 // Just Another Day at the Job
I'm back peeps!
I would wish Cap a happy birthday too but most of y'all probably ain't in the MCU so I'll keep my star-spangled mouth shut.
"Master Skywalker," Obi-Wan acknowledged, only using formalities because they were surrounded by what remained of the Council. Several of the masters had died in combat during the Battle of Exegol, consisting of Ki-Adi-Mundi, Saesee Tiin, C. Trebor, and Adi Gallia. Their deaths were mourned, but none compared to the feeling of sorrow that was still being held for Ahsoka. "Why did you wish to speak to the whole Council?"
"On top of the deaths on Jedha, something alarming has happened," he began, catching the attention of all of the Council members. "Last night, Knight Tano's burial chambers were broken into and her lightsabers were stolen."
A collective, almost theatrical-like gasp broke out. Mace Windu was the first to speak up with, "Do we have any idea if these events are related?"
Anakin couldn't help but inwardly smile at the somewhat gentle tone of the Jedi Master. Ever since Ahsoka's sacrifice on Exegol, something had changed inside of him. Now he was a much softer Jedi that agreed to not following the Code as strictly as he had done before. To say in the least, his change of heart had been very welcomed amongst the other Jedi.
"There's no evidence, not even a camera feed," Anakin explained, taking a seat beside Obi-Wan.
"It's practically impossible to break into the Temple, let alone a secure place like Tano's. This had to have been the work of a Force-sensitive." Obi-Wan scratched his chin, a sign of deep thought.
"Dooku, surely not," Yoda replied.
"Who else then? It's not like one of our own would do that," Anakin argued, but he instantly hushed after his last few words. "Or... could they? It would definitely have been easier for someone on the inside to steal them."
"But why do that? Why Knight Tano's? Why not just go for any other Jedi's?" Shaak Ti asked, furthering the confusion that the Council was in.
"They must be trying to figure out why Ahsoka was so strong. If there was any place to begin looking, it would be her lightsabers. It's the only thing left that could have any clues," Anakin guessed.
"Not the only thing," Obi-Wan corrected. "There was a certain droid that I remember her taking on her secretive trips..."

The Gray Jedi let out a growl as she Force-pushed two entire rows of battle droids into the rest of the legions, using enough force to crush them. She turned to her left, to which she encountered a hallway of droidekas that were rolling her way.
She grunted and rolled her eyes, then removed her lightsabers from her belt and powered them on. She ran headfirst to meet them, using one of her blades to deflect blaster fire from herself and using the other to stab into the main systems of the so-called death balls. Everything seemed so much harder back then, when she was without her extra powers and guidance from the Ones. Nowadays, the sky was the limit with what she could take on.
After finishing with the droidekas, Ahsoka turned back around to gauge how many battle droids she had left to take on. Once again, for about the twentieth time, hundreds of droids had begun to file into the surrounding hallways. Of course, Ahsoka wasn't really sure what else she had expected, given the fact that she was currently single-handedly storming a Separatist base in order to capture the commander of the facility.
Ahsoka continued on with her fighting, but she eventually began to grow impatient. It was clear that she was not going to be getting through the seemingly endless army of metal hunks anytime soon. If she was going to get out of their quickly enough, she needed a different strategy.
After several minutes of thinking passed, she finally came up with an idea. Maybe destroying all of the droids wasn't the answer, but instead preventing them from crossing her path?
She dropped to the ground, all the while using her mind to create a bubble of protection around herself, then placed both hands on the ground. In a similar fashion to what she did on Exegol, she allowed herself to feel every drop of energy that was flowing throughout the building.
It took a bit, but she eventually was able to separate the organic energy from the veins of electricity that flowed throughout the building. If she could take out their source of electricity, then she could virtually lock down the facility and prevent any droids that weren't already on her path from reaching her.
So, Ahsoka thought to herself with a smile, that's exactly what I'll do.
The Gray Jedi took a grip on any and all traces of electricity she could find throughout the base, then forcefully extinguished them. It definitely took a large sum of energy to do, and she had to collapse the bubble of protection she had formed around herself, but it was well worth it. Within seconds, the lights were shut off and the sound of doors locking could be heard. She looked up at the droids that were now beginning to advance on her again, then took them out with one swipe of her fingers and a smirk.
"Oh Separatist bad guy~" Ahsoka sang out as she pushed herself off the ground and to her feet. "I'm coming for you!"
However, that wasn't necessary, because the moment that she said that, she heard the hissing of melting metal coming from a door behind her. She turned around and saw a weapon similar to that of a lightsaber poking through the locked door, then moving in a circle and cutting a hole through the metal.
"These idiots," Ahsoka mumbled under her breath, "first Dooku, then this guy. I mean, come on! He isn't even Force-sensitive!"
"Maybe not, but I'm the best gunman you'll ever..." Ahsoka turned to see the Separatist commander that had just emerged from the hole that he had created with a blaster poised in his hands. Ahsoka scoffed, then simply pulled the exact same stunt she had on Dooku. With just a simple wave of her pointer finger, the man fell unconscious and dropped to his side.
"Oh most definitely," Ahsoka sarcastically agreed. "I'm sure every single shot you take never misses, that is, when you actually take it."
Ahsoka was about to make her escape with her prize, but she suddenly realized something. She wasn't the only one in this base.
At first, she assumed they were just other officers, but the more she searched the signatures, the more she realized that they were aligned with the Light Side.
They're Jedi. Ahsoka panicked at this realization. Her original plan was to blow the base to the high heavens to inhibit other facilities from using the leftover droids and equipment, but she couldn't do that when there were living Jedi being held prisoner in the base.
Doing what any good person would do, Ahsoka floated the limp body behind her as she ran towards the Force signatures. When she came across doors, she would hastily use the Force to throw them to the side, then continue on down the path. Soon enough, she came across three different cells with battered bodies lying in the corners.
Ahsoka didn't want to risk revealing her identity, so she kept her hood covering her face and didn't dare speak a word. Instead, she sliced through the prison bars and their bonds, then used the Force to pick them up as well and carry them alongside the Separatist commander.
"Did they finally send someone to save us?" A Twi-Lek rasped, causing Ahsoka to wince as she heard the pain in his voice. She wanted so desperately to respond and assure them that everything was fine, but she had an identity to keep. So, instead, she pretended to not hear his question and continue towards the exit.
Just as she was nearing the doors that led to outside, where her ship was being stashed, she quite literally ran into a legion of battle droids. With a scowl, she used one hand to keep the bodies floating, then curled her other into a fist. Just as she had commanded, every single droid body was crushed into a ball of metal and sparking wires. Ahsoka could sense the growing shock and uneasiness of the battered Jedi from behind her, but none of them made a move to escape. They either knew that she was on their side or they were simply too tired to struggle against her hold.
Ahsoka finally burst out of the doors and into the crisp air of the planet, then jogged to what seemed like an empty area of grass. Using the Force, she lifted the cloaking layer that she had cast over her ship, then opened the doors. She hastily set the bodies down in the cargo hold, then turned back to the base.
To be honest, Ahsoka felt too tired to do anything. She really just wanted to call it a day and make it back to the apartment she was staying at on Coruscant, then move onto her interrogation with the Separatist commander. Then, just like she had done with Dooku, she would dump him at the Temple when she was finished.
"You have a job to do," Ahsoka reminded herself with a sigh. She held both hands out to the wretched facility, then began the process. It was strenuous, difficult, time-consuming, and all-in-all a pain, but it had to be done.
Ahsoka watched in amazement as the building began to crumble on itself. Fires erupted from nearly every crook and nanny, and hundreds of explosions could be heard. At multiple points, Ahsoka even had to shield herself and the ship from flying debris that came rocketing from the collapsing facility. By the time she was done, there was nothing but rubble the size of pebbles left.
With a breath of relief, Ahsoka turned back to the ship and entered through the cargo hold. She passed the Jedi, who were all staring at her wide-eyed, then went directly to the piloting seat and set the coordinates to Coruscant.

Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace all paced around in a room. In one corner were three, frightened, beaten, and starved Jedi that they could barely get to talk, and in the other was a still-unconscious Separatist general.
"I still don't understand," Obi-Wan exclaimed in frustration. "This is the second time this mystery person had dropped off highly coveted Separatist generals. Who is he? Or she, I suppose, for that matter."
"None of us do," Anakin assured Obi-Wan, but turned to the bug-eyed Jedi. "Unless if any of you would mind sharing information about your savior."
Not a single one of them spoke. Instead, they remained quiet, both out of complete terror and malnutrition. With a sigh, Anakin looked back to Obi-Wan and Mace. "We've already given them food and water, right?"
When both Jedi Masters shamefully shook their heads, Anakin groaned in exasperation. "Really guys? Are you serious? Do I seriously have to do everything by myself?"
With a huff, he quickly exited the room and headed to his personal suite. Knowing that the food served at the cafeteria was absolutely awful and not something an empty stomach should consume, he opted towards some half-decent protein bars he had picked up from a nearby convenience store and bottles of water in his miniature fridge. He jogged back, handing the food and drinks to the Jedi accordingly. He winced as he watched them all down the water like there was no tomorrow, but only nibble at the food in fear of losing what little contents were in their stomach.
Then, the Twi-Lek, who seemed to be in the best of condition of the three, began to speak. "We never saw its face, but it...it was..."
He looked away and paused for the right words to use.
"It was powerful. It collapsed the whole entire Separatist base on itself. There's nothing left."
"With explosives?" Mace asked.
"No, with the Force. That's only the beginning of what it could do, too. It never spoke when we were around, and was capable of making us and the general pass out with just the twitch of a finger. Whatever it was..." he paused, perhaps to add drama to the matter, "you better thank your lucky stars it seems to be on your side."
"And that we do," Anakin admitted, looking over to the slowly-waking Separatist general. "We just want to know why."
Another ducking short chapter but this is literally the fourth chapter I've written today (compliments of my other stories) so I'm too tired to even care. Peace out and have yourself a lovely little rest of the night, my friends.
