Prologue:
"No! I'm not going!" I scream at the top of my lungs, my mother angrily staring at me, her face red from how much we've been yelling.
"Yes you are! You're coming with me to Kalos! You aren't staying here with your wretched father! This is part of the divorce, moving to Kalos." She starts to calm, hoping I would too, but I'm too angry to stop.
"YOU are going to Kalos. I am staying here, where I'm going on a journey with my best friends. Brendan and May are leaving tomorrow, and so am I." I snarl, turning on my heel and stomping out of my house, hoping to get away from my mother.
"You're leaving all right, leaving to Kalos!" She follows me, her face still red even though she isn't screaming as much. I turn around and face her, my face covered with anger.
"Who says I'm going with you?! I'm staying with Dad in Petalburg. I'll go to May's Dad's Gym everyday to train." I boldly step forward, before turning and marching to Brendan's house, who always knows how to comfort me.
"Ah, Zeke! How nice to see you! Brendan and May are both upstairs. Have fun dear." Brendan's Mom smiles, waving me up the stairs as I walk in, immediately knowing my destination.
"Zeke! You okay?" May rushes up to me, wrapping her arms around my neck and pulling me in for a hug.
"Mom is making me leave to Kalos with her because she left Dad. Now I have to leave and can't go on a Journey with you guys." I growl angrily, pulling out my only Pokeball, which contains my partner.
"Torchic, c'mon out bud." I let out my energetic fire-type, who immediately nuzzles me as he comes out. May squeals at his cuteness and pats him on the head.
"Can't believe I found him in the wild." I whisper, petting my best Pokemon friend before pulling my two human friends in a hug.
"I'm gonna miss you guys. I should start packing and try to avoid another argument with my Mom. Here's my Holo Caster number. I'll call your PokeNav's and talk to you guys every now and then." I stand up and start to walk out, Torchic on my shoulder.
"W-wait!" May runs up to me and spins me around, wrapping me in a tight hug that deprives me from most of my air, then hands me a Pokeball that has a black surface with red lines around it.
"It's a Luxury Ball. The Pokemon you catch with it will become more friendly towards you. Stay safe. We'll miss you." They both wave goodbye and I walk home, dusk just now settling in.
I march in, returning Torchic and marching straight up to my room, locking the door behind me regardless of my Mom's protests. I slowly pack all my belongings into boxes and put them in one corner of the room I used to call my own. I quickly settle down on a air mattress for the night before drifting off into a dreamless sleep.
~The Next Day~
"Zeke, get up. We gotta go." My mother's agitated voice rings out from the other side of my door and I slowly get up, getting dressed and ready to go to Kalos, where I'll be starting my Journey immediately.
"Mach. Champ." The mover's Pokemon grab a bunch of boxes and quickly loading them up into the delivery truck. I crossly get into the front of the truck, my mother to my right and the driver to my left.
"We'll be taking a plane to Kalos. Lumiose City to be precise." My Mom tries to start a conversation, to which I quickly shoot down.
"Just another city I don't care about." I mumble back angrily, easily shooting her icebreaker down. She 'hmph's angrily before becoming silent. I huff in frustration and sit there, silently hoping this doesn't take very long, which thankfully it doesn't.
"We'll have this shipped to your house in Vaniville, it will be there and set up before you arrive." The mover says evenly, not taking his eyes off the road.
"C'mon Zeke, it's time to board our plane." I slowly get out of the truck, looking around for Brendan and May, who were supposed to meet us in Rustboro Airport before we leave.
"Let's hurry." Mom grabs my arm and starts to drag me, but I pull my arm away and angrily glare at her.
"You know who I'm waiting for so stop trying to keep me from telling my friends, who you're ripping me apart from, goodbye. I'm telling them goodbye." I snarl, turning to see them running at me, their arms wide open.
"Zeke!" They yell in unison, tackling me in a huge group hug, squeezing the life out of me, but making me smile nonetheless.
"I'm gonna miss you guys so much. Have fun on your Journey together, and I'll try to get some traveling companions for mine, though they won't be as great." I chuckle as Brendan starts sobbing hysterically while May is calmly crying.
"It's fine guys, we can meet up after all this, and hopefully two out of three of us will be Champions." I grin and hug both my friends one more time before reluctantly forcing myself to walk away.
"While you two are going to be Champions, I'm gonna be a Top Coordinator!" May cries out with a wave, making a tear stroll down my face as my heart throbs, I'm already missing them.
"You may now board the plane." The security guard says after we go through the metal detectors, and to my relief, we quickly board the plane and leave the Hoenn region and my entire life behind. I close my eyes and slowly drift off to sleep.
When I wake up, we are about to land so I relax as the plane slowly begins its descent. I pull out Torchic's Pokeball and decide to let him out after we get out.
Leaving the Lumiose Airport, Mom grabs my arm and forcefully drags me to the Route leading to Santalune City.
"C'mon. We're riding Rapidash back home." She throws a Pokeball into the air and her very confident Rapidash pops out, readying for a good run. We both quickly climb on and she automatically takes off, galloping through one route, a city, a forest, another city and then finally we stop at a house.
The town we're in is very small, only five or so houses closely bunched together, and ours is in between two houses closest to the gates.
"You must be Zeke!" A girl stops me from going in my house, which my Mom is already in. I turn to face her, and I'm stunned at how pretty she is.
She has a deep red, high waisted skirt with black sleeveless top, and long black OTK socks cover most of her legs. She has on knee-length riding boots, a red felt hat covering her honey blonde hair, which compliments her storm grey eyes, and a pair of white rimmed sunglasses rest on the hat.
"Uh...yeah, I am." I manage to mutter out, stunned by her. She giggles and covers her mouth before smiling warmly at me.
"I'm Serena! Serena Yvonne, daughter of Grace Yvonne the Rhyhorn Racer!" She smiles as my jaw hits the floor, and I feel my cheeks warm up at her smile.
"I'm just a kid from Hoenn, nothing really special about me..." I mutter, and her face turns to a frown.
"That's not true! I think you're cool and I would love if you came on a Journey with me!" She blurts out, and both our faces turn red.
A boy approaches us, a confident air about him. Serena sighs as she mutters something along the lines of "so impatient."
The boy has shoulder length black hair, and he's dressed in a track suit accented by white stripes, and a pair of black combat boots with a black messenger bag at his side.
"Serena, we've been waiting. You said that you and the new kid would meet us at the gates before running off. How long does it take-" He finally noticed my presence and shuts up mid-scold.
"Uh..hi? I'm Zeke by the way." I say, reaching my hand out for him to shake, and he does, smiling brightly. I feel my whole body get shaken by the sudden hand shake.
"I'm Calem, soon to be Champion of Kalos." He takes his hand back before turning back to Serena, who sassily glares back at him.
"Not if I do first! Just because both of your parents are Ace Trainers doesn't mean you're gonna be automatically strong." Serena sasses, flipping her hair before grabbing my arm and dragging me to the gate, where another girl is waiting.
The new girl has dark brown pig tails and a pair of dark brown eyes. She's wearing a hot pink shirt accented with large black bows, a pair of denim shorts, a pair of strappy sandals with a matching purse.
"Hi I'm Shauna! Nice to meet you!" The girl starts jumping up and down with boundless energy.
"I'm Zeke. Nice to meet you too." I say coolly, nodding to her. Calem and Serena soon catch up with me, both of them arguing with each other. I can't help but laugh, I just met these two barely fifteen minutes ago and I already know so much about them.
"Are you going to get a starter Pokemon too?" Shauna asks me, tilting her head in confusion, realizing that her, Calem, and Serena were getting their starters today.
"Nah. I already have a Pokemon, who just so happens to be a Hoenn starter Pokemon. Everyone, meet Torchic." I toss his Pokeball into the air and he pops out of it with a happy chirp.
"He's so cute! I can't wait to meet my starter! I bet mine will be cute too! We can wear matching bows and everything!" Shauna starts to babble on about how cute her Pokemon is going to be, making me grin.
"Torchic is also a great hugger." I grin evilly as he looks at me with a 'why would you do this to me?' look. Shauna gasps and immediately takes to squeezing the life out of him, commenting about how warm he is.
"Shauna, that poor Pokemon breathes too you know. Let him go. You'll have plenty of time to hug your starter once we get to Aquacorde." Serena cuts in, removing the small chic Pokemon from Shauna's death grip.
"Right! See you guys there! Hehe!" She giggles and runs off, flying down Route 1 and into Aquacorde, leaving us breathless at her nonstop energy.
"Shauna has always been like that. Serena has only known her for a month and Shauna has already taught her. I have, much to my dismay, grew up with all that energy. It's caused so many adventures and wounds it's not even funny." Calem chuckles, watching the spaz zoom off. I facepalm in unison with the other two and pull out my HoloCaster.
"You guys want to meet my friends in Hoenn?" I ask, receiving nods from the two of them, I turn my HoloCaster on and dial Brendan's number, silently praying that he will pick up.
Calem and Serena crowd around me, gazing intently at the space in front of it, where Brendan's face appears. Serena smiles and waves while Calem nods at him.
"Zeke! Oh my Arceus we've missed you so much! May picked Torchic, and I picked Mudkip! May wanted to remember you through choosing Torhic." Brendan grins before raising an eyebrow at the two people at my sides.
"These are my new friends, Serena and Calem. We're going on a Journey together. All three of us are competing to become Champion over here." I grin and motion to both of my new friends at the mention of their names.
"Sorry Zeke, I gotta go. Call me some other time, or call May. She's gonna beat the crap out of me since I got to talk to you and she didn't." Brendan sighs before ending the call and leaving me with my two friends.
"He seems nice. C'mon, we gotta get to Aquacorde if we want to get our starters today. Let's go!" Serena yells, grabbing our arms and dragging us along and onto Route 1.
A/N
A new book, a new OC, and I might make some new Gym Leaders. I know that I might replace Ramos with another OC, who is his granddaughter who specializes in two types. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, which is 100000% the longest chapter I've ever done. This one is 2000+ excluding this A/N.
If anyone reads this, then please Read, Vote, Comment, and Enjoy!
